Our Friends Vacation: Swimming at Vera Falls + Eating Halo-Halo at DJC + Strolling Along The Beach
My two couple of friends decided to spend their vacation at our place.
So we made a plan of what to do in a day to get the most out of it.
Our final target is to swim at Vera Falls, eat Halo-halo at DJC, and spend time at the seaside.
SWIMMING AT THE PICTURESQUE VERA FALLS
It was morning when we decided to go to Vera Falls. It is a scenic waterfall located in Tabaco, Albay, Philippines.
It is known for its lush greenery and giant, unique rock formations surrounding it.
It also has a natural pool where visitors can swim and relax.
As we arrived at the place, there were hiking trails that led to the falls.
As we made our way through the lush green forest, I could already hear the sound of rushing water, growing louder as we stepped closer. Of course, our excitement also increased because we had been waiting for this moment for weeks.
And finally, we were about to experience the breathtaking view of Vera Falls.
As we saw the falls, we couldn't help but gasp in awe. It looks mesmerizing as if I'm just viewing it on a large screen.
We also couldn't wait to take a dip in the natural pool at the base of the falls.
And so, we quickly changed into our swimwear and made our way down to the pool. The water was so cold but refreshing.
And so we spent the next few hours swimming and playing in the pool.
We laughed and splashed around, enjoying every moment of our time together.
As we swam, we couldn't help but notice the stunning surroundings. The rocky cliff towered above us, and the lush greenery surrounding us created a sense of calm.
After a while, we decided to take a break and sit on the rocks at the edge of the pool.
We watched as the water cascaded down the falls, creating a mesmerizing display of natural beauty.
After that, we decided to get out of the pool and make our way back to our clothes.
And so, we plan our next adventure.
EATING THE CLASSIC FILIPINO DESSERT AT DJC HALO-HALO
After the wonderful day at Vera Falls, it's time to take our lunch and so our dessert.
It was a hot afternoon when we went to the town of Tabaco, Albay. We were all sweating and thirsty so the famous DJC Halo-halo is a must.
We ordered a few rounds of it.
The first spoonful was like a symphony of flavors and textures. The coconut ice was creamy and rich.
While the sweetened banana, ube, milk, and lecheflan added natural sweetness.
The salty grated cheese on top provided a nice contrast, and the sago, gelatin, and macapuno added a fun chewiness.
We spent the next hour enjoying our halo-halo, chatting, and laughing together.
As we finished our halo-halo and prepared to leave, we all agreed that DJC Halo-halo was a must-visit destination in Tabaco, Albay.
We then left the eatery feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. And so we planned our next place to visit.
STROLLED ALONG THE BEACH
Our last plan is to enjoy the cool ocean breeze along the seaside.
As we came across a picturesque spot with a stunning view of the ocean, we decided to take some jump shots!
My hubby and I both burst out laughing as we couldn't capture the right moment.
Even though we counted down together, "1, 2, 3, jump!" we still couldn't jump in harmony.
But still, we took a few more jump shots, each one more playful and carefree than the last.
And so, finally! We leaped into the air and landed back on the land.
It's not as perfect as we expected, but those jump-shot moments were truly unforgettable!
And that's how our adventure ends.
I hope you enjoy how we spend our day, filled with laughter, excitement, and freedom.
Until our next place to visit... Buh-bye. 👋🥰
Man, it is so beautiful in there, especially in the falls. I'm so happy to discover a falls in Albay, thanks to this article. And the halo halo looks seriously good. Mukhang marami din servings. What a nice bonding between you and your friends ✨✨
Thank you. That's the only waterfall in Albay that I know of. 😅 Pero sa halo-halo talaga, panalo. Sobrang sulit. It's a must-try.
