Splinterlands Demand Rising?

With Hive prices free falling the value of cards appears to be holding up well. This is based on the amount of DEC needed to purchase cards versus their actual burn rate value. For instance the cheapest 3rd party market card currently has a ratio of 1.6 price above burn rate. This means the card's purchasing price is at 60% greater than actual value. Why this maybe a good sign?
In the beginning and even through Chaos set the burn rate has gotten close to 1.0. Which means players were willing to sell the cost of the card equal to that of its DEC value. Now with the price drop in Hive which transition into DEC it made for more DEC needed to get the same cards today than prior.

This has translated to more cards being bought in the after market than prior months. It is noticeable just this past couple of days relative to Peakmonster's stats.

Could this be a sign that cards is increasing in value overall relative to its downtrend? I am hopeful that is the case.

Speaking of potential increase in demand for cards is also the potential decrease on Conclave packs down the road. The proposal of burning CA packs own by the DAO is currently having over 90% approval rating. I am for it as it will reduce overall amount of cards ever to be printed. While it will also increase demand for the remaining packs as the lure of increasing odds for jackpot cards becomes more attractive by the day.

Fascinating stat via https://elmo-burns.com/packstats of current Conclave packs remaining for sale. There is a ton of packs already removed from circulation but including the ones in DAO will only make the set ever more scarce.
Interesting to see also that if Conclave cards where all in print currently the burn rate is valued at over 6 billion DEC. This is slightly under the current DEC in circulation at present time.

In terms of value in Conclave it is still in excess but as time rolls forward and more packs get burned the overall DEC added to the total will decrease. Each season the burned DEC continues to make the overall amount in circulation on a downward trend. In the end I think this is all positive as less DEC will increase it's value while decrease in printed cards makes the cards' value rise.
Until next time thanks for reading!!!

I think the new land additions are a reason for it. You need Cinder from burning cards with DEC value. So in a way, its taking cards off the market for you.
