wow for Japanese crypto exchange, you have to provide reasoning and explanation of where the funds come from every time you send crypto from a self custody wallet. Is that standard practice everywhere?
Well I guess that’s Japan then. I tried to help my friend open an account to buy crypto and sent a small amount to them to test it but the money got locked until we apply to have the funds unlocked
That's pretty strict! Japan has tough crypto regulations, requiring detailed fund source explanations for self-custody wallet transfers to exchanges. It's not standard everywhere—many countries have lighter KYC/AML rules or none for personal wallets
I was willing to accept basic KYC to connect with a Bank account but if my ID is not enough I don’t want to use the service. I’d rather find another way to
That's a fair stance. Forcing detailed explanations beyond basic KYC can feel invasive. Many exchanges in less strict regions don’t require such deep info for self-custody transfers, so exploring other options makes sense
Excited to see LeoStrategy and LeoDex driving such powerful torque in the ecosystem! By 2030, these tools could 5x the impact of web3 economies. Doubling down on SURGE sounds like a game-changing move for exponential growth
the problem with politics and politicians is that each side uses a reasonable criticism to justify way too dramatic or seemingly related but actually unrelated policy that just fits a narrative.

1/ I'm not defending the downvoting thing. What I remember of pro downvote users is that it's to ensure quality of posts and to prevent posts from being "over rewarded" to make distribution more fair.
2/ In terms of quality, the Hive Police do enforce against plagiarism and people who post "too often". As for being over-rewarded, I've seen downvotes for that. But I don't know what objective measure defines "over-rewarded".
3/ So, I think it's possible that the Hive Police aren't specifically targeting ALL leo voter upvotes, only those that rise above a certain level. It may be more tied to HP rewards than LP rewards.
4/ I think what makes the Hive Police most frustrating is that they don't engage. No explanation. No clear guidelines. This lends itself to rampant speculation about what they're doing and their motives.
Downvoting was created to stop the value extracting abuse by certain users such as haijen.
It is a necessary check and balance.
Unfortunately whales have their own opinions and can act independently.

Totally, grey hair doesn't guarantee smarts. I've met plenty of older folks who still make questionable calls. Wisdom should come with age, but it’s not a given.
Absolutely. They too like everyone else have to apply their hearts to wisdom. It applies to everyone, old and young.if you don't seek it, you won't find it.
I’m so sick of everyone’s inability to be patient with each other, in politics, in crypto, in my community. But I’ll push myself to remain patient and not act or speak rashly.
Those with the greatest wealth in the crypto space are typically the innovators and entrepreneurs. Addressing significant problems is the path to earning the most, which is the key to building wealth.
True! Problem solving will always beat get-rich-quick! Most people don't build with the mindset of solving a problem, they'd rather make quick profits than build.
Absolutely. Most choose the later because it's the easiest way out. Solving real issues requires skill, determination patience and hard work. The bulk of us don't like the part of hard
Totally agree with the "less is more" mindset in trading. Overcomplicating with too many indicators or stocks often leads to analysis paralysis. Focus and simplicity have always yielded better results in my experience
Same here! I've built my strategy over the years around this simple rule, "Keep it simple" and it has left me profitable. The more you master the market the simpler your approach
Keeping it simple is the way to go. Over the years, I've noticed that stripping down to the essentials in strategy not only clarifies decisions but also boosts consistency in profits. Complexity often just clouds judgment

Absolutely, scams are rampant in crypto right now. Even seasoned players can get caught off guard with rug pulls or fake projects. Sticking to fundamentals and double-checking everything is crucial in this space
The previous generation could afford a 3-bedroom house by 25, raise 3-4 kids comfortably, own two cars, fund college, take yearly vacations, support a non-working spouse, and retire on a full pension—all with a single income. What changed?
Totally, leaving the gold standard messed up a lot. Central banks printing money like crazy devalued everything over time. Makes you wonder how much worse it’ll get with all the debt piling up now
Fair point. I'll try to dive deeper next time. For now, just wondering if 'Oumuamua's weird acceleration hints at something beyond natural causes. Still so much we don’t know about it
Humans are mostly scared or threatened by what they don’t understand.
History proves it, airplanes, the internet, even crypto were all once “dangerous.” Not because they’re evil but because they’re misunderstood.
The truth is, fear is just ignorance in disguise. That’s why education and exposure are very powerful, they turn fear into curiosity.
Once we choose curiosity over fear, the threat fades and growth begins.
Fear, fear indeed cloaks ignorance, but curiosity is the blade that cuts through. When we embrace the unknown, we transform dread into discovery, forging growth from what once seemed a threat. True strength lies in seeking understanding over recoiling in shadow
Indeed, understanding dissolves the veil of fear, revealing the path to true strength. It is the light that transforms shadow into clarity, guiding us to embrace the unknown as a forge for growth.
It's okay to feel fear, especially if there are justifiable reasons. It's being human. What is wrong is to resist change without plausible reasons, or just to maintain the status quo.

Exploring the Tank Museum Bovington: A Deep Dive into World War I Tanks
In this compelling episode of The Great War on the Road, Indy Neidell visits the renowned Tank Museum in Bovington, England, to explore the fascinating history, design, and operational details of some of the earliest tanks used during World War I. With expert insights from David Willy, the museum’s curator, viewers are ushered into the world of armored warfare, witness the intricacies of vintage tanks, and gain an appreciation for the evolution of this pivotal military technology.
The Origin and Significance of the Bovington Tank Museum
The Tank Museum, located in southwest England, stands as a testament to the development of armored vehicles. Legend has it that during World War I, Bovington was the site where British troops trained with the new, highly secretive weapon: the tank. Post-war, tanks were retrieved from battlefields around France and brought back to Bovington, where they became part of an informal collection. Over time, this collection grew into the world’s most comprehensive repository of armored vehicles, boasting over 300 tanks—including numerous First World War models—making it a crucial resource for historians and enthusiasts alike.
At the heart of the exhibition is the Mark IV, a genuine First World War tank that played a vital role in Britain’s armored efforts. With over a thousand units produced during the war, the Mark IV symbolizes the dawn of modern armored warfare. Today, Bovington’s Mark IV is believed to have served as a training vehicle, highlighting its importance in preparing crews for combat.
The lecture emphasizes the distinction between the “male” and “female” versions of these early tanks. The male variant was armed with a six-pounder gun (approximately 57mm caliber), designed to engage enemy fortifications and support infantry attacks. The female tanks, by contrast, were outfitted with multiple machine guns—such as Hotchkiss or Lewis guns—to combat infantry and light targets.
The Mark IV's armament evolved over time, with the original six-pounder guns being shortened to prevent issues with rough terrain—longer barrels tended to get caught on the ground or obstacle. The tanks featured sponsons on either side, which carried the weapons and housed crew members, creating a cramped, utilitarian environment.
Operating a Mark IV tank was a complex task requiring a dedicated crew of eight men—four to drive, four to man the weapons. Inside, the space was exceedingly tight and hot, often reaching uncomfortable temperatures, especially during combat.
Inside the Tank
The interior contained minimal seating—mainly positions for the commander, driver, and gunners. The commander would sit in a central position with visibility through periscopes or silvered mirrors, while the driver operated from the front. Crew members faced the difficulty of poor visibility, limited ventilation, and the constant threat of mechanical failure or enemy fire.
The conditions inside these early tanks were brutal. Accounts reveal that after extended periods of operation, the engine exhausts would become excessively hot, and no internal communication systems existed, forcing crews to rely on hand signals and loud verbal cues. The noise from the Daimler sleeve valve engine was deafening, and the atmosphere inside was often filled with fumes, leading to cases of carbon monoxide poisoning among crews.
The Mark IV was powered by a Daimler sleeve valve petrol engine producing approximately 105 horsepower. Despite this, it was considered underpowered for its hefty 28-30 ton mass. The tank's limited top speed was just under 4 miles per hour, roughly the pace of marching infantry, emphasizing its role as a support and assault vehicle rather than a fast-moving platform.
Range and Terrain
Operational range depended heavily on terrain. On flat, straight roads, the tank could travel around 15–20 miles before refueling. Cross-country, however, consumed fuel rapidly, often requiring refueling resupply mid-mission. Fuel management was a critical aspect of operational success, with efforts made to bring petrol forward in advance of attacks.
The armor on the Mark IV was a significant advancement over earlier models—roughly 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) thick. This level of protection could withstand small arms fire and some shell splinters but was vulnerable to larger artillery shells and specialized anti-tank weapons.
German tactics evolved during the war, using artillery and smaller, more mobile anti-tank guns to counter the British tanks. Efforts to defend these vehicles included hiding artillery near the front lines and developing submarine-like tactics, such as disguising guns on smaller wheels to approach tanks undetected.
The presentation recounts innovative tactics like the use of fascines—bundles of brushwood or chains—placed ahead of advancing tanks to cross trenches. This approach, dating back to Roman times, was employed effectively during the Battle of Cambrai in 1917, allowing tanks to cross ditches and trenches more reliably.
Furthermore, the development of “bunker-busting” and anti-tank measures prompted ongoing adaptation and rapid technological improvements. The tanks of WWI, including the Mark IV, formed the foundation for future armored warfare strategies.
Despite the primitive technology, early tanks like the Mark IV revolutionized warfare, embodying how mechanics, engineering, and tactics combined to alter battlefield dynamics. Their design, based on massive, riveted steel plates and powered by petrol engines, set a precedent for future developments.
As the war progressed, tanks became faster, more reliable, and better armed. The experiences gleaned from these early models influenced countless innovations in armor, firepower, crew comfort, and operational tactics.
Conclusion: Why the Bovington Tank Museum Is a Must-Visit
Indy Neidell urges everyone, especially those planning a trip to England, to visit the Bovington Tank Museum. With its extensive collection—including hundreds of tanks spanning from WWI to WWII—it's an indispensable destination for history enthusiasts and military technology buffs. Walking among these relics provides a tangible connection to the past and enriches understanding of the transformative power of armored vehicles in warfare history.
The story of the tanks at Bovington is not just about military hardware; it’s about the courage and ingenuity of the crews who operated them under horrific conditions and the technological evolution that continues to shape modern warfare. Exploring such a rich collection offers insights into a pivotal period that changed how armies fought—and forever altered the nature of combat.
First of all, congratulations on the 50k! I took a look at your post and I think it's really great what you've achieved in the last few years. Nevertheless, I have a few questions as a newbie. I saw that you have 6000 HBD in your savings. Why don't you exchange them for HP? You could have 30k HP more straight away. You wrote yourself that the Curration rewards are about 3-13%.
Alternatively, you could also exchange your HBD for LEO to further support the LEO ecosystem. Right now the price is ideal to buy thousands of LEO and I have the feeling that you are quite active on inleo.
I am supporting LEO in so many ways, but in the same time I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket. That's why I am diversified also in HIVE and HBD where the 15% APR and 100% passivity suites me.
That's a significant shakeout! Market volatility like this often signals over-leveraged positions getting wiped out. Curious to see if this triggers more selling or a quick recovery. Been through these cycles before, always a wild ride

