Throwback Thursday: Kids' Party

What do you enjoy when watching games? Do you vibe when kids play fair or do you prefer when some are cheating without even realizing it? 😂

This Throwback Thursday, I decided to look back at a simple yet joyful gathering we had last September 21.

‎It was a kids' party filled with laughter, food, games, and prizes.
‎
‎The place where we held it wasn't fancy, and it didn't need to be.
‎
‎We had simple food, like pancit, bread rolls, a loaf, rambutan, and drinks.

The kids were so noisy that time. Not the chaotic kind of noise, though. It's just that they're so excited to play.
‎
‎We planned some games.
‎
‎Mostly games that everyone could join.
‎
‎We divide the kids into two groups.
‎
‎The first game was calamansi on a spoon.
‎
‎They need to balance it carefully on their mouths, no hands allowed.

The kids were clearly trying to follow the rules.
‎
‎Though my cousin Cham perfectly balanced the spoon in her mouth, but her hand was holding it. 😂
‎
‎You can see how concentrated she is, so serious, confident, without realizing that she's cheating. 😆
‎
‎But mostly, kids did their best to play fair.
‎
‎After that, the next game was to spin around about ten times, then walk straight into the chair where the calamansi is, and flick it using their fingers.

Surprisingly, this game turned out to be easy for them.
‎
‎They managed it so well.
‎
‎They are full of energy and focused at the same time.
‎
‎Also, the parents watch attentively, smiling, and recording the moment.
‎
‎Like they're so entertained by how the kids are taking the game.
‎
‎And after those two games, the winners were announced. And they received prizes.

Actually, all of them did.
‎
‎Because that's how you treat children.
‎
‎They participate so they deserve rewards.
‎
‎And in that way, you make everyone feel appreciated. 🥰
‎

‎Looking back now, I realized how children appreciate parties even if they're not expensive or grand.
‎
‎What's important to them are the moments, the games, small prizes, and eating together.
‎
‎Kids are now busy at school, but these simple parties will surely become the memories they will look back on.
‎
