Getting Comfort Food for Hive-ians before Hive Fest!

Oh I need my BKT Fix!

That was the first response @macchiata replied me when I asked her what she'd love to eat....

And no, it was not the famous Malaysian Nasi Lemak 😅

Good thing that @arcange has no issues with the idea and we had a great cozy get-together before the day #hivefest starts.

Myself, @macchiata , @arcange , @elizacheng and @bitrocker2020

Unfortunately, due to the thunderstorms, there weren't more #teammalaysia family-folks to join us...

It was understandable...

Because right before the meetup, there was a really bad thunderstorm happened around late afternoon, causing many roadblocks due to fallen trees and flash floods...

To make things worse, my crazy WAZE GPS and bad navigation response has caused arcange to wait for us for an hour, just to run in circles and stuck in the jam due to the bad weather and the "touristy location" haha...

I digress!

But the food didn't disappoint us. After 2 hours of traveling, we came to this soupy (herbal soup), spicy (dry stew), deep fried (fritters) and crunchy (bean sprouts) and gooy (chicken feet) delight where we had time to sit back, relax, and had some very deep chats and laughters.

Yes, we had many Opa! distracted conversations - the inside jokes

Eliza cleaning the tea cups with hot water while waiting for the food, and when yummy comes, our guests are gave full concentration to their delightful dishes

Chicken feet is never my foretaste, but you can ask @arcange how he felt about it taking the very first time.

But overall, Bitrocker leaked us the goodness of the soup and how we never could get the taste if we made it at home.

There is a SPECIAL SAUCE!

I didn't know about the measurements though

But I will not disclose it here unless I have consent from the one who shared the secret. haha.

Overall. This is one of the must try comfort food in Malaysia, particularly the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

This is not the best in the Klang Valley though. IF you want to have it from where it all started, you got to travel all the way to Klang, at least 40km away from the city center (depending which direction you are going)

That being said, I love both the food and the company; and I hope they were fueled up nicely just in time for hivefest 2025 😁

Hopefully I will be able to get time to meet them on Saturday, and hopefully they will make it to where I am on Sunday

Until Then

Stay healthy, stay curious and learn new things, and stay happy!

What great company you have there. With great food and great company, traffic jam isn't a problem anymore, yes?

Yes, the Nasi Lemak is considered one of the National food in Malaysia regardless of race and religion, as the ingredients itself comprises 3 main ethnic style of cooking.
