Potato Porridge Recipe π₯
Making a meal for the family has become more exciting. Often my mom gives me a chance to cook meals for everyone and I'm so happy that I've learnt a lot by practicing!
Well I decided to make this particular dish, we call it Potato porridge here. It's just potatoes cooked in different ingredients and served.
I'll let you know how I made it! First let's look at the ingredients!
Ingredients
Since I was making for everyone the potatoes had to be enough for them, so I picked 10 medium sized potatoes. Let me detail the ingredients below:
- 8 medium sized Potatoes
- 1 Medium sized onion
- 2 cooking spoonful of crayfish
- 1 cooking spoon of dried pepper
- 1 seasoning cube
- 1.5 Cooking spoon of palm oil
- 1 bunch of pumpkin leaves
- 3 pieces of dry fish
- 1 medium sized ginger
- Salt to taste
And that was like all the ingredients I used. Let's look at the procedure:
Procedure
I had to get ready all the ingredients so I first:
- Chopped the potatoes
- Cut the onions
- Cut the vegetables
- Peel and grind the ginger
- Grind the crayfish and the fish

- First thing I did was to boil the potatoes till it's a bit soft. Then I sieve the water and leave the one enough to cover the potatoes a bit
I start adding the ingredients inside the boiled potatoes. First was ginger and dry ground pepper, plus the seasoning cube
Next I added the grinded crayfish and the grinded fish. Then the palm oil was next!

- I had to stir it properly and slow it to boil and properly mix
When the mixture thickened a bit, it was time to add the leave with the onions. Cover the post for a minute and then stir !
And after that, I got a nice porridge with a good taste, I won't call it perfect though but it made sense hehe!
And that's it! My potato porridge recipe, tried and tested by my family (the best critics ever!). It was a delight to share this cooking experience with you all. If you're feeling adventurous, give this recipe a try and let me know how it turns out. Don't forget to tag me in your creations! I know I haven't shared this recipe in the best way, but please manage and take my effort as it it, I'll keep improving! π
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you in the next post!

Hi @madilyn02
Interesting recipe. Look, we invite you to read our community rules. There you can read the following: Every user new to Hive, or new to Foodies Bee Hive, must include a minimum of three photos showing their face (of the total number of photos in each post), making their recipes., thus, it is essential that you appear in the photos making your recipes, that we see your face.
We hope you take our observations into account in your future posts in this community.
That is very kind of you, to call attention to the rules rather than simply muting the post immediately as many communities do. Kudos! π