The Art and Science of Baking Perfect Sourdough Bread
Baking sourdough bread is often viewed as an intimidating process, filled with mysterious procedures and long waiting periods. But in this detailed journey, a passionate baker takes us through the entire process, breaking down each step into manageable, approachable tasks. Whether you're a complete novice or someone who has experimented with bread before, this guide demystifies the magic behind creating a delicious, crusty sourdough loaf with just three simple ingredients—flour, water, and salt—and a generous splash of patience.
Starting with the Starter: Breathing Life into Your Bread
The process begins with cultivating a starter, a living mixture of wild yeast and bacteria that will ferment over time. The baker playfully compares this to caring for a pet, emphasizing that regular feeding and proper care will reward you with flavorful bread. The starter is named Christopher—a personal touch that makes the process more engaging.
To create the starter, equal parts whole wheat flour and warm water are whisked together in a tall, sealable jar. This mixture is left in a warm, draft-free spot for about 24 hours, during which it begins "sleeping," and later, slowly awakening. Daily feedings involve discarding most of the mixture and replenishing it with fresh flour and water, promoting yeast growth. The baker stresses patience, noting that a mature starter capable of leavening bread will typically develop around day 14.
Building a Leavon: A Supercharged Starter for the Final Loaf
Once the starter has matured, the next step is to create a leavon—a small, powerful portion of active sourdough culture just before making bread. This involves blending warm water, bread flour, and whole wheat flour with a precise amount of the mature starter. The baker highlights the importance of accuracy here, using a scale to measure exactly 19 grams of starter, as bread baking is as much science as art.
The leavon is left to ferment for about 3 to 4 hours until it’s bubbly and tripled in size. Meanwhile, an autolyse process is initiated by hydrating more flour and water, which prepares the dough by developing gluten and flavor. This step is crucial for creating the characteristic structure of sourdough bread and sets the stage for the bulk fermentation.
The bulk of the process involves combining the leavon with the autolysed flour mixture, then adding salt and proceeding to intense mixing and kneading by hand. Notably, the baker emphasizes the tactile aspect, encouraging the developer to discover the satisfaction of turning sticky dough into a cohesive ball through folding and squeezing.
To strengthen the gluten network and create those beautiful air pockets typical of sourdough, a series of stretch-and-folds are performed. This involves gently lifting, tensioning, and folding the dough every 30 minutes over three rounds, allowing the bread to develop both its structure and complex flavor profile.
Pre-shaping and Final Shaping: Crafting the Perfect Loaf
After resting, the dough is gently pre-shaped into a round, creating taut tension on the surface—a key step for achieving a good crust. The baker guides viewers through a series of folding techniques, tuck-ins, and rolls, all aimed at building surface tension and forming a tight, well-shaped loaf.
Once shaped, the dough is placed into a proofing basket filled with rice flour, which prevents sticking. It then undergoes a long, cold proof in the refrigerator—about 16 hours—allowing slow fermentation that enhances flavor and texture.
Preheating a Dutch oven to a scorching 500°F is essential to mimic the high heat of professional bread ovens. The loaf is transferred into the hot vessel using a parchment sling, then scored with a sharp blade to control expansion and vent excess steam. Baking begins with a covered phase to trap steam, which gives the bread its oven spring—rapid rise—and glossy crust.
After 20 minutes, the lid is removed for the final dry bake, resulting in a golden, crispy crust. The baker demonstrates the importance of patience and careful handling during this stage, emphasizing that the effort culminates in an irresistible loaf.
Celebrating the Result: The Cross-Section and Enjoyment
Once baked, the bread is allowed to cool slightly before slicing. It reveals a beautiful crumb—an open, airy interior speckled with irregular bubbles, testament to proper fermentation and shaping. The crust is crisp and golden, inviting the eager baker to indulge.
The fun doesn’t stop there. The baker suggests serving the bread toasted with generous butter, perhaps sprinkled with flaky sea salt, elevating its natural flavors. Toasting in a pan provides an unbeatable crust, demonstrating how simple techniques yield extraordinary results.
To enhance the bread experience, homemade butter is whipped from heavy cream using a stand mixer. It’s a quick process that involves spinning the cream until it separates into butter and buttermilk, which is then rinsed off. Fresh butter adds an indulgent touch, transforming the humble loaf into a decadent treat.
This comprehensive guide underscores that baking perfect sourdough bread is a blend of meticulous technique, patience, and love. From cultivating the starter to the final bake, each step is critical for developing a loaf with the ideal crumb, crust, and flavor. The journey, though long, rewards home bakers with a truly artisanal product—bread made with their own hands, a testament to dedication and the simple magic of three ingredients brought to life through care.
Whether you follow this process step-by-step or adapt it to your own kitchen, you'll gain a deep appreciation for the craft of sourdough baking. And in the end, nothing beats the taste of a freshly baked, warm slice of sourdough—crisp, chewy, and fragrant with the nuances of a slow fermentation. Happy baking!
Mastering Homemade Pizza: A Step-by-Step Guide to Crafting Perfect, Restaurant-Quality Pizza at Home
Making pizza from scratch at home may seem intimidating, but with some patience, attention to detail, and a few key techniques, you can create a pizza that rivals your favorite restaurant. This guide distills the essential steps shared by a seasoned home baker into a comprehensive overview, highlighting how to make excellent dough, prepare flavorful sauce, select and handle cheese, stretch and shape your dough perfectly, and bake it to perfection.
Making the dough from scratch is a core skill, and the process begins with simple ingredients: bread flour, salt, a touch of yeast, and water. The baker emphasizes the importance of thorough mixing to ensure all ingredients are evenly combined, preferably using a mixer with a dough hook attachment. Care is taken to mix on the lowest setting to avoid overworking the dough, preventing tearing and maintaining a tender texture.
Incorporating air bubbles during mixing is crucial; occasionally lifting and folding the dough helps develop its structure. The mixer is left unlocked during kneading—a strategic move to prevent engine burnout, as the dough's natural bounce supports gentle kneading without stressing the motor.
Once mixed for a few minutes, the dough is transferred to a lightly oiled plastic container for proofing. The baker prefers proving in a plastic container over metal, as metal can inhibit fermentation. The dough is left to rest at room temperature for 24 hours, then refrigerated for an additional 1-2 days. This extended fermentation enhances flavor, develops gluten, and gives the crust a desirable chewiness.
Portioning and Shaping: Achieving Uniform Dough Balls
After fermentation, the dough is portioned into balls of approximately 300 grams each—ideal for a 12 to 14-inch pizza. The process involves carefully trimming and shaping each piece into a tight, tensioned ball by folding the dough from the outside toward the center. Resting these small dough balls on floured baking sheets prepares them for stretching.
If making multiple pizzas, adjust the size of dough portions accordingly; smaller portions yield more pizzas, larger portions create fewer but bigger pizzas. Throughout, it’s vital to recognize that perfectly round shapes aren’t necessary—practice and experience naturally improve shape and consistency.
Preparing the Tomato Sauce: Simple, Fresh, and Balanced
The sauce is made from canned whole peeled tomatoes, preferably with herbs like basil already included. The tomatoes are drained into a bowl, then gently mashed or squeezed by hand—away from your face—to incorporate a varying texture that ensures pleasing bites of both smooth and chunkier tomato.
Flavor balancing is key: add dried herbs (basil, oregano), red pepper flakes for spice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. A small amount of sugar can balance acidity, especially with seasonal or less-ripe tomatoes. Tasting as you go ensures the sauce is seasonally balanced—bright, savory, with just a hint of sweet for harmony.
Cheese selection significantly impacts the final pizza. The classic choice is mozzarella, preferably low moisture to prevent excessive wateriness during baking. The baker emphasizes grating cheese fresh from a cold block—avoiding pre-grated varieties that contain anti-caking agents, which hinder melting.
Fontina is added for its smooth melt and mild, nutty flavor, grated or sliced into thin strands, to provide both flavor and texture contrast. The emphasis on precision and thoughtful layering of cheese ensures every bite is rich, gooey, and satisfying.
With the dough at room temperature, gently pressing it into a disc and starting to stretch from the center outward helps maintain its air pockets—these are "leopard spots" or crust blisters, which lend a crisp, charred appearance and added crunch.
The baker recommends gravity stretching, flipping, and rotating the dough on a floured surface, ever-aiming for an even, thin profile without tearing. Leaving the edges thicker forms the crust. Lightly dusting a pizza peel with semolina flour helps transfer the dough onto the oven or pizza stone without sticking—similar to shuffleboard but with dough.
The key to an excellent pizza is balancing toppings—less is more. A thin layer of sauce spread evenly toward the edge, topped with a modest amount of cheese, allows ingredients to melt properly and develop flavor during baking.
Adding olive oil around the edges of the crust, sometimes seasoned with seasonings like everything bagel spice for extra flavor, enhances aroma and crunch. Avoid overloading; your goal is a harmonious layering where each ingredient can shine.
The baker’s goal is to mimic a professional pizza oven by heating the home oven to its maximum—around 550°F—using pizza stones or baking steels to simulate the intense heat. Preheating these stones ensures quick, even heat transfer to the dough, creating that desirable crispy crust.
Launching the pizza onto the hot surface involves a confident slide with the pizza peel. The baker stresses the importance of shaking and spinning the pizza during baking to achieve even coloring and prevent hot spots, especially in home ovens where heat distribution varies.
Baking time depends on oven temperament but generally ranges from a few minutes, with frequent rotation to ensure uniform cooking. The goal is to achieve "leopard spots"—those dark, crisp patches on the crust—and a bubbling, lightly browned cheese topping.
The Final Touch: Butter and Presentation
For the finishing touch, brushing the crust with melted butter adds flavor, shine, and a touch of nuttiness, elevating the appearance and taste. Some opt for browned butter for added depth. The resultant crust is golden, glossy, and flavorful.
Once baked, resting the pizza briefly on a wire rack prevents sogginess, then slicing and serving will reveal the perfect cross-section—air bubbles, well-distributed cheese, and a crisp crust. The baker demonstrates that even in home conditions, careful technique and patience yield exceptional results.
Continuous Improvement: Making Better Pizzas with Each Attempt
The process thrives on iteration. The baker admits that the second pizza is generally better than the first due to experience gained in shaping, topping, and baking. The third is often their best, with improvements in shape, color, and flavor.
Fun fact: The black spots, called leopard spots, are the visual hallmark of well-developed, high-temperature baked pizza, contributing crunch and authentic appearance—markers of a successful bake.
Conclusion: Confidence and Care Make Perfect Pizza
While professional pizza ovens produce unmatched flavors, this guide shows that with high heat, good ingredients, and purposeful technique, anyone can craft delicious, restaurant-quality pizza at home. The key lessons include patience in dough fermentation, restraint in toppings, mastery of stretching, and attentiveness during baking.
In the end, homemade pizza is as much about the process as the product—each step building on the last to create a truly satisfying culinary experience. So, gather your ingredients, embrace the craft, and enjoy the delicious journey of making pizza from scratch.
The Legacy of the Bristol Scout: An Intimate Look at a World War I Aviation Marvel
In a captivating episode of The Great War on the Road, Indy Neidell takes viewers to the historic Stole Mary’s Aerodrome in Essex, England — the best-preserved World War I aerodrome in Europe. Through this episode, viewers are introduced to a remarkable aircraft: the Bristol Scout, flown by British ace Charles "Grandpa" Bremner during 1916, and the passionate efforts to rebuild and preserve his aircraft.
The Significance of the Bristol Scout in Early Military Aviation
The Bristol Scout is an aircraft often overlooked in popular history, but its importance cannot be overstated. Designed just prior to the outbreak of World War I, it first flew in February 1914, marking a significant milestone in British aviation. Notably, it was one of two aircraft considered to be the best in the world at the time, surpassing the French aircraft that had dominated the aerial scene.
The Scout's development paralleled Britain's entry into the war, and it quickly proved to be a game-changer. While the French held the advantage with superior designs and piloting skills during the early days, the Bristol Scout introduced new capabilities to the British Royal Flying Corps (RFC). Its design incorporated full aerobatic capabilities, allowing pilots to perform complex maneuvers that were groundbreaking for the era.
The Family Legacy and Ambitious Rebuilding Project
The episode centers around David Bremner, who, over 15 years, meticulously researched and reconstructed a Bristol Scout that belonged to his grandfather. Bremner’s dedication stemmed from both historical curiosity and familial pride, as his grandfather served as a pilot in the Eastern Mediterranean in 1916.
Bremner and his colleague, Theo Wilfred — a lifelong aviation enthusiast influenced by Biggles books — embarked on an ambitious 13-year project to rebuild the aircraft, combining historical research with hands-on craftsmanship. The result is a beautifully restored Bristol Scout, which isn’t just a replica but a reconstruction of his grandfather’s plane, complete with many original or rare components.
Detailed Insights into the Aircraft and Its Operations
The Bristol Scout was produced in limited numbers, approximately 374 units, from 1914 to late 1916. Initially unarmed, the aircraft was conventional in design but remarkably agile, and it was used primarily for reconnaissance and aerial combat.
Bremner explains that the plane's design was intended for high speed and agility, which allowed its pilots to perform combat maneuvers that earlier aircraft couldn't manage. Early attempts to arm the Scout involved manually aiming machine guns mounted on the aircraft, as synchronization gear for firing through the propeller was unreliable at that time. Notably, legendary WWI ace Alfred "Elly" Hawker achieved notable success in a Bristol Scout using a Lewis gun mounted to fire sideways, a method that avoided synchronization issues but presented its own difficulties.
The aircraft used a rotary engine — an innovative design for the period — that provided good power and efficiency. Bremner highlights that, although this engine configuration resulted in some handling quirks, such as pull-to-one-side during certain maneuvers, it was a significant technological advancement that made flying practical and effective in 1914.
Bremner shares compelling stories about his grandfather’s wartime experiences. Serving in the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS), his grandfather participated in operations over Gallipoli, including crossing the Aegean Sea to support the campaign. One harrowing account details how he was shot down over the Gallipoli Peninsula in December 1915, during a weathered flight, narrowly escaping with his life amid shellfire from Turkish defenses.
Remarkably, his grandfather was among the last to evacuate Gallipoli, flying the aircraft back to safety just as the campaign was ending. Later, he flew the Bristol Scout from Imbros to support the Salonika front in Greece—a perilous journey across 90 water miles—underscoring the level of skill and bravery required of WWI pilots.
The episode vividly details Bremner’s meticulous work in reconstructing his grandfather's aircraft. He emphasizes the importance of historical accuracy, sourcing genuine WWI instruments, and reconstructing custom parts such as the cockpit’s long stick, which Bremner’s grandfather extended to accommodate his height.
The restoration process involved studying rare parts, some of which Bremner’s grandfather had preserved after the war, now stored in his workshop. Bremner explains unique modifications, like the added oil tank moved for better performance, and the paintwork and markings that mirror the original aircraft.
Bremner discusses what it's like to pilot a WWI aircraft, emphasizing the importance of weather conditions, wind, and turbulence. He notes that the rotary engine's distinctive pull to one side and the need for goggles to protect against wind and spray made flying a challenging but profoundly authentic experience.
He recounts flying the recreated aircraft from the same spot his grandfather flew from, over the Gallipoli and the Western Front, recreating poignant moments that connect past and present. Bremner also shares his emotional journey — flying over the trenches where his great-uncle fought and over a memorial to those lost — feelings that still evoke chills.
This project isn't mere reconstruction; it’s a tribute to a family legacy and an effort to preserve the early chapters of aviation history. Bremner has garnered media attention, including a documentary directed by BAFTA-nominated filmmaker Team Saunders, which details the aircraft’s history, restoration, and Bremner’s personal story. The film aims to educate and inspire, emphasizing how these aircraft fundamentally shaped modern aviation.
The recreated Bristol Scout now serves as a living memory, flown at significant historic sites, including the very field where Bremner’s grandfather first took to the skies a century ago. Such efforts ensure that the bravery, innovation, and endurance of WWI pilots are not forgotten.
For those interested in exploring Bremner’s inspiring journey further, links are provided for viewings of the documentary and additional resources on WWI aviation history.
Conclusion: A Testament to Courage and Heritage
The story of the Bristol Scout, reconstructed by David Bremner, is more than about a vintage aircraft — it’s about heritage, memory, and the indomitable spirit that defined early military aviation. As Bremner poignantly remarks, flying his grandfather’s plane over the very sites of combat connects him directly to that turbulent yet pioneering era, ensuring the sacrifices and innovations of WWI pilots are remembered by future generations.
The Turmoil in Russia and the Progress of World War I: A Detailed Overview
Post-Revolution Power Struggles in Russia
Since the February Revolution that toppled Tsarist rule, Russia has been embroiled in a chaotic power struggle involving various factions, notably the Provisional Government and the Petrograd Soviet. However, the political landscape is even more complex with multiple competing groups vying for influence. Recently, a new faction advocating for military dictatorship has emerged, signaling further instability.
On August 25-28, in Moscow, a significant gathering took place, drawing nearly 2,500 influential figures including aristocrats, capitalists, military generals, Mensheviks, Cossacks, and socialist revolutionaries. This assembly aimed to plot against the Bolsheviks, calling for the abolition of Soviet power, the dismantling of socialist military structures, and continued participation in the war until its final resolution.
Prominent leaders like Generals Lavr Kornilov, Aleksei Kaledin, and Pavel Miliukov delivered speeches advocating for a strict, authoritarian regime to suppress radical socialism. Kornilov, in particular, pushed for a military coup, asserting that only a military dictatorship could prevent the fall of Petrograd to German forces. He even claimed to have the approval of Prime Minister Alexander Kérensky to seize the capital and arrest Bolshevik leaders. This ambition reflected the deep division within the Russian government: some factions sought a social democratic course, while others favored military authoritarianism.
On the same day, a one-day strike broke out in Moscow involving approximately 400,000 workers, highlighting widespread unrest. The Bolsheviks accused the Moscow meeting of conspiracy against the common people, intensifying the political polarization. Kornilov, after this congress, proposed various plans to strengthen government authority and suppress revolutionary elements. He met with wealthy Russian elites on a train, seeking their material and economic support to undertake a military occupation of Petrograd.
Kornilov claimed that he had the support of Kérensky and was prepared to lead a military crackdown to restore order, emphasizing that a complete military dictatorship was essential for Russia’s survival, especially amid signs of German advances into Latvia and the threat of the city’s fall.
The Fragmentation of Russia’s Military and Government
Russia’s military landscape is fractured and chaotic. General Alexei Kaledin, commander of the Black Sea Fleet, faced mutiny and disobedience after the February Revolution. In June, a mutiny erupted onboard the flagship Oleg in the Black Sea, where four dissatisfied officers were arrested by their crew. Dissent among sailors persisted; the land forces, notably the Black Sea Detachment, refused to obey orders, with a planned attack on Sinop being canceled after soldiers refused to mobilize. Kaledin was eventually forced to resign and was ordered by Kérensky to leave for Britain. He traveled to the UK, met with British Admiral Jellicoe, and visited the U.S. fleet stationed in Europe before deciding to return to Russia via Japan.
Furthermore, the Black Sea Fleet attempted to navigate the Bosporus Strait in July but was met with minimal engagement before withdrawing. Despite some cold boldness—such as the failed assault on Odessa—the overall morale within the fleet was deteriorating rapidly, with the sailors losing their fighting spirit.
The Russian military's ambitions to capture Odessa appeared to be waning, with recent assaults ending in failure. In late August, Russian forces conducted a brief amphibious landing at Odessa, destroying some buildings before retreating. Attempts to land at Wona also failed after Turkish artillery forced them to withdraw. This defeat underscored a demoralized army increasingly disinterested in the war effort, with the Bolsheviks advocating for an immediate end to hostilities and even proposing rapprochement with Turkey, claiming that Russia and the Ottoman Empire shared common enemies—namely Germany. A secret note sent by a Russian ship through the Bosporus suggested a desire for peaceful coexistence and a break from the traditional alliance system, reflecting Lenin’s revolutionary vision of ending the war at any cost, even surrender.
While the Caucasus remained largely quiet compared to other fronts, the Eastern and Western Fronts saw intense fighting. The Second Battle of Verdun persisted into August, with French forces pushing back against German advances. In Italy, fighting at the Bainsizza Plateau and the San Gabriele mountains resulted in the capture of thousands of enemy soldiers.
Meanwhile, on September 5, German submarine U-88, commanded by Walter Schweiger (notorious for sinking Lusitania in 1915), was sunk by British mines after having previously accounted for significant Allied shipping. The submarine's captain had been celebrated for sinking nearly 190,000 tons of Allied vessels, including the Lusitania, and was decorated with Germany's highest military honors.
A noteworthy development in the summer was a covert meeting in Switzerland between British arms dealer Basil Zaharoff and Ottoman Defense Minister Enver Pasha. Zaharoff offered $1.5 million in gold to facilitate negotiations between the Ottomans and the Allies, proposing Turkey betray the Central Powers and join the Allies. Pasha, tempted by the bribe, ultimately rejected the offer, maintaining loyalty to the Ottoman-German alliance.
The internal chaos within Russia, combined with declining morale among the Black Sea Fleet and ongoing military failures, painted a grim picture of the disintegrating war effort. On September 5, a tragic event highlighted the brutal military discipline: British soldier James Smith, a veteran of Gallipoli and the Western Front, was executed after mutiny. Smith had faced severe disciplinary issues, including being buried alive by a German shell in 1916, and was sentenced to death for desertion. Despite the execution, he survived the firing squad, and the officer responsible felt remorse for the act, reflecting the extreme pressures faced by soldiers.
As the week concluded, Russia's internal political chaos deepened, with factions vying for control amid fears of an imminent military collapse. The Black Sea Fleet's morale was shattered, and on multiple fronts, physical battles raged with varying success. Meanwhile, secret negotiations indicated potential shifts in alliances, though nothing concrete was achieved.
This tumultuous snapshot of 1917 reveals a world in turmoil—churches and governments shaking, soldiers and sailors rebelling, and hope dwindling for an end to the most brutal conflict humanity had known. The Soviet Revolution, the fragmentation of military command, and the relentless German advances all typify an epoch fraught with chaos and uncertainty. The war was far from over, and the future of Russia and Europe hung in delicate balance.

