The End For Splinter Forge....

There has been a lot going on with crypto space and unfortunately this latest news I found is not on the positive side. A third party game that follows Splinterlands know as SplinterForge will stop operating near the end of this week. I had held some resources in that game and when I found out about the news I was pretty much too late in liquidating. In the end what I had I sold it for fractions of Hives making it a total meager of 0.05 Hive in all. These were many months if not years that I have stashed away cards in the game and pretty much forgotten.

On the game homepage there is no info as to the closure and its end. It gives us another glimpse on reality in the crypto space. There are boom and bust moments and this was a bust. Needless to say if I had been playing the game much more, as much as Splinterlands, I would have seen it coming. Its a good warning to us all that if we do not pay attention to a specific project we may not want to invest in it. Even if we held on to the assets it does not mean it will go up in the long run. Instead if there is no demand there is no point in the asset's existence. This is so true to any digital asset.

I currently still have three alpha packs in the game. I am not so sure as to what to do since the game is near its final days. I pursume it might be best to simply try opening the packs and burn the items in order to get something back in Hive. What do you all think?

Meanwhile in Splinterlands I am building Aura now and going strong.

Looking to harvest my first Aura soon enough as I have all resources in hand to use. It is the positive thing I got today and all I can think of it continue playing.

I am a bit worried for the internal Splinterlands side game, Soul Keep. With the closure of SplinterForge I can see other games with similar fate. Without the player's demand Soul Keep could end up closing up. I am already trying to figure out what to do since I still hold a large amount of packs in Soul Keep.
