Life is the darkness of sorrow, and happiness is its light.
How are you all, friends? I hope that wherever you are, you are well. And I pray and wish that you are always well and healthy. What can we really say about this little life of ours? Sometimes when I sit alone and think, it seems like life is a strange playground where we are all playing as we please. Just as there is the deep darkness of sorrow here, there is also the bright light of happiness. Today I have come to share those thoughts with you.
I think that we often think of life as a straight line, where everything will run smoothly. But in reality, it is not. Life is actually a crooked path, where sometimes the ground is soft, sometimes the road is rocky. And this is the path we walk, accompanied by sorrow and happiness.
When sorrow comes in life, everything seems dark. It seems that this is the end! A small shock, a bad news, or the passing of a loved one – all of these things push our minds into a deep abyss of sorrow. At that time, it seems that we will never see the light again. Tears, inner emptiness – all together an unbearable pain.
But you know what's funny? If it weren't for this darkness of sorrow, we might not have understood the value of light. Suppose, you are walking around one night, it is pitch black all around. Suddenly, a firefly lights up, or a small lamp lights up in the distance. Then how precious that little light seems to you! Sorrows are just like that. When the heart is twisted, a small smile, a kind word, or a little sympathy from someone – that seems to be a huge happiness to us. This darkness seems to increase the intensity of the light of happiness.
And happiness? Happiness is a fleeting flash of life! A small success, a moment of laughter with a loved one, a new experience – these are happiness. Moments of happiness come and go like a flash of light. We enjoy that light, fill our hearts, and then maybe walk towards a new darkness again.
But even this momentary light gives us the motivation to live. It seems that this little happiness is worth all the fighting, all the running! When happiness comes after sadness, its value is understood even more. You have worked hard for an exam, you have stayed up all night, you have suffered. If the result is bad, it is sad, but when the result is good, then the feeling of happiness is different! Because, that happiness has come through the path of suffering.
It seems to me that life is actually an endless game of sadness and happiness. Both of these seem to maintain the balance of life. If there was only happiness, then maybe happiness would have no value. We might not be able to recognize happiness. And if there were only sadness, then life itself would be meaningless, there would be no desire to live.
This life that sometimes makes us laugh, sometimes makes us cry – this is the diversity of life! We are complete human beings in both of these. Sadness makes us experienced, strong, and makes us empathetic towards other people. And happiness gives us the strength to move forward, teaches us to dream.
I think that life should be accepted in all its forms. Just as we should not be afraid of the darkness of sadness and learn from it, we should also enjoy the light of happiness with our hearts. This play of darkness and light is what has made our life so beautiful, so meaningful. So let us, in this strange playground called life, welcome sadness with a smile, and paint ourselves with the light of happiness. Because, life is only one, and every moment of it is precious.
I hope you like these thoughts of mine too. Thank you all.