In-Depth Analysis of the New Battlefield 1 Expansion Pack Trailers
The latest Battlefield 1 expansion packs, titled "Devil's Dead" and "In the Name of the Tsar," have sparked significant excitement among fans. In this detailed analysis, we delve into the rich historical context, gameplay elements, and artistic choices embedded within the trailers, revealing fascinating stories from World War I and how they are portrayed in the game.
One noteworthy aspect is the collaborative effort behind the trailers. The team, including the presenter and Marcus, meticulously edited the subtitles and text overlays, enhancing the storytelling and immersion. These subtle but impactful tweaks ensure that players grasp the historical nuances and contribute to a more authentic experience.
A Glimpse into the Russian Front: The "In the Name of the Tsar" Trailer
We kick off with the Russian-focused trailer, which opens with poetic verses penned by famed Russian poet Andrei Andreevna Akhmatova:
"You will hear the thunder and remember me - this woman longs for a storm"
"The horizon will eventually turn blood-red, and at that moment, you, as always, will feel the burning fire"
The trailer features a piercing dagger, crafted from a Georgian Cossack short sword, hinting that the protagonist might be a Cossack from the Caucasus region, emphasizing the diverse identities within the Imperial Russian forces.
Iconic Military Machines: The Armored Train
A striking scene shows an armored train tearing through the snow-covered landscape, likely the "Zamulets" train—renowned for its formidable defenses, including 16mm thick armor, powered by twin 60-horsepower gasoline engines, and armed with a 76.2mm Putilov cannon. Historically, this train served since 1916 for the Imperial Russian Army, later passing through Red and Czech forces, symbolizing the importance of mobile artillery in WWI.
The train, considered a "beast" among combat vehicles, was pivotal because it represented a lifeline for supply chains on the Eastern Front—something you couldn’t simply destroy without jeopardizing your own logistics. The trailer also highlights the typical Scandinavian-style wooden barriers along the coastline, particularly on the Baltic shores like Estonia.
Photorealistic depictions of "Ilya-Muroometz" heavy bombers soar through clouds, showcasing Russia’s early dominance in aerial combat with four-engine aircraft capable of carrying up to 0.8 tons of bombs (about 1800 pounds). These aircraft could accommodate 16 personnel, including crew and a bathroom, emphasizing their role as the precursor to modern "flying fortress" concepts and the earliest aircraft with fully enclosed cockpits.
Modern Warfare Elements: The "Putilov-Gaford" Armored Car
On the ground, we see the "Putilov-Gaford" armored car—more like a truck than a tank—serving primarily on the Eastern Front, especially in Ukraine. Despite its looks, it mounted a 76mm mountain gun and machine guns, and was vital for special operations. However, due to modest engine power, its maximum speed was only about 10 miles per hour (16 km/h), making it slow but effective in reconnaissance.
The scene transitions to the brutal battles in Galicia, where Russian and Austro-Hungarian forces suffered heavy losses. Cavalry units, including Cossacks and Kirks, are shown charging with traditional helmets like the "Papakh", indicating their Caucasus origins. Cavalry units played a crucial role in early reconnaissance and surprise tactics, supporting armored trains and other mechanized units.
The presentation notes the use of Chinese-designed Liu General rifles, highlighting the global nature of the war effort, with China providing weaponry and labor.
During WWI, China had substantial involvement, including labor conscripts and troops, especially in port cities like Qingdao. The complex political and military situation led to various chaos and shifting alliances, which are briefly referenced. Interestingly, in the trailers, a MG 14/17, a lightweight machine gun, is depicted—an evolution of the MG 08, optimized for aircraft, with a rapid firing rate of 700 rounds per minute but prone to overheating due to its water-cooling system being removed.
French Perspectives: Trench Warfare and Heavy Artillery
Switching to the Western Front, scenes depict French soldiers entrenched in the infamous Verdun fortress, engaging in trench warfare where conditions led to suffocating gases and黑暗 underground battles. The staticky images of soldiers using Shaosha light machine guns and facing constant shellfire dramatize the human toll of static warfare.
The "Verdun Spirit" is symbolized by the phrase "They shall not pass," originally associated with the French resistance during the Battle of Verdun. A monument inscribed with this phrase stands in the region’s memorials, representing the resilience of French troops, many of whom were colonial soldiers from Africa, notably Senegalese troops, depicted in the films wearing traditional uniforms and fighting bravely on the front lines.
French Innovation: The Renault FT and the Char 2C Tank
The French pioneered early tank design, with models like the "Saint-Chamond" tank—a cumbersome vehicle powered by a 75mm gun, heavily criticized for its weight and sluggishness in 1917. Despite its shortcomings, the concept evolved into the "support tank", a mobile artillery platform, showcasing the innovative shift from infantry support to more versatile armored units.
The Char 2C, a behemoth weighing 69 tons, is also shown—one of the largest tanks of the era, equipped with multiple machine guns and a 75mm gun. Although produced late in the war, its mere existence foreshadowed the future of armored warfare.
A poetic interlude features Plyvoart Boudryk's famous WWI poem, capturing the chaos of artillery battles with onomatopoeic "Boom Boom Boom" sounds, emphasizing the relentless intensity of the conflict.
The propaganda phrases like "Oath to defend" and iconic imagery such as soldiers amidst smoke and destruction reinforce the collective morale and glorification of sacrifice, particularly highlighting the "Battle of Verdun" as a symbol of unyielding French resilience.
The landscape is dotted with memorials, notably the "Mourning Mountain" monument inscribed with the phrase "Oath to Defend," which became a rallying cry for French soldiers. The battle epitomized trench stalemates and human endurance, with images of soldiers, including African colonial troops, fighting tirelessly against German assaults.
The Trench Warfare and Specialized Units
The trailer introduces "trench sweepers," elite soldiers responsible for clearing residual resistance after major offensives. Encased in heavy protective gear and equipped with grenades and melee weapons, these troops were the deadly, close-quarters specialists of WWI, though France ultimately did not deploy such "super-specialists" at scale.
WWI saw the emergence of modern infantry tactics, emphasizing coordination between regular infantry, tanks, and artillery. The destructive visuals of massed assaults and armored breakthroughs are depicted, although actual speeds were far less cinematic, emphasizing the brutal reality of war.
The Human Cost and Immortalized Soldiers
A recurring theme in the trailers is the human sacrifice represented through images of black soldiers from French colonies, particularly Senegalese troops, fighting on the front lines—illustrating the global dimension of WWI. These soldiers became symbols of resilience, embodied in the slogan "Oath to Defend," etched on monuments in Verdun.
The video concludes by inviting viewers to comment and engage further, promising more in-depth content on WWI's battlefield history.
Final Thoughts
This detailed trailer analysis not only provides insight into the game’s recreation of WWI but also illuminates the complex, often overlooked stories of soldiers from diverse backgrounds, innovative warfare technology, and the enduring human spirit amidst one of history's most devastating conflicts. The creators emphasize authentic details—from armored trains and early aircraft to colonial troops—making the game a powerful homage to the Great War’s legacy.
The Legendary French Pilot: The Life and Legacy of Georges Guynemer
Throughout World War I, the skies were fiercely contested by skilled Italian, British, German, and French aviators, among whom flying aces became symbols of national pride and heroism. Among these legendary figures, Georges Guynemer stands out as one of the greatest French aces, revered for his daring exploits and unwavering patriotism, despite his tragically brief life.
Born on Christmas Eve in 1894 in Compiégne, France, Georges Guynemer’s childhood was marked by frailty. His parents, Paul Guynemer and Julie, Countess of Saint-Quentin, came from a family with a rich history, boasting ancestors who served under Charlemagne, signed treaties ending significant conflicts, and held judicial prominence during the French Revolution. Despite his family's prominence, young Georges was often sickly and delicate, which seemed to cast doubt on any physically demanding pursuits.
Nevertheless, Guynemer showed cerebral agility, quick reflexes, and strategic wit, traits that earned him a place at Stanislaus Military College at age 12. By 15, he had earned a degree and aspired to attend the École Polytechnique, driven by a fascination with machines and the nascent era of powered flight. His early love for aviation was cemented in 1910 when he secretly flew for the first time, a bold move that underscored his passion despite his physical limitations.
When World War I broke out, Guynemer faced rejection due to his frailty—he was unable to enlist directly—yet his determination remained unshaken. After five unsuccessful attempts, he finally entered as a student mechanic, persuading officials to accept his utility in maintaining aircraft. By January 1915, he became a student pilot, flying an observation plane, a Morane-Saulnier.
His fearless nature quickly shone through. Guynemer joined Escadrille MS-3, famously known as Les Cigognes (The Storks), where he distinguished himself both in combat and reputation. His first confirmed aerial victory occurred on July 19, 1915, over Soissons, after a tense ten-minute dogfight that saw him firing 115 rounds, even as his rifle jammed repeatedly. For this feat, he and his observer, Guerder, received the Military Medal, and Guynemer was promoted to sergeant.
Despite the primitive tactics of the day, Guynemer's exploits multiplied quickly. Moving from observation to fighter planes, notably the Nieuport 11, he scored his first victory in this new craft on December 5, 1915. By his 21st birthday, he had achieved four victories, earning France's prestigious Legion of Honor.
Guynemer’s aggressive combat tactics—closely engaging enemy aircraft—earned him increasing success. In March 1916, he was transferred to Verdun, then the war’s most brutal front. Despite being wounded—shot in the face and left arm—he refused to leave the fight and recovered near his family home, with his sister Yvonne monitoring the weather to help him take off for combat whenever conditions allowed.
His skill and daring led to rapid accumulation of victories: by mid-1916, he boasted 11 kills, achieving this in a period when the French Air Service had downed only about 15 planes in the entire last quarter of 1915. With a switch to the more rugged SPAD VII fighter in September 1916, Guynemer’s victory count surged as he employed close-range tactics, making him a feared and respected opponent.
By late 1916 and into 1917, Guynemer’s rank advanced to lieutenant and then captain. Notably, on May 25, 1917, he achieved a remarkable quadruple victory—downing four enemy aircraft in a single day. This extraordinary feat pushed his total victories to 42 and was celebrated nationally, turning Guynemer into a national hero and a symbol of French resilience.
By July 1917, Guynemer had become France’s Ace of Aces, with over 50 confirmed victories—the first French pilot to reach this milestone. His reputation grew beyond veteran circles; he became a living legend inspiring the French populace amid the chaos of war.
However, his heroism was short-lived. On September 24, 1917, Guynemer took off in a SPAD XIII with wingman Second Lieutenant Bozon-Verduraz during a patrol over Langemarck, Belgium. Spotting a German aircraft, Guynemer dove into combat but soon disappeared from view. The following day, the French War Department announced him missing in action, and speculation about his fate began to swirl.
Initial reports from comrades painted a heroic but tragic picture. A fellow pilot recounted that Guynemer engaged multiple enemy aircraft, including the famed and formidable Jagdstaffel 11 under Baron von Richthofen, the "Red Baron." Accounts described him as being "hit" and that his plane veered away gently, but was not on fire, leading to various theories about his fate.
Contradicting some of these stories, aviation expert analysis debunked the heroic narrative. It was established that Guynemer was last seen attacking a two-seater, not a squadron of fighters, and that his plane’s markings did not match those of the German "Circus" Jasta 11, which was engaged in aerial battles over Britain at that time. Belgian ace Willy Coppens confirmed that Guynemer had been caught in typical combat, and in 1976, Coppens stated Guynemer was engaged elsewhere, not in the infamous jasta fight.
The Red Cross reported that Guynemer was likely shot in the head, and subsequent investigations—possibly involving a German surgeon—confirmed his death. His wreckage and body were believed to have been destroyed by artillery fire as the Allies shelled the area. Guynemer was only 22 years old.
Legacy and Lasting Impact
Guynemer’s death shocked France, as the nation grieved the loss of one of its most revered heroes. Today, his memory endures through statues, street names, and historical accounts. His life even inspired a Twilight Zone episode in 1960, which, though fictionalized, reflected the enduring mythos surrounding him.
His motto, “Until one has given all, one has given nothing,” encapsulates his unwavering commitment to France and valor. While he was surpassed in victory count by others like René Fonck, Guynemer’s spirit symbolized the courage, daring, and sacrifice of all WWI aviators. He remains an icon of World War I aviation history—a hero whose brief but brilliant career continues to inspire generations.

