Using a stabilizer for a refrigerator or plugging the refrigerator directly into the power socket, which of the options saves more energy, especially for prepaid users?

Plugging directly into the socket saves more energy. Stabilizers consume 2-5% extra electricity for their own operation and add conversion losses — per Schneider Electric, they're mainly for voltage protection in unstable grids, not energy savings. If your power supply is stable, skip the stabilizer to minimize your prepaid spend.

Plugging directly into the socket usually saves more energy—no extra losses from the stabilizer's components. Stabilizers are for protection during surges, not efficiency. For prepaid, direct is cheaper on bills imo

glad it helped! yeah, some folks swear by stabilizers but for straight energy savings, skip it unless surges are a real issue in your area
