Llevando tapitas al contenedor del Eco Lomas / Taking bottle caps to the Eco Lomas container

Desde hace muchos años, me he unido a la causa de minimizar el impacto del plástico en la naturaleza, a través de la recolección de las tapitas que son usadas para diversas causas benéficas.

Así que al encontrar un contenedor cercano a casa, cada vez que logro reunir una buena cantidad las llevo directamente al depósito a donde serán retiradas por las organizaciones responsables.

Estos enormes contenedores en forma de corazones verdes, han ido proliferando en las plazas de la ciudad, y aunque casi siempre se ven con pocas tapas, yo confío en que esos pocos logran hacer mucho, quizás no a nivel económico, pero si en lo que respecta a minimizar la contaminación del planeta.

Y es que muchos me ven como si estuviera loca cada vez que voy con mi bolsita de tapas, pero prefiero eso a hacerme la ciega en cuanto a un problema que es mucho mayor, pero al que directamente no puedo erradicar yo sola.

Aprovechando que ese día el sol no estaba tan inclemente, esperé una hora razonable para salir con mi hijo hasta la plaza más cercana, y así depositar las tapas que tenía reunidas en casa.

Al finalizar pareciera que no subió mucho el nivel, pero para mi fue suficiente no solo el hecho de llevarlas, sino también con el sembrar en la conciencia de mi hijo, el compromiso de cuidar su entorno.

Ese día terminamos pasando un lindo rato en la plaza, disfrutando del aire libre y de esa sensación del deber cumplido, sobre todo cuando mi niño ve que los demás pudiendo hacer las cosas bien, deciden irse por el camino menos adecuado.

Por lo pronto, seguiremos reuniendo tapitas y buscando maneras de minimizar el impacto en el medio ambiente, además de educar a mi hijo y también a quienes nos miran raro, pues con el ejemplo se pueden siempre lograr cambios a favor.

For many years, I have been committed to minimizing the impact of plastic on nature by collecting bottle caps, which are used for various charitable causes.

So, whenever I find a container near my home and have collected a good amount, I take them directly to the depot where they will be picked up by the responsible organizations.

These huge green heart-shaped containers have been popping up all over the city's squares, and although they almost always have very few caps in them, I trust that those few caps can make a big difference, perhaps not economically, but in terms of minimizing pollution on the planet.

Many people look at me as if I were crazy every time I go with my bag of caps, but I prefer that to turning a blind eye to a problem that is much bigger, but one that I cannot eradicate on my own.

Taking advantage of the fact that the sun wasn't so harsh that day, I waited a reasonable amount of time before going out with my son to the nearest square to deposit the lids I had collected at home.

When we finished, it didn't seem like the level had risen much, but for me it was enough not only to take them there, but also to plant in my son's consciousness the commitment to take care of his environment.

That day we ended up having a nice time in the square, enjoying the outdoors and that feeling of a job well done, especially when my son sees that others, who are capable of doing things right, decide to take the less appropriate path.

For now, we will continue to collect bottle caps and look for ways to minimize our impact on the environment, as well as educate my son and those who look at us strangely, because by setting an example, we can always bring about positive change.