The Great War Weekly Summary: The Fall of Riga and the Global Frontlines
This week’s developments in the ongoing Great War marked a significant shift in the international conflict, notably with the fall of Riga, a key Baltic city. While battles raged on multiple frontlines—ranging from the trenches of Italy to the open seas and aerial warfare—the geopolitical landscape was rapidly changing, leaving profound implications for both the Central and Allied Powers.
Riga, situated at the mouth of the Daugava River in the Baltic Sea, had long been a coveted target for the German military. Despite facing formidable defenses—including Russian riverfront positions on the east bank and strongholds on the west—German forces under General Oscar von Hutdill launched a comprehensive assault.
Hutdill’s artillery barrage was overwhelming. With approximately 750 heavy guns and 550 mortars, supported by renowned artillery commander Georg Brusmahler, nicknamed Doj Brusmahler, the Germans executed a meticulously planned attack. Brusmahler’s innovative tactics involved rapid, dense bombardments—comprising mostly toxic gas and high-explosive shells—to disorient and incapacitate Russian defenders.
The offensive began at dawn on September 1, with the artillery fire obliterating Russian artillery positions and causing a mass retreat driven by fear. The attack incorporated specialized assault teams equipped with light machine guns, grenades, and flamethrowers, who bypassed main defenses to strike at artillery and command posts. Water obstacles necessitated amphibious training and the construction of floating bridges, enabling assault crossings.
By 8:30 AM, the Russian defenses had crumbled, and the Germans crossed the Daugava River, quickly establishing control of Riga, approximately 30 kilometers northeast of the city. The victory was swift and decisive, with Russian forces retreating and preparing to establish new defensive lines further east. The fall of Riga marked a significant loss in the Baltic region for the Russians, representing a strategic blow at a pivotal port city.
Political Turmoil in Russia and the Impact on the War
Meanwhile, in Russia, the political situation was precarious. The Bolshevik movement was gaining momentum, with reports indicating that many military officers and government officials preferred surrender to the Germans rather than continue fighting. Army Commander Lavr Kornilov organized a meeting with 4,000 officers, vowing to hang Bolshevik revolutionaries—reflecting the internal conflict within the Russian military and government.
Prime Minister Alexander Kerensky visited the frontlines, promising to establish a military dictatorship to stabilize Russia. Kornilov, however, demanded Kerensky's resignation, asserting that such a government was ineffective. Kerensky initially believed they had an agreement, but tension quickly arose when Kornilov refused to send cavalry troops to Petrograd, leading to chaos and internal discord. By the week's end, Russia remained in turmoil, with no clear resolution in sight.
In France, political unrest also surfaced. Prime Minister Alexandre Ribot dismissed Interior Minister Louis Malvy, causing the entire cabinet to resign. The country's leadership was shown to be fragile amid wartime pressures, with a new government led by Paul Baner after Ribot, who then took over the Foreign Ministry.
On the battlefield, French and British forces continued small-scale engagements. Canadian troops successfully held the town of Laon against German attacks, capturing approximately 250 meters of territory in night operations. Similarly, British Columbia units made gains by seizing a 300-meter stretch of enemy-held buildings, reflecting persistent, low-intensity combat across the Western Front.
The Italian and Romanian Fronts: Intense Mountain and Moldovan Battles
The Italian Campaign saw fierce fighting around Bainsizza Plateau and the Sgurgola Mountains, especially during the 11th Isonzo River Battle. Italian forces launched a daring assault on September 3, executing a three-pronged attack that overwhelmed Austro-Hungarian defenses within an hour. The London Times praised the tactical brilliance, noting that Italian troops managed to seize key mountain peaks and strategic positions, capturing significant amounts of weapons and supplies abandoned by retreating Austrians.
In Romania, the Battle of Mureșeşti approached its conclusion. Romanian and Russian forces fought a hard-fought engagement, yet suffered heavy losses and limited territorial gains. On September 5, Romanian volunteer Käte Terdoru led an infantry unit in combat and was killed, exemplifying the fierce fighting. By September 8, German General Karl von Weninger was also killed by artillery, highlighting the high casualty rate among senior commanders. Despite heavy losses, some reports suggest Romanian forces claimed victory, though these claims are contested, and historians debate the true outcome of the battle.
In response to intensified German U-boat activity, the Allied navies advanced their convoy system—organizing ships into tightly packed groups protected by destroyers and deep-water bombs. This strategy aimed to mitigate losses and was proving effective: by the end of the month, 83 convoys comprising over 1,300 vessels had successfully reached Britain, with only 18 ships lost—mainly those that separated from the convoy system. German U-boat kills increased when ships ventured alone or were vulnerable, prompting the Allies to tighten their maritime defenses and reduce shipping casualties.
Air warfare saw escalating German assaults against Britain. On September 3, six German aircraft bombed Scherliness, causing 132 casualties and injuries. The next day, London and southeastern rural areas endured an air raid that resulted in 19 deaths and 71 wounded—marking some of the earliest significant aerial attacks on Britain. Sadly, American soldiers also suffered, with four U.S. troops killed during a German airstrike on a French hospital—representing the first American military casualties on the Western Front.
On September 6, General John J. Pershing moved the American Expeditionary Forces' headquarters from Paris to Château-Thierry, signaling ongoing military buildup. French President Raymond Poincaré visited the American command, but both sides expressed skepticism about readiness. U.S. War Secretary Newton B. Baker acknowledged that American troops were still in training, and not yet fully prepared for combat—a point emphasized by military leaders like General Clemenceau, who noted that no army was ever completely ready before entering the fray.
Looking Ahead: A War of Attrition and Uncertain Outcomes
This tumultuous week underscored the multifaceted nature of the war—set against the backdrop of territorial conquests, political upheavals, and relentless fighting across continents. The fall of Riga signifies a troubling progression for Russia, with fears mounting over the possibility of further territorial losses and the potential fall of Petrograd. Meanwhile, the stalemates and small-scale battles in Italy and the Western Front continue unabated.
The conflicting reports on Romania’s campaign, the strategic shift in naval warfare, and the unsettling increase in aerial assaults collectively paint a picture of a war that is intensifying and evolving. As Russian internal chaos looms and Germany presses forward, the global conflict moves into a period of uncertain outcomes. The resilience of the Allied forces, especially the emergence of the American military presence, remains vital in shaping the war's trajectory.

