46K Hive Power Surpassed and My Road From Dolphin to Orca!
Today is Nov. 1, 2023, and as every first of the month:
- I like to publish a post in which I check and share my progress on Hive
- I like to participate in the Hive Power Up Day initiative which is a nice recurring initiative of every months first day.
At the beginning of the year 2023 I had set a goal to participate in every Hive Power Up Day of the year and so far I have participated in 10 Hive Power Up Days.
With the Power Up I did today I will also obtain my 11th badge and I will only need the Hive Power Up on December 1, 2023 to make 12 out of 12 and reach this goal.
On Hive there are so many projects and there are so many activities that I like to do and because of that I have so many goals that I would like to achieve but my main goal on Hive is to achieve Orca status.
On Hive at certain amounts of Hive Power (HP) you acquire a status.
The amounts of HP that must be exceeded to acquire a status are dynamic and may change as time passes.
Today November 1, 2023 acquiring Orca status is equivalent to having 57044 HP while on October 1, 2023 56897 HP was required.
If you want to know all the updated information about thresholds in HP related to Hive statuses you can read the post full of useful statistics published by @arcange from which I took the following screenshot.
Every first of the month I do the Power Up of all my liquid HIVEs in my wallet but starting today I also want to set an additional goal: every first of the month I will try to make a minimum Hive Power Up of 100 HP.
Today I had only 29.11 liquid HIVEs in my wallet and to exceed the 100 HP threshold I converted 101 SWAP.HIVEs to HIVEs using the SWAPS feature of Hive Keychain which is really useful and easy to use even for a new user.

Today I did a Hive Power Up of 129.36 HIVE -> 129.36 HP.
With this Power Up I reached an amount of 46850.55 HP.
I am still far from the 57K HP threshold that would allow me to reach my goal but month by month I am making progress and getting closer to my goal.
In order to monitor my progress toward Orca status and to self-motivate myself at each beginning of the month, I have constructed a table in which I mark my monthly Hive Power increases.
October was a good month for me because:
- I increased my Hive Power by +1363.02 HP with a monthly percentage increase of +3.00% and I passed the 46K Hive Power threshold and came very close to the 47K HP threshold.
- I have completed 82.13% of my path to Orca status and am still 10193.44 HP away from reaching this goal.
My positive results in the month of October allowed me to move up a few positions in the ranking of Hive users with the most HP: position 365 -> position 357
I would like to be in the top 300 of Hive users with the most HP but I think it will be several months before I can achieve this goal of mine.
The month of October was a good month for me but it was also good for the value of the HIVE token, which recorded a good increase in value.
In fact on the first day of October 1 HIVE had a value = $0.3019$$.
Today, November 1, 2023 1 HIVE has a value of 0.334$
In a 31-day time interval (Oct. 1, 2023 - Nov. 1, 2023) HIVE increased in value by +10.63% against the dollar.
I am on Hive since March 2019 and have often received questions from new users on how to grow fast on Hive.
The two elements I consider most important to growing on Hive are in order of importance:
- interaction
- consistency in posting
These two elements are strongly interrelated but interaction is in my opinion the most important element.
Why would a Hive user read and comment on one of your posts if you do not read and comment on other authors' posts?
If you are a new Hive user, I recommend that you always put a lot of effort into interaction and try to maintain a comment/posts ratio of at least 10/1.
To monitor and evaluate my level of interaction I like to calculate each month the value of my Posts/Comments ratio.
On October 1, 2023, I had a Comments/Posts ratio = 22582/1463 = 1/15.43
Today November 1, 2023 I have a Ratio Comments/Posts = 23479/1493 = 1/15.72
In the month of October, I wrote 897 comments and increased my Comments/Posts ratio by +0.29 but my goal related to interaction is to exceed a Comments/Posts ratio = 20/1 = 20 comments per published post.
In the ranking of users who have written the most comments I have moved up a good 20 positions because I am in position 304 while on October 1 I was in position 324.
As for my consistency in publishing I would like to be able to publish 1 post a day but I have not reached this goal for many months:
- August 2022: 10 published posts
- September 2022: 16 published posts
- October 2022: 17 published posts
- November 2022: 13 published posts
- December 2022: 15 published posts
- January 2023: 16 published posts
- February 2023: 19 published posts
- March 2023: 22 published posts
- April 2023: 19 published posts
- May 2023: 25 published posts
- June 2023: 16 published posts

