Maneras de invertir para el crecimiento de tu emprendimiento / Ways to Invest in the Growth of Your Startup

When we talk about investment, the first thing that comes to mind is: money! However, there are other ways to invest that don’t directly involve the use of currency, but rather other resources that are also important.
One element that’s very useful for any business venture is understanding its potential scope, studying the market, and analyzing the competition. Investing time in understanding your environment will shed light on untapped niches within your industry or innovations you can leverage to fuel your business growth.

Time—something many people don’t assign a monetary value to—is one of the best ways to invest, since it’s always available, provided you streamline your activities and free it up for other purposes. By making better use of your time, you’ll be able to invest it in growing your business.
Case Studies
About 15 years ago or more, an acquaintance decided to open a children’s party venue in the city center, which was a novelty at the time—while generic party venues existed, she built a huge indoor playground with various attractions for children ranging from toddlers to 12-year-olds.
Parents no longer had to rent inflatable bouncers or other items separately to entertain the children during any children’s celebration, since everything was set up in a single space and within a budget they could manage for food and any entertainers they requested.
After the boom, many others copied the idea, creating competition for the young woman, who decided that in addition to being a party venue, it could also serve as a park open to the public for a simple entrance fee, since there wouldn’t always be birthdays to celebrate.

So on days when it wasn’t booked, kids could come in for an hour or more, with different rates for different groups. All you had to do was check availability on the venue’s Instagram to be on the safe side.
But she didn’t stop there. In the area where the table with the cake and other treats was set up, she installed a large counter that was used to provide homework help for some children in the mornings, with the understanding that once the lesson was over, they could use the adjoining area to play until their parents arrived.
Ultimately, he managed to fill every time slot in the same venue, so the rent for the space was covered before the month was even over, generating profits above expectations.
Similarly, today, a similar venue located near my home in Buenos Aires only offered services for parties, hosting events mainly on weekends and occasionally on weekdays. Over time, it ended up closing because it failed to diversify its scheduling to make the most of the space.
Another way to grow your business—without having to invest large sums of money—is to educate yourself. Whether it’s learning new work methodologies or, as major investors do, studying the market to identify gaps you can capitalize on, or even figuring out how to do certain things yourself without having to hire third parties.

In this case, using tutorials or audiobooks available online is one option, as is visiting competitors to analyze their business model, product presentation, and even their post-sale customer service.
Learning from your own mistakes and those of others is also an investment that can help you reverse or nullify certain decisions that might ultimately hinder your exponential growth.
So when you think about investments for your startup, expand your thinking beyond the simple idea of taking out loans or spending money, because in many cases, the investment is more about strategic acumen than financial capital.

Well done on your daily Ecency leaderboard quest, @mamaemigrante! Valuable perspective on how investing extends far beyond just monetary capital.
Tipped with Ecency POINTS.
Very insightful observations. My own experience in Venezuela in 2014, when I opted for entrepreneurship and crafts, showed that we didn't have easy access to foreign currency despite the dollarization of prices. So we worked from home with the help of the whole family, and we reinvested as much of our income as possible in raw materials and supplies, as well as non-perishable food in considerable quantities to last us a long time. We recycled plastic, glass, and cardboard containers. We bought birdseed by the sack even though we only had three hens and a rooster. When sales allowed, we bought household appliances that we later sold or put back into operation when the old ones broke down.
I remember advising those who worked with their cars to invest in tires, motor oil, and similar items that they could sell at market price if needed, thus escaping the constant inflation and devaluation.
Of course, implementing these strategies requires space, but even in a small apartment, you can store something of value to trade or work with. Adding value to it.
Here and now, the strategy will have to be different, but there are always alternatives, and the best thing is to accumulate all the habits or activities that generate income or benefits, which sometimes aren't monetary.
Good luck to all hardworking entrepreneurs.