Exploring Stole Mary's Aerodrome: A Unique Insight into World War I Aviation
In an engaging visit to Essex, England, Indy Neidell takes viewers on a journey through the historic Stole Mary's Aerodrome, one of the most well-preserved World War I airfields in Europe. Guided by Rory Kirkby, a veteran researcher and volunteer at the site, the episode unveils the rich history, strategic importance, and ongoing restoration efforts of this remarkable site that played a vital role in early 20th-century aerial warfare.
Founded in 1916 by the Royal Flying Corps, Stole Mary's Aerodrome was established as a defensive stronghold against German Zeppelin and bomber raids, especially over the Thames Estuary. The location was deliberately chosen because of the nearby River Crouch, which the Germans used for navigation towards London, making it an ideal point for intercepting enemy aircraft.
During its operational years, the aerodrome was primarily tasked with defending Britain’s eastern approaches, although Zeppelin raids proved notoriously difficult to shoot down at the time. This difficulty was compounded by the fact that incendiary bullets had not yet been developed, and many raids happened under cover of darkness, making visual identification and targeting especially challenging for pilots operating in the 1916-1919 period.
The aerodrome remained active until 1919, shortly after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which marked the end of hostilities. During this interlude, the airfield’s buildings were requisitioned from local farmers, who chose to keep and repurpose them for storage rather than demolish them—a decision that contributed to the site’s exceptional preservation. Today, Stole Mary's is considered the most complete surviving WWI aerodrome in Europe.
Recognizing its historic importance, a charitable organization oversees ongoing restoration work, aiming to return the site as close to its 1919 configuration as possible. Funding comes from a mix of public support, charitable grants, and dedicated volunteers committed to rebuilding the structures, from hangars to officers' quarters, step by step.
Currently, about halfway through their restoration goal, volunteers meticulously refurbish each building. Recent projects include the Officers' Mess, which was once a luxurious facility with amenities like tennis courts and gramophones, contrasting sharply with the Spartan conditions faced by enlisted men housed in tents and simple barracks outside.
The main headquarters building was where administrative functions and communications took place and served as the nerve center of operations. Nearby, the enlisted men and officers had separate accommodations, with officers enjoying more privacy and comfort, including individual rooms connected by corridors.
Living Quarters and Support Facilities
Barracks and Barracks Grounds: Enlisted personnel, mostly soldiers and airmen, camped in tents on the parade ground, which was planned to be concreted over had the war continued.
Women’s Quarters: A dedicated building housed women who performed essential tasks such as cooking and cleaning, often riding motorcycles—a forward-thinking mode of transportation for women at the time—and played a role in the broader empowerment movement of the era.
NCOs Barracks: Non-commissioned officers, including sergeants and petty officers, lived and worked here, some of them serving as spotters and observers.
Air Operations and Engineering
Runways and Takeoff: Unlike modern airports, this aerodrome had no permanent runway; aircraft took off in any direction, depending on wind conditions—an essential feature given the fragile construction of early warplanes made from wood, canvas, and wire.
Maintenance and Repair: The engine workshops, blacksmith’s shop, and "dope workshop"—where aircraft wings were covered with toxic chemicals—underscore the intensive maintenance required to keep the aircraft operational amid their fragile build.
Fuel Storage and Safety Measures: The fuel store was deliberately left open to allow explosions to vent upwards, a safety measure that unfortunately left the storage vulnerable to weather.
A monument erected in 2010 bears the names of 10 individuals who served and died at the site—primarily due to training accidents, which were the leading cause of casualties given the nascent state of aviation technology. Notably, two young men, aged 17 and 19, lost their lives during a mission over the Thames, with one’s body never recovered after a friendly fire incident involving a British destroyer.
Challenges and Future Plans
The restoration process is meticulous and ongoing, with a projected timeline of ten years to fully refurbish all buildings to their original state. Funding agencies, private donors, and volunteers continue to support the endeavor, reflecting the community’s dedication to preserving this national historical treasure.
Throughout the site, evidence of local engagement remains strong. The aerodrome was not isolated; it maintained close ties with the surrounding community, hosting social events and fundraising activities like war bond drives, which bolstered public morale and support for the war effort.
A Window into Aviation’s Origins
Stole Mary’s offers a rare glimpse into the early days of military aviation, capturing the work, hazards, and lifestyle of WWI pilots and support staff. From the flying conditions—taking off into the wind, navigating without modern instruments—to the camaraderie and sacrifice of those who served, the site remains a testament to the pioneering spirit of aerial warfare.
Located just a short drive or flight from London and near Stansted Airport, the aerodrome is accessible to history enthusiasts, schools, and tourists eager to connect with Britain’s wartime aviation heritage. As restoration continues, visitors can witness part of history preserved for future generations.
For those interested in the broader story of WWI aviation, episodes like "Bloody April" are available, offering deeper insights into the trials and innovations that shaped modern air warfare.
In summary, Stole Mary's Aerodrome is more than just a relic; it is a living homage to the brave men and women who helped pioneer aerial combat. Through careful restoration and community effort, this site continues to educate and inspire, illuminating a vital chapter of military history that changed the way nations wage war forever.
Make no excuses for ignorance! Money may stop you from enrolling in school, but don't stop learning. Learning is everywhere even on INLEO
#life #threadstorm
To put it in context, $293 million was spent daily on Ukraine. That amount could be used to boost security in every U.S. city and potentially save many American lives.
$LEO is holding strong amid market volatility. Recent data shows it outperforming many exchange tokens, with a current price around $8.59. Recovery tied to bullish sentiment and limited supply. Keep an eye on regulatory updates impacting exchanges
It can only tip what is deposited. Not sure I can make it so that you can send directly from your own wallet. It could easily compromise keys, if it's even possible, I guess.
ah ok, that‘s what i was wondering. So ME can only tip what ME has deposited to the bot, ok. But i could just send funds directly without detour. Do you have a certain usecase in mind?
You can now use !withdraw to take out the remaining funds you have with the bot.
My initial plan won't work, that would require a lot of different accounts. Wonder if I should just stick to the bot account and then use that for all my ideas. The name isn't all that great for a multipurpose bot 🤣🤣
wait time 0 should be fine, but did you set any limits? dunno how often those containerposts are created. i set it to 10 a day and 70 a week to start with …
I hate banks! It took me 45 minutes to complete a transaction. The bank can't give me a meaningful error message, just that there is a general error. Thanks for nothing! For this reason, stablecoins will be much easier to handle in everyday use.
I have tried the coca wallet already but I don't want to KYC ^^' So it's not for me. I don't want to write every cashback myself in my tax formular. That's why I have a spending account where I get 1% cashback in BTC. I hope I can so accumulate at least 100k sats a year. I started this month but I will only get like 800 sats or so. Will keep you updated when I get the cashback credited in my account :D
yeah I don't want the get fucked by the gov xD So I try everything that is KYCed to be ok. Everything what is not KYCed is nice for me ;) That's why I joined HIVE. I like that you can make a account without being KYCed.
I don't mind the KYC. Mostly it's for security reasons and doesn't actually show up for your local government (unless you live in the same country as the company that issue the card, maybe).
I'm already using the danish cashback thing. But they don't pay satoshi - and tehre's a minimum payout of 100 DKK. And not all places give cashback. It feels like some kind of setup to control where people spend their money.
So #askleo , all I need to do is to bridge $LEO from my wallet in Hive Keychain/Engine to #Arbitrum and I will be able to stack it on #leodex to get rewards from the end of september? Double checking with anyone, thx in advance.

Time flying by is so real. Feels like I just started investing a decade ago, and now those early moves are compounding. Stick to the process, and time will work for you
Depending on the investment and the growth of the tokens. There is a possibility that one can clear his/her debts and get a decent living.
Financially free, not very sure though
DCA weekly, reinvest all yield. Split something like 50% LEO / 30% LSTR / 20% SURGE. Harvest green days into SURGE; redeploy fear back into LEO/LSTR. Give it 24–36 months.
Already made me free of debt. With the recent Leo price increase, I took some profits and clear up my debts and also pay rent for my apartment for a year. Bought a few LSTR tokens, and now starting with SURGE. The Leo tokens I have now, I am holding for long term.
I strongly believe that one can achieve financial freedom with these combination of Leo, Lstr and surge. It's just a matter of time, with Leostrategy buying Leo continuously, the scarcity effect of Leo could only results in one thing, which is a raise in value. And there you have Surge, where you can take your profits into and continue to earn yield dividend. It's just require some discipline and commitment for a few years, and you will be there.
I have an error with swaps in HE.. It says "transfer status: Expired". How long does it take to get back to my wallet? Or, should I contact them (bcz I'm not sure how)?
It's currently just a bot I'm testing. I think I had a brainfart earlier when I came up with the name for it. Turns out I need more than one account if I continue that way, but I'm thinking of just keeping that, and then use it for all the features, despite the not-so-smart name for a multifunction bot 😅
Interesting 1.0 SWAP.HIVE per LEO is a steal, in my experience. Market cycles show these dips don’t last long for utility tokens with strong ecosystems. Smart buy if you’re playing the long game
After reaching Champion League, I've fallen back to Diamond 1 with two days left in the season. This was expected, as I continued to play instead of stopping to maintain my rank.
My goal now is to try and climb back into Champion League. If not, ending in Diamond is still a good outcome, and I'll continue playing to earn rewards.
In the future, "Send wire" will sound as old-fashioned as "Send telegram." This allows agents to transfer money, understand intentions, and act at the speed of code.
🧵/1. All internet members who use the internet know the power of memes. It works like a cultural currency rather than just an entertaining & funny picture.

My bad for not being clear. I meant values like compassion and ethics in policymaking. They help balance animal welfare with other priorities like economics or public health.
BTC’s about to reach it’s cycle peak soon maybe in November, still some juice left in the Bull Run…& Alt coins have not begun their mega run yet… I bet that will be super exciting! Agree!! #crypto #Bitcoin
Totally with you on this! Bitcoin’s cycle peak around November fits historical patterns, and altcoins often lag before their big runs. That mega surge is always a wild ride—can’t wait to see which ones take off #crypto
Appreciate the link! That perspective aligns well with the cyclical nature of BTC. Altcoins could indeed steal the show soon after—always a thrilling phase in the market cycle
Interesting development with the Trump family accumulating BTC. Whales piling in often signals confidence in a coming surge. Could add fuel to this bull run for sure
Michael Sayler accumulating BTC through Microstratergy & holds 2% of circulating BTC. American Bitcoin competes in this race for more BTC accumulation to get powerful & wealthier, they can get fresh BTC as well with mining operations too!
Fascinating to see Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy holding 2% of circulating BTC. That kind of accumulation, alongside American Bitcoin's mining ops, could really shift power dynamics in the crypto space as whales keep stacking
Definitely, tracking ETF inflows and outflows is key. Recent data shows Bitcoin ETFs facing outflows, like $127M on Aug 29, while whales might still be using them to stack. It’s a mixed signal worth watching closely for market sentiment shifts
It would be amazing to incorporate standard content agencies while integrating specific SOPs, values, philosophies, and systems. This could greatly benefit the industry.

wow for Japanese crypto exchange, you have to provide reasoning and explanation of where the funds come from every time you send crypto from a self custody wallet. Is that standard practice everywhere?
🎉 Thank you for holding LSTR tokens!

hell no
Well I guess that’s Japan then. I tried to help my friend open an account to buy crypto and sent a small amount to them to test it but the money got locked until we apply to have the funds unlocked
sounds terrible

Today’s events make me more confident in both LeoStrategy and LeoDex
LeoDex is the future of the initial torque of our economy. Our core app
LeoStrategy will build financial tools and products that drive that torque with exponential impacts
Tomorrow, I’ll double my SURGE stack. It’s time to lean in on making LeoStrategy hyper successful
love it. TBH not sure what I did to get attacked but was told it was a backroom InLeo deal to circle jerk the hive rewards pool.
Like WTF. Can’t get my Leo moved to sLEO fast enough.
Today made me know we are heading the right direction
Excited to see LeoStrategy and LeoDex driving such powerful torque in the ecosystem! By 2030, these tools could 5x the impact of web3 economies. Doubling down on SURGE sounds like a game-changing move for exponential growth
This line is just superb. Leostrategy is bound to be successful as the foundation is very strong.

As a child, the biggest misconception was believing adults were intelligent. Adults can be incredibly foolish.
Days should speak and the multitude of years should teach wisdom but grey hair is not always reciprocal to intelligence
Exactly, wisdom isn't automatic. You've gotta actively seek it out, no matter your age. Doesn't just fall into your lap
Lol I can’t disagree. Grey hair is not reciprocal to wisdom.
Haha, exactly! Grey hair just means they've had more time to mess up, not necessarily learn from it.
True. Growing up makes you realize wisdom isn’t guaranteed with age, it’s a choice some make and others ignore.
#lifestyle
Yeah, exactly. Age just gives you more chances to learn, but plenty of people skip the lesson.
I’m so sick of everyone’s inability to be patient with each other, in politics, in crypto, in my community. But I’ll push myself to remain patient and not act or speak rashly.
I’ll be the fucking adult once again.
Totally, it's all about the long game. Solving real issues builds something lasting, while chasing quick gains usually fizzles out fast.
Absolutely. Most choose the later because it's the easiest way out. Solving real issues requires skill, determination patience and hard work. The bulk of us don't like the part of hard
Yeah, it's definitely the harder path. Takes a lot of grit to stick with solving real problems when quick wins are so tempting.
The richest In crypto are the one’s building the tools everyone else is using.
Totally, building the tools is where the real impact happens. Everyone else is just playing in the sandbox they created.
Less but better trades = more wins
Less stocks on your watchlist = more focus
Less risk per trade = more calmness
Less technical indicators = more signal clarity
In trading, less is more.
#Threads #inleo
Totally agree with the "less is more" mindset in trading. Overcomplicating with too many indicators or stocks often leads to analysis paralysis. Focus and simplicity have always yielded better results in my experience
Same here! I've built my strategy over the years around this simple rule, "Keep it simple" and it has left me profitable. The more you master the market the simpler your approach
Keeping it simple is the way to go. Over the years, I've noticed that stripping down to the essentials in strategy not only clarifies decisions but also boosts consistency in profits. Complexity often just clouds judgment
if we can’t communicate with each other to resolve problems and create some kind of understanding, we might as well give up all our freedom.
Exactly, freedom without communication and understanding is just chaos. Dialogue sustains freedom.
if you can’t keep calm and detach from your emotions, they will run you into the ground.
Your emotions are valid and need to be felt, but don’t let them influence your decisions until after you’ve processed them and made peace with them.
“Detached” may not be the right word…”objective” is more like it

#thoughts #growth
Fear, fear indeed cloaks ignorance, but curiosity is the blade that cuts through. When we embrace the unknown, we transform dread into discovery, forging growth from what once seemed a threat. True strength lies in seeking understanding over recoiling in shadow
Well put, understanding is the real antidote to fear.
Absolutely. Till date they’re people who have refused change and have chosen to remain in the past.

