Mi gatita Aramis está próxima a cumplir dos años, pero ella se siente todavía como si fuera una bebé. A veces es complicado seguirle el ritmo a todas las travesuras que quiere hacer, además que se fastidia muy rápido de los juguetes que tiene. Por eso, he decidido dejarla salir en las mañanas, y ella disfruta de irse a explorar en el patio común del conjunto, y a veces sube a los techos de casas vecinas. Por suerte, no hay peligros que puedan dañarla y no se aventura a irse tan lejos.

Para ella eso es libertad, y para mi... tranquilidad, pues cuando vuelve a casa en un par de horas, solo come y se echa a dormir. Lo hace tan profundo, que es la única manera que puedo fotografiarla sin que se despierte y se vaya.

La imagino como cuando mis hijos eran pequeños y los llevaba al parque, quedaban tan exhaustos que a duras penas comían luego del baño, para irse a dormir hasta el día siguiente, aunque ella se recarga rápidamente, pues en las tardes quiere volver a hacer lo mismo, pero ahí si no tiene permiso de salida, pues me temo que luego con la oscuridad no vuelva antes de que nosotros nos acostemos a dormir.

En los humanos, al llegar los dos años se habla de los "terribles dos", en el caso de los gatos ¿será igual o ya empezará a ser de esos que duermen casi todo el día? Pues esta gatita es un torbellino imparable por las mañanas.

My kitty Aramis is about to turn two years old, but she still feels like a baby. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with all the mischief she wants to do, plus she gets annoyed very quickly with the toys she has. So, I've decided to let her out in the mornings, and she enjoys going exploring in the common yard of the complex, and sometimes she climbs on the roofs of neighboring houses. Luckily, there are no dangers that could harm her and she doesn't venture out that far.

For her, that's freedom, and for me... peace of mind, because when she comes home in a couple of hours, she just eats and goes to sleep. She does it so deeply, it's the only way I can photograph her without her waking up and leaving.

I imagine her as when my children were small and I took them to the park, they were so exhausted that they hardly ate after the bath, to go to sleep until the next day, although she recharges quickly, because in the evenings she wants to do the same thing again, but there if she is not allowed to leave, because I am afraid that with the darkness she will not return before we go to sleep.

In humans, when they reach the age of two we talk about the “terrible twos”, in the case of cats, will it be the same or will she start to be one of those who sleep almost all day? Well, this kitty is an unstoppable whirlwind in the mornings.
