Double Delight: A Weekend Of Tech And Tasty Adventures.
Maybe for some time now, I've not had a weekend like this – two events that completely made my day, packed with excitement and great experiences.
Yesterday, October 3, I had the honor of attending the Edtech Indaba 2025 conference, held at Nobik Int'l Events Centre, located at 7Up close, Ogbor Hill, here in my city, Aba.
The Edtech Indaba 2025, themed "Smart Learning For A Smart Future", hosted by Ashpot was an all inclusive Edtech event, featuring talks on the latest trends and innovations in education technology, trainings, meet and greet, and quiz.
Training session
Edtech innovators, IT personnels, school owners, teachers and students from various colleges and basic schools here in my city, including the State Commissioner for Science, Technology and Innovation, David Kalu were all in attendance.
The Commissioner and the Ashpot team
So, as the marketer handling ad campaigns for the firm, duty called and I answered - to cover the event for my company, Magic 102.9 FM.
With a colleague
L-R, the commissioner, myself and the host.
What a great event it was - engaging, informative, and sparked some great conversations and connections too. I got to learn about the latest trends and innovations in education technology - an extra. Lol.
After the event, I went to a nearby supermarket, Dikkies Supermarket, located opposite 7Up Bottling Company, to pick haircare product. There, I noticed that there was a yoghurt tasting spree ongoing. As a yoghurt, I just couldn't resist joining in on the fun! Who doesn't like freebies, most especially, a cup of chilled strawberry flavored yoghurt drink on a warm afternoon. Oh la lacious! 😅
The yoghurt tasting spree was part of the promo campaign for Peak Yoghurt Drink, Strawberry Flavor, a brand product of FrieslandCampina WAMCO NIG Plc, a leading name in diary products.
I got my serving, took the first sip and I felt the chilled creamy goodness dance on my tongue. As it went down my throat, I couldn't help but yearn for more. What a refreshing feeling! 😋
I was totally impressed by the quality of the product and I loved that they were offering free drinks for people to test and give their reviews.
My review went thus;
The drink is spot on - fruity, sweet and tangy, with a refreshing twist plus the creamy texture - perfect.
Apart from enjoying the tasty yoghurt, I also loved the interactive nature of the event. The team was friendly and enthusiastic, and I even became their unofficial promoter, calling out to people to come and try the delicious strawberry yoghurt - marketing skills at work, Lol.
There was enough yoghurt packs to go round, so why not help with getting more people in, and that'll will amount to more reviews - perfect plan. Moreover, yogurt tastes better when shared with friends. Hehehe.
Although I was a bit disappointed that the supermarket was short on the particular haircare product I wanted, the refreshing Peak Yoghurt Drink, Strawberry flavor made up for it. Another win. Hehehe.
Being at these two events was the perfect way to start off the weekend. The Edtech Indaba 2025 event was a great experience, and the yoghurt tasting, the sweet cherry on top. Lol.
This is my response to the Weekend Engagement Week 277

I also really like yogurt. Lately, I almost always have it in the fridge at home because I'm making it myself.
Lovely. Homemade yoghurt tastes better and healthier too. I do make some, once a while.
