Splinterlands' Soul Keep Stoppage

Over the years I know I have earned a ton of Hive and crypto assets from my participation and show of support of Splinterlands. I have no grudge against certain loses I made through the game because overall I have a net positive in gains. Yet still there are parts of the ecosystem that simply needs either an overhaul or shutdown.
One of those parts is the curtain status of Soul Keep. The game remains assessable to all but there are currently no updates. The tournaments are off and rewards simply non existent. The whole side quest basically has been dorment since April of this year.
As of today I was seeing some of my Soul Keep assets dropping over 50% and was looking over as to the reasons why?
My Nightmare packs holding averaging 5 Hive a pack and even then was considered a discount at my purchase price are now going for around 1 Hive and under. This is not the worse part.
The game itself is accessible but players who started out can not past League 1 due to lack of activities by the developers to update play format and allow players who start out to have the opportunity to play to earn beyond the first league.
The card market remains open and prices continue to fall. I had purchased some cards and opened some packs but as of now there is no status as to when the game will be fully operational with rewards distribution.
I have tried the game consistently when I was playing through league one and thought very highly of the game. It was a fresh of breath air seeing another way to play and earn SPS. Yet when I found out the game was not getting any update or revisions it seemed the developers, Double Coconut, has abandoned the game.
No news or information about when the game could get back on and have plenty of people playing. Instead players like myself need to stroll on Discord and find sub sections within Splinterland's official chat rooms to discuss what the current status is for Soul Keep. Not even the developers are active about the situation on discord.
I was one of some who picked up on the game right around the past six months and have been stuck with my Soul Keep assets since none of them can be used in the current status.
I feel somewhat taken advantage as I feel into purchasing Soul Keep cards thinking I would be able to use them in game. Instead I was stuck holding assets and purchased them at a higher past price than current market values.
No warnings as to when the game would come back on with latest updates. I agree with some of the active Splinteralnds's discord assessment of Soul Keep. If players had some form of warning message when on Soul Keep it would at the very least limit sales.
If Splinterlands does not do aything with Soul Keep it may come back to bite them.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!

I have plenty of other cards for rent! Just go on peakmonsters and check out the market place and if you are curious what I offer here is a link:
If You have yet to take part in playing this great game called Splinterlands please click on my referral link. It is free but in order to earn real assets such as cards and token you would have to invest in a starter deck or purchase game cards. Join the discord to learn more. Good luck!

THANKS FOR READING! CONTINUE TO PLAY SPLINTERLANDS!

I think that they should be keeping up to date on what is happening. It sucks to see that it is being neglected, but they were having financial troubles even before SoulKeep went live. So I am not too surprised. I think that their reputation will get hurt quite a bit even if nothing happens legally.
I have not lost faith in the Splinterlands developers but definitely doubting Double Coconut. Although I do not think Splinterlands developers leave unscathed, because they picked Double Coconut which lead to this.
I wonder if Soul Keep would qualify for the splinterlands crypto gaming recovery fund?
Worth a shot to ask for. It may even be sweet if Splinterlands buys back the game and updates it under its whole ecosystem. I know it maybe a lot of work but the game definitely can tailor to more players.
It's the same story over and over again.
They sell a bunch of assets for a game, take their costs and salaries from it, and part of what is left goes to reward. At the start, they are high, which brings in some initial attention but once they dry up everything collapses with no chance to recover.
Then they wonder why no new players come into the main game. Anyone who checks out card values see that older max level cards which have 400 cards combined, go at half the price of a single pack of new cards that has 5 cards in it. When clicking on Soulkeep, they also see a totally dead game. It's just a complete joke.
I am venting my frustration even though I have stood by with Splinterlands. Reading chats in discord channels makes me feel the developers of Soul Keep have a lot to make up for the fan base. I agree with what you are saying but maybe I am too naive to hold on to hope that things will turn for the better.
