THE DEVELOPED MIND

When you come from a rich family, your parents might teach you how you can be confident, sometimes be prideful so that you are above others in order to get what you want. That is what most rich family parents teach their children.

But when you come from a poor family,
most of what they teach you is how to be nice and humble so that you can be able to receive favor from the rich ones and the top ones. Although it is nice, but when it starts growing up it becomes a limitation to you because you don't know how to be confident in yourself, you don't have to stand up for yourself.

You might keep seeing yourself in a position where you are always at the lower rank and you cannot work yourself up because you just want to be humble and nice and be humble always. We live in a world where no one's pretty, no one's pretty, so when you are fortunate and you become nice to someone who is evil, they might chuckle on you and go to the top without minding what you did for them or whatever.

That is why you need a touch of pride and humility. You cannot just depend on one. Priding yourself too much might bring you down. Being humble yourself might even conquer you more. You need to
balance it.

Know when to speak up, know when to be humble and know when to put yourself first. Although there might be consequences of all this, but you should be able to handle the consequences of anything in your life. If you know you cannot handle the consequences of niceness and humility, never engage in it. Never engage in it.

You cannot hold the consequences of pride and arrogance. Never engage in it. So at the end, everyone does, but this is them. At any particular situation. So put yourself first only.

I liked your point about how people from poorer backgrounds are often taught to be “nice and humble,” but can end up struggling to stand up for themselves later on. The idea that we need a balance between humility and a healthy sense of pride came through clearly, especially when you said to know when to speak up and when to put yourself first. Since this is your first Hive post, tools like hivepro.ai could help you shape these ideas even more clearly, and hivestats.io will be handy later when you want to track your growth here. What experiences helped you arrive at this perspective on balancing humility and confidence?