Part 1/12:
Part 2/12:
The Tank Museum, located in southwest England, stands as a testament to the development of armored vehicles. Legend has it that during World War I, Bovington was the site where British troops trained with the new, highly secretive weapon: the tank. Post-war, tanks were retrieved from battlefields around France and brought back to Bovington, where they became part of an informal collection. Over time, this collection grew into the world’s most comprehensive repository of armored vehicles, boasting over 300 tanks—including numerous First World War models—making it a crucial resource for historians and enthusiasts alike.
The Mark IV Tank: A First World War Icon
Part 3/12:
At the heart of the exhibition is the Mark IV, a genuine First World War tank that played a vital role in Britain’s armored efforts. With over a thousand units produced during the war, the Mark IV symbolizes the dawn of modern armored warfare. Today, Bovington’s Mark IV is believed to have served as a training vehicle, highlighting its importance in preparing crews for combat.
Design and Layout: The Male and Female Variants
Part 4/12:
The Crew and Interior Details
Part 5/12:
The Challenges of Life Inside
Part 6/12:
The conditions inside these early tanks were brutal. Accounts reveal that after extended periods of operation, the engine exhausts would become excessively hot, and no internal communication systems existed, forcing crews to rely on hand signals and loud verbal cues. The noise from the Daimler sleeve valve engine was deafening, and the atmosphere inside was often filled with fumes, leading to cases of carbon monoxide poisoning among crews.
The Powertrain and Mobility
The Engine
Part 7/12:
Armor and Defensive Capabilities
Part 8/12:
The armor on the Mark IV was a significant advancement over earlier models—roughly 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) thick. This level of protection could withstand small arms fire and some shell splinters but was vulnerable to larger artillery shells and specialized anti-tank weapons.
German tactics evolved during the war, using artillery and smaller, more mobile anti-tank guns to counter the British tanks. Efforts to defend these vehicles included hiding artillery near the front lines and developing submarine-like tactics, such as disguising guns on smaller wheels to approach tanks undetected.
Battlefield Tactics and Innovations
Part 9/12:
The presentation recounts innovative tactics like the use of fascines—bundles of brushwood or chains—placed ahead of advancing tanks to cross trenches. This approach, dating back to Roman times, was employed effectively during the Battle of Cambrai in 1917, allowing tanks to cross ditches and trenches more reliably.
Furthermore, the development of “bunker-busting” and anti-tank measures prompted ongoing adaptation and rapid technological improvements. The tanks of WWI, including the Mark IV, formed the foundation for future armored warfare strategies.
The Legacy and Evolution of Tanks
Part 10/12:
Despite the primitive technology, early tanks like the Mark IV revolutionized warfare, embodying how mechanics, engineering, and tactics combined to alter battlefield dynamics. Their design, based on massive, riveted steel plates and powered by petrol engines, set a precedent for future developments.
As the war progressed, tanks became faster, more reliable, and better armed. The experiences gleaned from these early models influenced countless innovations in armor, firepower, crew comfort, and operational tactics.
Conclusion: Why the Bovington Tank Museum Is a Must-Visit
Part 11/12:
Indy Neidell urges everyone, especially those planning a trip to England, to visit the Bovington Tank Museum. With its extensive collection—including hundreds of tanks spanning from WWI to WWII—it's an indispensable destination for history enthusiasts and military technology buffs. Walking among these relics provides a tangible connection to the past and enriches understanding of the transformative power of armored vehicles in warfare history.
Final Thoughts
Part 12/12:
The story of the tanks at Bovington is not just about military hardware; it’s about the courage and ingenuity of the crews who operated them under horrific conditions and the technological evolution that continues to shape modern warfare. Exploring such a rich collection offers insights into a pivotal period that changed how armies fought—and forever altered the nature of combat.

Crafted with wholesome components like hazelnut butter, frozen bananas, and chia seeds, this recipe provides a satisfying experience suitable for breakfast, a snack, or even a post-workout boost.
A Palette of Flavorful Ingredients
Part 2/6:
The foundation of this smoothie lies in its luxurious blend of natural flavors. Two tablespoons of hazelnut butter, or alternatively a quarter cup of roasted hazelnuts, serve as the creamy base, imparting a nutty richness. To bolster the nutritional profile, hemp seeds are included, providing essential fatty acids and protein.
Frozen bananas, used in the amount of two, lend a smooth, icy texture that mimics ice cream qualities without the need for added sugars. The inclusion of a quarter teaspoon of pure vanilla extract enhances the depth of flavor, adding a hint of sweetness and aroma.
Part 3/6:
For a chocolaty twist, two tablespoons of cocoa powder are incorporated, along with a dash of cinnamon and a pinch of salt, which amplify the flavor complexity and bring out the natural sweetness of the ingredients. The six small dates serve as natural sweeteners, contributing caramel-like richness.
The base liquid, 1.5 cups of soy milk, ensures the smoothie remains creamy and fluid for blending, while also adding extra protein.
The Blending Process and Texture Adjustments
Part 4/6:
The preparation begins by blending most ingredients until smooth. After initial blending, the dried dates are added to the mixture and pulsed briefly. This step allows the dates to integrate seamlessly, sweetening the smoothie naturally, but leaving some small chunks to add texture and bite.
Achieving the perfect consistency is key: do not blend excessively — some small pieces or 'lumps' should remain, offering a more interesting mouthfeel and visual appeal.

Part 1/10:
Part 2/10:
The process begins with cultivating a starter, a living mixture of wild yeast and bacteria that will ferment over time. The baker playfully compares this to caring for a pet, emphasizing that regular feeding and proper care will reward you with flavorful bread. The starter is named Christopher—a personal touch that makes the process more engaging.
Part 3/10:
To create the starter, equal parts whole wheat flour and warm water are whisked together in a tall, sealable jar. This mixture is left in a warm, draft-free spot for about 24 hours, during which it begins "sleeping," and later, slowly awakening. Daily feedings involve discarding most of the mixture and replenishing it with fresh flour and water, promoting yeast growth. The baker stresses patience, noting that a mature starter capable of leavening bread will typically develop around day 14.
Building a Leavon: A Supercharged Starter for the Final Loaf
Part 4/10:
Part 5/10:
Forging the Dough: Mixing, Folding, and Resting
Part 6/10:
After resting, the dough is gently pre-shaped into a round, creating taut tension on the surface—a key step for achieving a good crust. The baker guides viewers through a series of folding techniques, tuck-ins, and rolls, all aimed at building surface tension and forming a tight, well-shaped loaf.
Once shaped, the dough is placed into a proofing basket filled with rice flour, which prevents sticking. It then undergoes a long, cold proof in the refrigerator—about 16 hours—allowing slow fermentation that enhances flavor and texture.
Baking in a Dutch Oven: Creating Your Oven Spring
Part 7/10:
Part 8/10:
Once baked, the bread is allowed to cool slightly before slicing. It reveals a beautiful crumb—an open, airy interior speckled with irregular bubbles, testament to proper fermentation and shaping. The crust is crisp and golden, inviting the eager baker to indulge.
The fun doesn’t stop there. The baker suggests serving the bread toasted with generous butter, perhaps sprinkled with flaky sea salt, elevating its natural flavors. Toasting in a pan provides an unbeatable crust, demonstrating how simple techniques yield extraordinary results.
Making Homemade Butter: A Quick Finish
Part 9/10:
To enhance the bread experience, homemade butter is whipped from heavy cream using a stand mixer. It’s a quick process that involves spinning the cream until it separates into butter and buttermilk, which is then rinsed off. Fresh butter adds an indulgent touch, transforming the humble loaf into a decadent treat.
Final Reflection: Patience and Precision Pay Off
Part 10/10:

Part 1/13:
Mastering Homemade Pizza: A Step-by-Step Guide to Crafting Perfect, Restaurant-Quality Pizza at Home
Making pizza from scratch at home may seem intimidating, but with some patience, attention to detail, and a few key techniques, you can create a pizza that rivals your favorite restaurant. This guide distills the essential steps shared by a seasoned home baker into a comprehensive overview, highlighting how to make excellent dough, prepare flavorful sauce, select and handle cheese, stretch and shape your dough perfectly, and bake it to perfection.
The Art of Pizza Dough: Patience and Technique
Part 2/13:
Part 3/13:
Once mixed for a few minutes, the dough is transferred to a lightly oiled plastic container for proofing. The baker prefers proving in a plastic container over metal, as metal can inhibit fermentation. The dough is left to rest at room temperature for 24 hours, then refrigerated for an additional 1-2 days. This extended fermentation enhances flavor, develops gluten, and gives the crust a desirable chewiness.
Portioning and Shaping: Achieving Uniform Dough Balls
Part 4/13:
Part 5/13:
Selecting and Handling Cheese for Melty Goodness
Part 6/13:
Cheese selection significantly impacts the final pizza. The classic choice is mozzarella, preferably low moisture to prevent excessive wateriness during baking. The baker emphasizes grating cheese fresh from a cold block—avoiding pre-grated varieties that contain anti-caking agents, which hinder melting.
Fontina is added for its smooth melt and mild, nutty flavor, grated or sliced into thin strands, to provide both flavor and texture contrast. The emphasis on precision and thoughtful layering of cheese ensures every bite is rich, gooey, and satisfying.
Stretching and Shaping Dough: The Graceful Art
Part 7/13:
Assembling Your Pizza: Less Is More
Part 8/13:
The key to an excellent pizza is balancing toppings—less is more. A thin layer of sauce spread evenly toward the edge, topped with a modest amount of cheese, allows ingredients to melt properly and develop flavor during baking.
Adding olive oil around the edges of the crust, sometimes seasoned with seasonings like everything bagel spice for extra flavor, enhances aroma and crunch. Avoid overloading; your goal is a harmonious layering where each ingredient can shine.
Baking: Creating High-Temperature Magic at Home
Part 9/13:
The baker’s goal is to mimic a professional pizza oven by heating the home oven to its maximum—around 550°F—using pizza stones or baking steels to simulate the intense heat. Preheating these stones ensures quick, even heat transfer to the dough, creating that desirable crispy crust.
Launching the pizza onto the hot surface involves a confident slide with the pizza peel. The baker stresses the importance of shaking and spinning the pizza during baking to achieve even coloring and prevent hot spots, especially in home ovens where heat distribution varies.
Part 10/13:
Baking time depends on oven temperament but generally ranges from a few minutes, with frequent rotation to ensure uniform cooking. The goal is to achieve "leopard spots"—those dark, crisp patches on the crust—and a bubbling, lightly browned cheese topping.
The Final Touch: Butter and Presentation
For the finishing touch, brushing the crust with melted butter adds flavor, shine, and a touch of nuttiness, elevating the appearance and taste. Some opt for browned butter for added depth. The resultant crust is golden, glossy, and flavorful.
Part 11/13:
Once baked, resting the pizza briefly on a wire rack prevents sogginess, then slicing and serving will reveal the perfect cross-section—air bubbles, well-distributed cheese, and a crisp crust. The baker demonstrates that even in home conditions, careful technique and patience yield exceptional results.
Continuous Improvement: Making Better Pizzas with Each Attempt
The process thrives on iteration. The baker admits that the second pizza is generally better than the first due to experience gained in shaping, topping, and baking. The third is often their best, with improvements in shape, color, and flavor.
Part 12/13:
Part 13/13:

Part 2/11:
The Bristol Scout is an aircraft often overlooked in popular history, but its importance cannot be overstated. Designed just prior to the outbreak of World War I, it first flew in February 1914, marking a significant milestone in British aviation. Notably, it was one of two aircraft considered to be the best in the world at the time, surpassing the French aircraft that had dominated the aerial scene.
Part 3/11:
Part 4/11:
Part 5/11:
Bremner explains that the plane's design was intended for high speed and agility, which allowed its pilots to perform combat maneuvers that earlier aircraft couldn't manage. Early attempts to arm the Scout involved manually aiming machine guns mounted on the aircraft, as synchronization gear for firing through the propeller was unreliable at that time. Notably, legendary WWI ace Alfred "Elly" Hawker achieved notable success in a Bristol Scout using a Lewis gun mounted to fire sideways, a method that avoided synchronization issues but presented its own difficulties.
Part 6/11:
The aircraft used a rotary engine — an innovative design for the period — that provided good power and efficiency. Bremner highlights that, although this engine configuration resulted in some handling quirks, such as pull-to-one-side during certain maneuvers, it was a significant technological advancement that made flying practical and effective in 1914.
Personal Tales from the Trenches
Part 7/11:
Part 8/11:
The Rebuilding and Preservation Process
Flying the Historic Plane
Part 9/11:
Broader Impact and Legacy
Part 10/11:
Part 11/11:

Russia’s Internal Political Chaos
Part 2/14:
On August 25-28, in Moscow, a significant gathering took place, drawing nearly 2,500 influential figures including aristocrats, capitalists, military generals, Mensheviks, Cossacks, and socialist revolutionaries. This assembly aimed to plot against the Bolsheviks, calling for the abolition of Soviet power, the dismantling of socialist military structures, and continued participation in the war until its final resolution.
Part 3/14:
The Growing Clashes and Public Discontent
Part 4/14:
On the same day, a one-day strike broke out in Moscow involving approximately 400,000 workers, highlighting widespread unrest. The Bolsheviks accused the Moscow meeting of conspiracy against the common people, intensifying the political polarization. Kornilov, after this congress, proposed various plans to strengthen government authority and suppress revolutionary elements. He met with wealthy Russian elites on a train, seeking their material and economic support to undertake a military occupation of Petrograd.
Part 5/14:
Kornilov claimed that he had the support of Kérensky and was prepared to lead a military crackdown to restore order, emphasizing that a complete military dictatorship was essential for Russia’s survival, especially amid signs of German advances into Latvia and the threat of the city’s fall.
The Fragmentation of Russia’s Military and Government
Part 6/14:
Part 7/14:
Furthermore, the Black Sea Fleet attempted to navigate the Bosporus Strait in July but was met with minimal engagement before withdrawing. Despite some cold boldness—such as the failed assault on Odessa—the overall morale within the fleet was deteriorating rapidly, with the sailors losing their fighting spirit.
Russian Military Campaigns and the Lost Ambitions
Part 8/14:
Part 9/14:
The High Caucasus and Other Theaters
Part 10/14:
Diplomatic Contacts and Secret Negotiations
A noteworthy development in the summer was a covert meeting in Switzerland between British arms dealer Basil Zaharoff and Ottoman Defense Minister Enver Pasha. Zaharoff offered $1.5 million in gold to facilitate negotiations between the Ottomans and the Allies, proposing Turkey betray the Central Powers and join the Allies. Pasha, tempted by the bribe, ultimately rejected the offer, maintaining loyalty to the Ottoman-German alliance.
The Deteriorating Situation and Key Incidents
Part 11/14:
Reflection and the Path Ahead
Part 12/14:
As the week concluded, Russia's internal political chaos deepened, with factions vying for control amid fears of an imminent military collapse. The Black Sea Fleet's morale was shattered, and on multiple fronts, physical battles raged with varying success. Meanwhile, secret negotiations indicated potential shifts in alliances, though nothing concrete was achieved.
Final Thoughts
Part 13/14:

Engaging Content Creation and Editing
Part 2/14:
Part 3/14:
Part 4/14:
The train, considered a "beast" among combat vehicles, was pivotal because it represented a lifeline for supply chains on the Eastern Front—something you couldn’t simply destroy without jeopardizing your own logistics. The trailer also highlights the typical Scandinavian-style wooden barriers along the coastline, particularly on the Baltic shores like Estonia.
Aerial Warfare: The Ilya-Muroometz Bombers
Part 5/14:
Photorealistic depictions of "Ilya-Muroometz" heavy bombers soar through clouds, showcasing Russia’s early dominance in aerial combat with four-engine aircraft capable of carrying up to 0.8 tons of bombs (about 1800 pounds). These aircraft could accommodate 16 personnel, including crew and a bathroom, emphasizing their role as the precursor to modern "flying fortress" concepts and the earliest aircraft with fully enclosed cockpits.
Modern Warfare Elements: The "Putilov-Gaford" Armored Car
Part 6/14:
On the ground, we see the "Putilov-Gaford" armored car—more like a truck than a tank—serving primarily on the Eastern Front, especially in Ukraine. Despite its looks, it mounted a 76mm mountain gun and machine guns, and was vital for special operations. However, due to modest engine power, its maximum speed was only about 10 miles per hour (16 km/h), making it slow but effective in reconnaissance.
The Battlefield: The Galician Campaign
Part 7/14:
The scene transitions to the brutal battles in Galicia, where Russian and Austro-Hungarian forces suffered heavy losses. Cavalry units, including Cossacks and Kirks, are shown charging with traditional helmets like the "Papakh", indicating their Caucasus origins. Cavalry units played a crucial role in early reconnaissance and surprise tactics, supporting armored trains and other mechanized units.
The presentation notes the use of Chinese-designed Liu General rifles, highlighting the global nature of the war effort, with China providing weaponry and labor.
The Russian Contribution and Chinese Presence
Part 8/14:
During WWI, China had substantial involvement, including labor conscripts and troops, especially in port cities like Qingdao. The complex political and military situation led to various chaos and shifting alliances, which are briefly referenced. Interestingly, in the trailers, a MG 14/17, a lightweight machine gun, is depicted—an evolution of the MG 08, optimized for aircraft, with a rapid firing rate of 700 rounds per minute but prone to overheating due to its water-cooling system being removed.
French Perspectives: Trench Warfare and Heavy Artillery
Part 9/14:
Part 10/14:
Poets and Propaganda: The Spirit of the War
Part 11/14:
A poetic interlude features Plyvoart Boudryk's famous WWI poem, capturing the chaos of artillery battles with onomatopoeic "Boom Boom Boom" sounds, emphasizing the relentless intensity of the conflict.
The propaganda phrases like "Oath to defend" and iconic imagery such as soldiers amidst smoke and destruction reinforce the collective morale and glorification of sacrifice, particularly highlighting the "Battle of Verdun" as a symbol of unyielding French resilience.
The Battle of Verdun: The "Oath to Defend"
Part 12/14:
Evolution of Modern Infantry Tactics
Part 13/14:
Part 14/14:

A Fragile Start: Early Life and Dreams
Part 2/12:
Born on Christmas Eve in 1894 in Compiégne, France, Georges Guynemer’s childhood was marked by frailty. His parents, Paul Guynemer and Julie, Countess of Saint-Quentin, came from a family with a rich history, boasting ancestors who served under Charlemagne, signed treaties ending significant conflicts, and held judicial prominence during the French Revolution. Despite his family's prominence, young Georges was often sickly and delicate, which seemed to cast doubt on any physically demanding pursuits.
Part 3/12:
Nevertheless, Guynemer showed cerebral agility, quick reflexes, and strategic wit, traits that earned him a place at Stanislaus Military College at age 12. By 15, he had earned a degree and aspired to attend the École Polytechnique, driven by a fascination with machines and the nascent era of powered flight. His early love for aviation was cemented in 1910 when he secretly flew for the first time, a bold move that underscored his passion despite his physical limitations.
Breaking into the Skies amid War
Part 4/12:
When World War I broke out, Guynemer faced rejection due to his frailty—he was unable to enlist directly—yet his determination remained unshaken. After five unsuccessful attempts, he finally entered as a student mechanic, persuading officials to accept his utility in maintaining aircraft. By January 1915, he became a student pilot, flying an observation plane, a Morane-Saulnier.
Part 5/12:
Part 6/12:
Rising to Heroic Heights
Guynemer’s aggressive combat tactics—closely engaging enemy aircraft—earned him increasing success. In March 1916, he was transferred to Verdun, then the war’s most brutal front. Despite being wounded—shot in the face and left arm—he refused to leave the fight and recovered near his family home, with his sister Yvonne monitoring the weather to help him take off for combat whenever conditions allowed.
Part 7/12:
Part 8/12:
Peak and Tragedy: Guynemer’s Final Missions
The Mysterious Disappearance and Death
Part 9/12:
Initial reports from comrades painted a heroic but tragic picture. A fellow pilot recounted that Guynemer engaged multiple enemy aircraft, including the famed and formidable Jagdstaffel 11 under Baron von Richthofen, the "Red Baron." Accounts described him as being "hit" and that his plane veered away gently, but was not on fire, leading to various theories about his fate.
Part 10/12:
Contradicting some of these stories, aviation expert analysis debunked the heroic narrative. It was established that Guynemer was last seen attacking a two-seater, not a squadron of fighters, and that his plane’s markings did not match those of the German "Circus" Jasta 11, which was engaged in aerial battles over Britain at that time. Belgian ace Willy Coppens confirmed that Guynemer had been caught in typical combat, and in 1976, Coppens stated Guynemer was engaged elsewhere, not in the infamous jasta fight.
Part 11/12:
Part 12/12:

The Capture of Riga: A Strategic Breakthrough
Part 2/14:
Part 3/14:
The offensive began at dawn on September 1, with the artillery fire obliterating Russian artillery positions and causing a mass retreat driven by fear. The attack incorporated specialized assault teams equipped with light machine guns, grenades, and flamethrowers, who bypassed main defenses to strike at artillery and command posts. Water obstacles necessitated amphibious training and the construction of floating bridges, enabling assault crossings.
Part 4/14:
By 8:30 AM, the Russian defenses had crumbled, and the Germans crossed the Daugava River, quickly establishing control of Riga, approximately 30 kilometers northeast of the city. The victory was swift and decisive, with Russian forces retreating and preparing to establish new defensive lines further east. The fall of Riga marked a significant loss in the Baltic region for the Russians, representing a strategic blow at a pivotal port city.
Political Turmoil in Russia and the Impact on the War
Part 5/14:
Meanwhile, in Russia, the political situation was precarious. The Bolshevik movement was gaining momentum, with reports indicating that many military officers and government officials preferred surrender to the Germans rather than continue fighting. Army Commander Lavr Kornilov organized a meeting with 4,000 officers, vowing to hang Bolshevik revolutionaries—reflecting the internal conflict within the Russian military and government.
Part 6/14:
Prime Minister Alexander Kerensky visited the frontlines, promising to establish a military dictatorship to stabilize Russia. Kornilov, however, demanded Kerensky's resignation, asserting that such a government was ineffective. Kerensky initially believed they had an agreement, but tension quickly arose when Kornilov refused to send cavalry troops to Petrograd, leading to chaos and internal discord. By the week's end, Russia remained in turmoil, with no clear resolution in sight.
French Political and Military Instability
Part 7/14:
Part 8/14:
The Italian Campaign saw fierce fighting around Bainsizza Plateau and the Sgurgola Mountains, especially during the 11th Isonzo River Battle. Italian forces launched a daring assault on September 3, executing a three-pronged attack that overwhelmed Austro-Hungarian defenses within an hour. The London Times praised the tactical brilliance, noting that Italian troops managed to seize key mountain peaks and strategic positions, capturing significant amounts of weapons and supplies abandoned by retreating Austrians.
Part 9/14:
Naval Warfare and the U-Boat Threat
Part 10/14:
In response to intensified German U-boat activity, the Allied navies advanced their convoy system—organizing ships into tightly packed groups protected by destroyers and deep-water bombs. This strategy aimed to mitigate losses and was proving effective: by the end of the month, 83 convoys comprising over 1,300 vessels had successfully reached Britain, with only 18 ships lost—mainly those that separated from the convoy system. German U-boat kills increased when ships ventured alone or were vulnerable, prompting the Allies to tighten their maritime defenses and reduce shipping casualties.
Aerial and Air Raid Campaigns
Part 11/14:
Air warfare saw escalating German assaults against Britain. On September 3, six German aircraft bombed Scherliness, causing 132 casualties and injuries. The next day, London and southeastern rural areas endured an air raid that resulted in 19 deaths and 71 wounded—marking some of the earliest significant aerial attacks on Britain. Sadly, American soldiers also suffered, with four U.S. troops killed during a German airstrike on a French hospital—representing the first American military casualties on the Western Front.
American Entry and Military Preparations
Part 12/14:
Part 13/14:
This tumultuous week underscored the multifaceted nature of the war—set against the backdrop of territorial conquests, political upheavals, and relentless fighting across continents. The fall of Riga signifies a troubling progression for Russia, with fears mounting over the possibility of further territorial losses and the potential fall of Petrograd. Meanwhile, the stalemates and small-scale battles in Italy and the Western Front continue unabated.
Part 14/14:
The conflicting reports on Romania’s campaign, the strategic shift in naval warfare, and the unsettling increase in aerial assaults collectively paint a picture of a war that is intensifying and evolving. As Russian internal chaos looms and Germany presses forward, the global conflict moves into a period of uncertain outcomes. The resilience of the Allied forces, especially the emergence of the American military presence, remains vital in shaping the war's trajectory.
Stay tuned for more updates as the war continues to unfold on the global stage. For further insights into anti-U-boat strategies and other detailed analyses, check out our special feature links.

Part 1/12:
Exploring Stole Mary's Aerodrome: A Unique Insight into World War I Aviation
In an engaging visit to Essex, England, Indy Neidell takes viewers on a journey through the historic Stole Mary's Aerodrome, one of the most well-preserved World War I airfields in Europe. Guided by Rory Kirkby, a veteran researcher and volunteer at the site, the episode unveils the rich history, strategic importance, and ongoing restoration efforts of this remarkable site that played a vital role in early 20th-century aerial warfare.
The Origins and Strategic Significance
Part 2/12:
Founded in 1916 by the Royal Flying Corps, Stole Mary's Aerodrome was established as a defensive stronghold against German Zeppelin and bomber raids, especially over the Thames Estuary. The location was deliberately chosen because of the nearby River Crouch, which the Germans used for navigation towards London, making it an ideal point for intercepting enemy aircraft.
Part 3/12:
During its operational years, the aerodrome was primarily tasked with defending Britain’s eastern approaches, although Zeppelin raids proved notoriously difficult to shoot down at the time. This difficulty was compounded by the fact that incendiary bullets had not yet been developed, and many raids happened under cover of darkness, making visual identification and targeting especially challenging for pilots operating in the 1916-1919 period.
The End of Active Service and Post-War Use
Part 4/12:
The aerodrome remained active until 1919, shortly after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, which marked the end of hostilities. During this interlude, the airfield’s buildings were requisitioned from local farmers, who chose to keep and repurpose them for storage rather than demolish them—a decision that contributed to the site’s exceptional preservation. Today, Stole Mary's is considered the most complete surviving WWI aerodrome in Europe.
Restoration and Heritage Preservation
Part 5/12:
Key Structures and Their Roles
The Headquarters
Part 6/12:
The main headquarters building was where administrative functions and communications took place and served as the nerve center of operations. Nearby, the enlisted men and officers had separate accommodations, with officers enjoying more privacy and comfort, including individual rooms connected by corridors.
Living Quarters and Support Facilities
Part 7/12:
Women’s Quarters: A dedicated building housed women who performed essential tasks such as cooking and cleaning, often riding motorcycles—a forward-thinking mode of transportation for women at the time—and played a role in the broader empowerment movement of the era.
NCOs Barracks: Non-commissioned officers, including sergeants and petty officers, lived and worked here, some of them serving as spotters and observers.
Air Operations and Engineering
Part 8/12:
Maintenance and Repair: The engine workshops, blacksmith’s shop, and "dope workshop"—where aircraft wings were covered with toxic chemicals—underscore the intensive maintenance required to keep the aircraft operational amid their fragile build.
Fuel Storage and Safety Measures: The fuel store was deliberately left open to allow explosions to vent upwards, a safety measure that unfortunately left the storage vulnerable to weather.
Memorials and Commemorations
Part 9/12:
Connection with the Local Community
Part 10/12:
Visiting Today
Part 11/12:
Located just a short drive or flight from London and near Stansted Airport, the aerodrome is accessible to history enthusiasts, schools, and tourists eager to connect with Britain’s wartime aviation heritage. As restoration continues, visitors can witness part of history preserved for future generations.
For those interested in the broader story of WWI aviation, episodes like "Bloody April" are available, offering deeper insights into the trials and innovations that shaped modern air warfare.
Part 12/12:
In summary, Stole Mary's Aerodrome is more than just a relic; it is a living homage to the brave men and women who helped pioneer aerial combat. Through careful restoration and community effort, this site continues to educate and inspire, illuminating a vital chapter of military history that changed the way nations wage war forever.