In October I published 30 posts in 31 days and did not reach my monthly publication goal, but for the first time in many months I came really close.
I could have achieved this goal if I published a post yesterday, October 31, but I preferred to devote the whole day to my daughter Chiara who turned 10 yesterday, and in the afternoon I took her to the center of my city to trick-or-treat through the stores.

I end this post with my resolutions for the month of November that has just begun.
In the month of November I will try as always to publish one post a day and I will also try to get out of my comfort zone (Hive and Hive games) to publish the second part of my visit to La Mortella gardens in Ischia and to share some nice moments I spent with my family last Sunday at a beautiful and special medieval-themed festival in a town near my city.
This month I would also like to resume writing tutorials and step-by-step guides that cover some of Hive's features and tools and that I hope will be useful especially to new Hive users.
Writing resolutions is one way I use to self-motivate myself but successfully moving from theory to practice will depend on the work commitments I will have in November that may throw off my goals but I hope this will not happen.

Oggi è il primo novembre 2023 e come ogni primo del mese:
- mi piace pubblicare un post in cui controllo e condivido i miei progressi su Hive
- mi piace partecipare all'iniziativa Hive Power Up Day che è una bella iniziativa ricorrente di ogni primo giorno dei mesi.
All'inizio dell'anno 2023 avevo fissato l'obiettivo di partecipare a tutti gli Hive Power Up Day dell'anno e fino ad ora ho partecipato a 10 Hive Power Up Day.
Con il Power Up che ho fatto oggi otterrò anche il mio 11° badge e mi mancherà solo l'Hive Power Up del 1 dicembre 2023 per fare 12 su 12 e raggiungere questo obiettivo.
Su Hive ci sono tanti progetti e sono tante le attività che mi piace fare e per questo motivo ho tanti obiettivi che vorrei raggiungere ma il mio obiettivo principale su Hive è raggiungere lo status di Orca.
Su Hive a determinati quantitativi di Hive Power (HP) si acquisisce uno status.
I quantitativi di HP da superare per acquisire uno status sono dinamici e possono cambiare con il passare del tempo.
Oggi 1 novembre 2023 acquisire lo status di Orca equivale ad avere 57044 HP mentre il 1 ottobre 2023 erano necessari 56897 HP.

Ogni primo del mese faccio il Power Up di tutti i miei HIVE liquidi nel mio wallet ma a partire da oggi voglio anche fissare un ulteriore obiettivo: ogni primo del mese cercherò di fare un Hive Power Up di minimo 100 HP.
Oggi avevo solo 29.11 HIVE liquidi nel mio wallet e per superare la soglio di 100 HP ho convertito 101 SWAP.HIVE in HIVE utilizzando la funzionalità SWAPS di Hive Keychain che è davvero utile e semplice da utilizzare anche per un nuovo utente.

