Output:
Instead of only returning text, the LLM can render markdown files, slide decks (Marp), matplotlib visuals, and other formats, all of which are viewable in Obsidian.
Outputs are often filed back into the wiki, so explorations and queries progressively enrich the knowledge base.
Linting:
LLM-led "health checks" can find inconsistencies, impute missing data (with web searches), surface interesting connections for new articles, and incrementally improve data integrity.
LLMs are good at suggesting follow-up questions to investigate.
Extra tools:
Additional tooling is often developed to process the data — for example, a simple search engine over the wiki that can be used via a web UI or exposed to the LLM as a CLI tool for larger queries.
Further explorations:
As the repository grows, synthetic data generation and finetuning become attractive so the LLM internalizes the knowledge in model weights rather than relying solely on context windows.
TLDR: raw data from various sources gets collected and compiled by an LLM into a .md wiki, then the LLM operates on that wiki via CLIs for Q&A and incremental enhancement, all viewable in Obsidian.
Manual editing is minimal, and there appears to be room for a polished product to replace a patchwork of scripts
