Genus Leptosia

Latin NameObservation dateLocation
Genus LeptosiaJanuary 18 2026Central Aceh Regency,Aceh, Indonesia

In my opinion, this is a very gentle butterfly, this butterfly flies very smoothly, directed, and does not look aggressive at all. The good news is that this butterfly has a very large population in my area, we will be able to easily find it almost anywhere, I almost every day meet this butterfly in my cocoa plantation, and he has also become my best friend in the garden. But make no mistake, even though this butterfly is not aggressive, it is still a wild butterfly that is very vulnerable to humans, this butterfly continues to fly especially when we want to approach it, it flies slowly but never stops except when it starts to feel safe.

Photographing this butterfly is a challenge in itself, it keeps flying and is reluctant to stop so it requires patience and enthusiasm to be able to photograph it, we have to wait for the butterfly to land first and we also have to approach it very slowly, a little excessive movement will make the butterfly fly away immediately
