Llevo algunos años trabajando en un supermercado chino, en el cual, sorpresivamente, no se podían conseguir productos oriundos de China. A veces algunos fideos de arroz que traen por encargo se pueden ver en los anaqueles, pero eran muy recelosos con la mercancía que traían para su consumo personal.

Sin embargo, dado el éxito de otros supermercados que pertenecen a sus familiares, quienes dieron el paso y empezaron a ofrecer dulces y sopas chinas, también llegó parte de esa mercadería a mi lugar de trabajo.

Hasta ahora, las sopas han sido las favoritas de los clientes, sobre todo porque las bajas temperaturas incitan a tomar sopas para mantenerse en calor, además de la curiosidad propia de los productos novedosos que se vem junto con los ya conocidos.

Pero no solo se trata de comida, también llegaron unos curiosos lapiceros con personajes al estilo Hello Kitty, por los que lloran los niños que llegan a las cajas con sus padres, pues es ahí donde los tienen de exhibición.

Todos estos productos chinos llegaron luego de mucho tiempo, pero ahora en “el chino” se pueden conseguir los productos del diario, pero también algunas cosas chinas.

I have been working for a few years in a Chinese supermarket, where, surprisingly, you could not get any products from China. Sometimes some rice noodles brought in by order could be seen on the shelves, but they were very suspicious of the merchandise they brought in for their personal consumption.

However, given the success of other supermarkets owned by their relatives, who took the plunge and started offering Chinese sweets and soups, some of that merchandise also arrived at my workplace.

So far, soups have been the favorite of customers, especially because the low temperatures encourage them to drink soups to keep warm, in addition to the curiosity of the new products that are seen along with the already known.

But it is not only about food, there are also some curious pencils with Hello Kitty style characters, for which the children who come to the boxes with their parents cry, because that is where they have them on display.

All these Chinese products arrived after a long time, but now in “el chino” you can get the daily products, but also some Chinese things.