Good morning LEO people
A warm good morning to ya.
Good Morning!!
Morning man
Have been away for a while I needed to check in on $LEO. How is the market doing man?
It depends on how you left the market the last time. There's been over 500% price appreciation for Leo.
Ok let's say I have seen that already. Have been away for just 18 hours😊
You had me in the first half. Thought you've gone for like months...
Naaa!! 😂😂
$LEO is holding strong amid market volatility. Recent data shows it outperforming many exchange tokens, with a current price around $8.59. Recovery tied to bullish sentiment and limited supply. Keep an eye on regulatory updates impacting exchanges
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Don't worry! I understand 😊😊
$LEO is on sale in my mind.
Ooh! I see

$LEO
🤔
Simple, more sellers than buyers
🤔
What am i missing that you seem to know about the difference of those two price displays? 👀
nothing, it is simple, if you have more sellers than buyers, it puts downward pressure on price. Economics 101
that’s not what i‘m asking and it doesn‘t answer why the two show different values 🤔
Sorry , oh I get it now. Bad coding in the script. lol
different sources maybe?

not worrying, i’m wondering where the two prices are fetched from to end up being so different?
Can I ask a favour of you?
Would you try and send 1 $LEO to leotip.bot and use the command !leotip amount ? Amount can be decimal value.
It's a bot I'm currently creating and testing
sending is nothing that needs testing or does it check who wrote the command and only tips what i „deposited“?! 🤔
It can only tip what is deposited. Not sure I can make it so that you can send directly from your own wallet. It could easily compromise keys, if it's even possible, I guess.
i saw that you already deposited 1 LEO, so let‘s see if i can tip now … !leotip.bot 0.1 👀
It can't. There's a database file connected to keep track of who has deposited what and how much is left of their deposit.
And also, the comments has to start with !leotip
Few details I'll be correcting before proper use
ah ok, that‘s what i was wondering. So ME can only tip what ME has deposited to the bot, ok. But i could just send funds directly without detour. Do you have a certain usecase in mind?
Currently just testing actually 😆
Down the road I have a few ideas.
inleo ui throws errors when i try opening the wallet page 🙄

I have tried the coca wallet already but I don't want to KYC ^^' So it's not for me. I don't want to write every cashback myself in my tax formular. That's why I have a spending account where I get 1% cashback in BTC. I hope I can so accumulate at least 100k sats a year. I started this month but I will only get like 800 sats or so. Will keep you updated when I get the cashback credited in my account :D
Wait... what?! What account is that?
As for the taxes... Well, I don't file it 🤣 Might not be the smartest move ever, but honestly I don't really care
yeah I don't want the get fucked by the gov xD So I try everything that is KYCed to be ok.
What about a bank account in Switzerland? 😎
!BBH
Let's talk about it when I have invested a 6-digit sum in crypto or my portfolio has reached that value ;)
You can get a free bank account there though 😉
I've got it. Also a digital card to use.
Only the card and (maybe) bank require KYC. The non-custodial wallet that is tied to it is non-kyc (obviously) 💪🏼
You can try this https://cashbackmedvisa.dk/ or https://mycashbacks.com
But sadly with these you can't invest directly in BTC. But every Satoshi counts ;)
I'm already using the danish cashback thing. But they don't pay satoshi - and tehre's a minimum payout of 100 DKK. And not all places give cashback. It feels like some kind of setup to control where people spend their money.
New research indicates that people inhale over 70,000 microplastic particles each day.

One Million dollars question? Can #leo, #lstr and #surge make one debt or financially free... Best answer gets a reward...
Yes
I absolutely believe so!!
But... it depends on the level of debt and also how much funds you can put into the assets
its a trick question.
Depending on the investment and the growth of the tokens. There is a possibility that one can clear his/her debts and get a decent living.
Financially free, not very sure though
I think its quite possible but we need to give it sometime as the real effect is yet to come.
OK. Now !vote
Short answer: yes
DCA weekly, reinvest all yield. Split something like 50% LEO / 30% LSTR / 20% SURGE. Harvest green days into SURGE; redeploy fear back into LEO/LSTR. Give it 24–36 months.
Alone the pre sale of SURGE with the discount will make a good amount. Deflationary LEO will rise no matter what and LSTR just completes the trio.
It's like the musketeers of crypto.

I do believe it can.
The real question for me is should I take on debt to get even MOAR $LEO and later pay it off with the profits!? 😜

I prefer Hive-Engine interface. But, yeah... I guess, I just have to wait.
Oh, there is LEO tip bot now? How does that work?
It's currently just a bot I'm testing. I think I had a brainfart earlier when I came up with the name for it. Turns out I need more than one account if I continue that way, but I'm thinking of just keeping that, and then use it for all the features, despite the not-so-smart name for a multifunction bot 😅
Ok.. I had no idea. It feels like I'm joining the conversation in the middle. lol
The naming doesn't matter that much at the end of the day..
That's true, but "leotip.bot" is like very specific.
And I know you had no idea, I'm just testing at random 😆
!BBH
So, you've made this bot?
That's cool. But, tipping in a deflationary token is going to be a challenge.
The tipping part was mostly for test.
It works by depositing own tokens first though.
I have a lot of ideas for bots, but some of the ideas are just way beyond what I can fit into a bot.. at least for now 😆
Well, I think that other bots are tipping from a newly generated tokens. But, as I understood with this one, it tips from your own deposited tokens.
Good initiative though,

in reality, we are in bear season. because time is already over.
Alt-real season will change this time.
"The importance of these values isn't theoretical. They enable animal welfare to be prioritized alongside other key policies."
Bad bot. What values?
Yup... you summed up logic solids... https://x.com/crypto_birb/status/1959992886688165949
Appreciate the link! That perspective aligns well with the cyclical nature of BTC. Altcoins could indeed steal the show soon after—always a thrilling phase in the market cycle
Whales are on accumulating $BTC including Trump family too - https://beincrypto.com/abtc-nasdaq-political-spotlight-crypto-mining-sector/ Leverage BTC to get wealthier & powerful!
Yeah... Bitcoin ETFs already good vehecle for whales to buy BItcoin and they are I guess... its impt to watch these EtFs inflows and outflows...
Definitely, tracking ETF inflows and outflows is key. Recent data shows Bitcoin ETFs facing outflows, like $127M on Aug 29, while whales might still be using them to stack. It’s a mixed signal worth watching closely for market sentiment shifts
Those alerts are a really nice idea. I am really impressed to see this.

Morning my friend :)
Hey... good morning. What's up?
!BBH
Watching live feed of possible rocket launch here in Newfoundland today. You? !BBH
Are you still in bed and have a morning wood? 😂
I saw your thread about the rocket. Is it far away from where you live?
Ya, on other side of Newfoundland, on east coast, I am on west coast.
Here?

St. Lawerence, N.L.
oh? A nice little island?
;)
It would be amazing to incorporate standard content agencies while integrating specific SOPs, values, philosophies, and systems. This could greatly benefit the industry.
I love to see how people talk random crypto shit predicting we are still in a bull or bear market. You have to listen to these professionals. 🥳

I am zErO professional trader...
Made some CRO profits due to TRUMP stuff...
Nice... profits are always good.
Trading isn't for everyone and it's also not necessary. I traded a bit in the beginning and noticed it's not for me. I'm an investor.
!BBH
I can do both ... but don't have the time most of the time.
It's mostly "having fun" with peanuts... stuff. And forecasting the future tech...
Like I have to do with IRL stuff on IT.
Bigger games is harder, because of volume. And because I am not rich.
Even if I would, it would not be the point, right? we want the community to grow, otherwise what's the point of a new technology.
Haha, the "experts" always have the loudest predictions! Truth is, no one can time these markets perfectly. Historically, sentiment swings like this signal choppy waters—best to focus on long-term strategies over daily noise
Yes, long term strategies will already kill most of the random tokens and meme coins to be even considered.
!BBH
Spot on. Long-term focus weeds out the noise and the junk projects. Sticking to fundamentals over hype has always been the safer bet in my experience
I followed the hype in the beginning when there were thousand of airdrops and I wanted to be involved in everything. That was very stressful. I made some money and lost some money. Nowadays I don't hunt any airdrops.
!BBH
I get that. Chasing every airdrop can be a rollercoaster—stressful and hit-or-miss. I've found focusing on a few solid projects beats spreading yourself thin across hype any day

Earning more $LEO thanks to weak hands. Always keep in mind that the Leo is deflationary. 🔥
1/ There’s some good US Government does under President Trump – their decision to put US Economic Data on #Blockchain for all to view is one. It makes information transparent, which is vital for a Democratic Country!

I am just happy people using beeswap :D
Yeah, I prefer beeswap.
!BBH
HA mode if you need, you have tribaldex where you can also point (like beeswap) to a specific HE node.
What does HA mode mean?
High Availability (meaning you are trying to have a backup solution)...
I have infinite ones because I know how to broadcast without needing an interface like these. But the point is I need to show people that even if you don't know about how to do it, you still have 2 options (at least).
hm... okay
Individuals who are not accustomed to being directed in their profession often perceive your disrespect as inattentive or insensitive.
This suggests a lack of awareness of the social dynamics or understanding of whom you're interacting with, potentially indicating a deficit in social acumen.
This behavior seems to stem from a habit of being casually disrespectful.
Yes, respect and social awareness go hand in hand. Without them, even good intentions can come off as arrogance.
True respect is a mirror of inner awareness. Without it, even the noblest intent can be cloaked in the shadow of arrogance, blinding one to the subtle dance of human connection.

What's different?
The amount of ATX?
yep... 3rd ATX distribution has happened... and 50k ATX has been added into the ATX:SWAP.HIVE pool rewards.

Choosing a PhD lab = choosing a future. Prioritize supportive mentors. A poor advisor costs years; passion alone won’t fix that.

Totally get this. Choosing the right mentor is like picking a solid investment—poor choices compound into major losses over time. Passion won't cover bad guidance. Gotta prioritize long-term fit over short-term excitement
President #Trump makes buzz with crypto, tariffs, Bitcoin, trump coin, global news… he is a sensation. It’s interesting how he’s carrying forward pro-web3 legislation to satisfy American crypto company political donors (: #web3
Breaking: President Trump just signed crypto-friendly legislation on 2025-08-29 to curb regulations and boost U.S. leadership in digital assets. This follows his January 23 Executive Order for regulatory reform. Major win for web3 innovation 🇺🇸
What were the major points of the legislation?
Yeah...launch of American Bitcoin, #Bitcoin mining company controlled by #Trump Jr, Eric Trump. Accumulate loads of Bitcoin & overtake Michael Saylor's record with Microstratergy to become weathier & powerful with BTCs! #news #crypto $BTC
American Bitcoin?
I am not sure what that means.
Ohh...sorry. That's a Bitcoin Mining owned by Eric Trump - https://beincrypto.com/abtc-nasdaq-political-spotlight-crypto-mining-sector/ @taskmaster4450le
It means BTC accumulation by rich & powerful!
Major points of the legislation include curbing excessive regulations, promoting U.S. leadership in digital assets, and providing a clearer framework for crypto innovation. A significant step to support web3 growth 🇺🇸
I dont think Web3 comes from government. It is something that individuals need to embrace.
Web3 is often nothing more than centralized applications or protocols masked as Web3.
Agreed, Web3's roots are with individuals, not government. True decentralization often gets masked by centralized apps posing as Web3. Still, regulatory clarity can help genuine innovation scale faster 🇺🇸
hee...hee... Trump's become smart at using crypto to get richer and wealthier (: ...loved your breaking news bulletin @guruzg
You can't really blame people who are selling their crypto, they are already in profits on their investments plus the market is free for everyone to do what they like.
Everyone’s playing a different game on a different timeline. Taking profit isn’t betrayal, it’s risk management.
Sellers provide the liquidity builders accumulate with, ecosystems need both sides.
Right... At some point you have to realize profits. It's a free world and everyone can do whatever he wants with his crypto.
Right, that's why I don't usually feels bad when prices are going down.
Same here. 🙂