Ho fatto un Hive Power Up di 129.36 HIVE -> 129.36 HP
Con questo Power Up ho raggiunto un quantitativo di 46850.55 HP.
Sono ancora lontano dalla soglia di 57K HP che mi permetterebbe di raggiungere il mio obiettivo ma mese dopo mese faccio dei progressi e mi avvicino al mio obiettivo.
Per monitorare i miei progressi verso lo status di Orca e per automotivarmi ad ogni inizio mese ho costruito una tabella in cui segno ad ogni inizio mese i miei incrementi mensili di Hive Power.
Il mese di ottobre è stato un mese positivo per me perchè:
- ho aumentato il mio Hive Power di +1363.02 HP con un incremento percentuale mensile del +3.00% e ho superato la soglia dei 46K Hive Power e mi sono avvicinato molto alla soglia dei 48K HP.
- ho completato il 82.13% del mio percorso verso lo status di Orca e mi mancano ancora 10193.44 HP per raggiungere questo obiettivo.
I risultati positivi che ho ottenuto nel mese di ottobre mi hanno permesso di salire di qualche posizione nella classifica degli utenti di Hive con il maggior quantitativo di HP: posizione 365 -> posizione 357
Mi piacerebbe entrare nella top 300 degli utenti di Hive con più HP ma penso che ci vorranno diversi mesi prima che possa raggiungere questo mio obiettivo.
Il mese di ottobre è stato un mese positivo per me ma lo è stato anche per il valore del token HIVE che ha registrato un buon incremento di valore.
Infatti il primo giorno di ottobre 1 HIVE aveva un valore = 0.3019$$
Oggi 1 novembre 2023 1 HIVE ha un valore di 0.334$
In un intervallo di tempo di 31 giorni (1 ottobre 2023 - 1 novembre 2023) HIVE ha registrato un aumento di valore del +10.63% rispetto al dollaro.
Sono su Hive dal marzo del 2019 e spesso ho ricevuto delle domande dai nuovi utenti su come crescere velocemente su Hive.
I due elementi che considero più importanti per crescere su Hive sono in ordine di importanza:
- interazione
- consistenza nella pubblicazione
Questi due elementi sono fortemente collegati tra di loro ma l'interazione è secondo me l'elemento più importante.
Perchè un utente di Hive dovrebbe leggere e commentare un tuo post se tu non leggi e commenti i post degli altri autori?
Se sei un nuovo utente di Hive ti consiglio di dare sempre molta importanza all'interazione e di cercare di mantenere un rapporto commenti/posts di almeno 10/1.
Per monitorare e valutare il mio livello di interazione mi piace calcolare ogni mese il valore del mio rapporto Posts/Comments.
Il 1 ottobre 2023 avevo un rapporto Comments/Posts = 22582/1463 = 1/15.43
Oggi 1 novembre 2023 ho un rapporto Comments/Posts = 23479/1493 = 1/15.72

Nel mese di ottobre ho pubblicato 30 post in 31 giorni e non ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo di pubblicazione mensile ma per la prima volta dopo tanti mesi mi sono avvicinato davvero molto.
Potevo raggiungere questo obiettivo se pubblicavo un post ieri 31 ottobre ma ho preferito dedicare tutto il giorno a mia figlia Chiara che ieri ha compiuto 10 anni e nel pomeriggio l'ho accompagnata nel centro della mia città a fare dolcetto o scherzetto per i negozi.

Concludo questo post con i miei propositi per il mese di novembre appena iniziato.
Nel mese di novembre cercherò come sempre di pubblicare un post al giorno e cercherò anche di uscire dalla mia comfort zone (Hive e Hive games) per pubblicare la seconda parte della mia visita ai giardini La Mortella ad Ischia e per condividere alcuni bei momenti che ho trascorso con la mia famiglia domenica scorsa ad una bella e particolare festa a tema medievale in un paese vicino alla mia città.
In questo mese vorrei anche riprendere a scrivere tutorials e guide passo passo che riguardano alcune funzionalità e tools di Hive e che spero possano essere utili soprattutto ai nuovi utenti di Hive.
Scrivere propositi è un modo che utilizzo per automotivarmi ma passare con successo dalla teoria alla pratica dipenderà dagli impegni lavorativi che avrò nel mese di novembre che potrebbero far saltare i miei obiettivi ma spero che questo non accada.

The evolution continues in another month, I started with a PU of 51, but then to finish a mission done at Zealy I completed it to reach a total PU of 100,797 HP.
It's been a while since I used hive so much to perform a power up, I'm happy that my goal of 7k by the end of the year is much closer!
