In our multiple previous posts, we have talked about disadvantages of AI technology, now it is deepfake which is also the disadvantage of artificial intelligence because people are misusing it. This is dangerous because we have seen multiple deep fake viral videos in the last few months. Politicians and celebrities were the victims of these videos. Elon Musk is also a founder of xAI which is an artificial intelligence company and he is the founder of Tesla and space-X companies.

The video was promoting crypto scam

Now he is the victim of a deepfake video. In the live stream, he was encouraging a crypto scam. This was a 5 hours long live stream, just like the Tesla event live stream so the people can believe it easily. Elon was seen speaking in the YouTube stream video. this was An AI-generated version of Elon Musk's voice and it was instructed to its viewers to visit a website and the link was there in the description and deposit their cryptocurrencies like BTC, Ether, or meme coin which is Dogecoin to participate in a giveaway.

That YouTube video message, running on a loop, and Elon Musk promised that the system would automatically send back double the amount of these three crypto coins you deposited. So this was a trap for the users and experienced people who knew they were not going to be victims of this trap but new users believed it easily. This deep fake video was made to scam people and to blame Elon Musk for this scam.

Scammers are using the latest technology for fraud

Later the video was removed but this event gave us a lesson that nowadays it is not easy to save yourself from scams and you have to be careful on every step. Scammers use the latest technology to trap you. We should not believe in anything easily. Education is important that is why daily research should be part of your daily routine.

Sadly this streaming video was going on on a verified crypto channel with a badge. And the channel name was Tesla. There are some small things that you can follow to identify these deep fake videos and we will definitely talk about these things soon in any future post. Now it is time to see Elon Musk's reaction to this. I think he is not gonna react to this thing because the scam is now exposed If this had not been exposed then Elon Musk would have had to come forward and give clarification about it.
