Splinterlands | TASHOSHI DRAKOMOTO - the upcoming Voucher Card

Hello Splinterlands fam!

Just recently, I said in my previous post, I said how Splinterlands has mastered the art to keep us hooked in the game with frequent updates and by introducing new cards and other things in the game, and proving me once more, they have just thrown another nuke! Yes, I am talking about the Tasoshi Drakamoto, the upcoming card in the voucher shop. So it's time to get ready and be prepared, my fellow Splinterlands fans, because this electrifying new card is about to get introduced in the land of Splinters pretty soon. Tasoshi Drakamoto, a shadowy ninja assassin from the volcanic realms of Gloridax, is stepping into Praetoria on June 17th. So, no matter if you are a seasoned warrior or a collector, in this post, I will be discussing everything you need to know to claim, craft, and participate in the auction to get your hands on one of the fiercest Epics ever released in the game. So, if you are interested and want to know more about this ninja warrior, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

Who is Tasoshi Drakamoto

Just think of this upcoming monster card as a ruthless and sneaky ninja - silent, precise and capable of turning the tables towards you in battles with a single strike. Her unique combo of sneak attacks, buffs, stuns, and guaranteed counterattacks makes her an absolute killer with no limits. Tashoshi Drakomoto, as expected, will come in all 3 types of foil editions, each rarer than the last, so pick your choice of foil and start preparing for the upcoming sale, before it's too late!

Card Stats & Skills

Tashoshi Drakomoto will require a large mana cost of 8 to be used in battles. Even at level 1, this card holds powerful stats of 5 health and 2 armour at 3 Speed with 2 magic attack along with the Sneak ability. For those who get a max level of this card, it will show off with a deadly stats of 3 magic attack at 4 speed with 6 health and 2 armour along with a whopping 4 abilities as stated below.

Abilities

Sneak – One of my favourite abilities, Sneak always targets the enemy monster in the last position, so it is perfect for killing down backline attackers quickly.

Inspire – this ability gives +1 Melee to every ally unit, turning all the melee attacking monsters in your lineup more dangerous.

Stun – This ability provides a 50% chance to be applied whenever you hit an enemy monster, causing the enemy attacker to skip its next turn if applied.

Spite – When this monster dies on the battlefield, it will guarantee performs a counterattack.

Voucher Sale

The official sale for this card will begin on June 17th and will continue until September 14th, providing a total 90-day sale window.

Foil Editions

First of all, all voucher purchases will guarantee a Regular Foil Tasoshi Drakamoto, so every card that you claim will at least be the standard foil. But, if you are chasing the rarer and shinier foils, I mean Gold Foil, Black Foils or Arcanes, here’s the details.

Gold Foil

Gold Foil cards have a 2% chance per card pull and you can increase the chance to 4% by using the Alchemy potions. But please note that for every card, 8 alchemy potions will be required. In addition to that, if you can buy a bundle of minimum fifty cards in one transaction, you are guaranteed to receive a Gold Foil. Now, combining it with using Alchemy potions that reduce your drop rate to 1 in every 25 cards.

Black Foil

Now, for Black Foils, the chances of receiving one are even rarer, at just one card for every 4,000 drop rate. Now, if you can spend money on midnight potions, you can use eight Midnight Potions for each card to improve your odds to 1 black foil in every 2,000 cards. However, unlike gold foils, there will be no bundle or guarantee that applies in case of black foil cards.

Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw

Now coming into the Big Boy’s playground, the sale for Gold Foil Arcane is starting August 12th at 10 AM ET at 2 PM UTC. It will be distributed via daily Fortune Draws as follows…

• Only 10 Gold Arcane Tasoshi cards will be up for sale - one per day over ten days.

• Each draw will last for 24 hours, followed by a 1‑hour break before the next.

Crafting Cost per Fortune Ticket

• 200 Aura

• 10 Vouchers

• 200 DEC (half of the total DEC generated will go to the DAO)

How it works

• Burn 10 Fortune Tickets for one draw, and you will get a guaranteed Regular Foil.

• Each draw also carries a shot at that day’s allocated Gold Arcane Tasoshi.

• Tickets will be fully tradable before you spend them, so you can also choose to flip them on the market if you later change your mind.

Black Foil Arcane Auction

For those who are about to chase the rarest of the rare, be sure to mark August 26th on your calendar.

• Only 5 Black Arcane Tasoshi will ever exist.

• One auction per day, each lasting for 25 hours.

Crafting Cost per Auction Mark

• 1,000 Aura

• 50 Vouchers

• 500 DEC (again, 50% goes straight to the DAO)

These Auction Marks will be your bidding tokens for the rarest foil cards.

• Fully tradable until you place a bid.

• Refunded automatically if you are outbid, so no risk of losing craft materials.

Strategy

With only 15 premium Arcane Foils (10 Gold and 5 Black), every voucher, potion and ticket will matter. So you better ask yourself if you can spread your tickets over ten days to maximize your Gold Arcane chances, or will you go all‑in on auction marks for those ultra‑rare Black Arcane foils?

Last but not least, the upcoming voucher card, Tasoshi Drakamoto, is not just another Epic card that one can simply ignore - she is a deadly and sneaky magic attacker with a total of 4 abilities that can change the game.
