#Newfoundland burning.

Another wildfire has ignited in Newfoundland — this one on the Burin Peninsula.

Provincial fire duty officer Mark Lawlor said the fire is burning in Red Harbour, about 20 kilometres north of Marystown.

In a social media post, the Marystown Volunteer Fire Department said they're responding to the fire alongside the Baine Harbour Fire Department, forestry workers and multiple other agencies.

This is the 4th going on at this time. Link in comment for full article.

Not exactly relevant today. That was when Jesse Livermore was trading on the Bucket Shops which operated more like a prediction market. The Bucket Shop operator was like the bookie offer people bets on different stocks with massive leverage. Clients of the Bucket Shops never actually purchased shares of companies. The quote is accurate for a bookie type market where the casino always wins.

avatar

You never realize the gains from bitcoin buy selling. If you need value from BTC for expenses you borrow against your bitcoin. Then when you die you pass that bitcoin to heirs which in many places gets a step up in cost basis based on the price at death. Then your heirs can sell the btc for small or no realized gain pay off the loan and then do as they please.

Part 1/12:

The Turning Tides of World War I: A Weekly Recap of Battles and Fronts

Introduction

Since the pivotal Battle of Tannenberg in 1914 and the devastating Austro-Hungarian campaigns that followed, Russia has endured relentless and catastrophic setbacks. The war has cost Russia vast swaths of territory—thousands of miles—and the lives of hundreds of thousands of soldiers. Despite a disastrous spring offensive this year, which led many Allied generals to believe Russia had run out of momentum, recent events suggest otherwise. The tides of war are shifting, and the frontlines are once again quivering with renewed activity and unforeseen victories.

I’m Indy Neidell, and this is the Great War Channel.

The Western Front: Verdun's Siege Continues

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 2/12:

The recent week in the Western Front revolved around the ongoing Battle of Verdun, where German forces managed to seize the fortress after months of brutal fighting. French soldiers endured ghastly conditions in underground tunnels, war trenches filled with the stench of rotting corpses. Their last days in the fortress were marked by relentless artillery bombardments and poison gas attacks, which led to severe dehydration—only 12 gallons of water remained inside the fort, and 600 survivors were taken prisoner.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 3/12:

French commander Sylvain Reynal's grim account paints a vivid picture of despair—soldiers exhausted, vomiting, even drinking their urine, and collapsing in the tunnels. His final message before surrendering at 6 a.m. marked the end of nearly three months of stalwart defense. The fall of Verdun, while significant, marked the closing of one chapter in the war and the beginning of a new, broader conflict on the Eastern Front.

Russia’s Resurgence: The Brusilov Offensive

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 4/12:

Contrary to the pessimistic assessments following their earlier failures, Russia has surged forward under the leadership of General Alexei Brusilov. Recognizing the possibility of defeating Austria-Hungary, Brusilov devised an innovative and coordinated assault strategy. Unlike previous attacks on narrow front lines, he proposed massed pressure along extensive sections of the front, aiming to push the enemy backwards and avoid the use of large reserves.

On June 4th, 1916, at dawn, Brusilov launched his audacious Offensive. Over 1,938 artillery pieces opened fire, targeting Austrian positions from the marshes of Prypiat to Bukovina. The plan was meticulous: Russian forces to attack simultaneously across wide sectors, with reserve units prepared to counter any breakthroughs.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 5/12:

The initial assault did not deliver immediate breakthroughs but succeeded in crippling Austrian defenses—destroying trenches, disrupting communication lines, and creating chaos. Russian tanks appeared for the first time along the front, facilitating advances especially along the Ternopil-Lutsk corridor. By evening, Russian troops advanced rapidly, capturing key positions and seizing thousands of prisoners. Despite stiff resistance, the Russian advance continued for days, with an astonishing frontline gain of nearly 30 kilometers by the end of the week.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 6/12:

The Austrian and German contingents, outnumbered and overwhelmed, gradually retreated in disarray. Key battles near Lutsk saw entire Austrian divisions, including the 7th Hungarian Infantry, disintegrate, leading to mass surrender, with over 65,000 prisoners taken. This Russian offensive demonstrated that, even amid prior failures, a well-planned, coordinated attack could turn the tide on the Eastern Front.

The Strategic Collapse of Austria-Hungary

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 7/12:

The chaos extended to the south and east of the Eastern Front. In Lutsk, Russian forces advanced to within 45 yards of the enemy trenches, forcing Austro-Hungarian commanders to abandon their positions. Their retreat stretched across a 75-kilometer corridor, with some units fleeing as far as the Styr River, leaving behind vast quantities of artillery and supplies.

Despite pleas for reinforcements from their German allies, Austrian military leaders struggled to halt the Russian advance. Field Marshal Conrad von Hötzendorf and German Chief of Staff Falkenhayn faced stark realities—their forces could not stop the stately Russian push. By July 7th, the entire front around Lutsk was unraveling; the Austro-Hungarian defenses dissolved, and over 38 artillery pieces were captured.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 8/12:

The overall toll was staggering: approximately 65,000 prisoners were taken in one week alone, with the Austro-Hungarian army suffering severe manpower and material losses. The once formidable defense lines were crumbling, signaling a profound strategic defeat for Austria-Hungary.

The Broader War: Middle East and Additional Fronts

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 9/12:

While the Eastern and Western Fronts see ferocious activity, other key theaters of the war continue to evolve. In the Middle East, the Arab revolt is gaining momentum. On June 8th, Sharif Hussein proclaimed the Arab Revolt in Mecca, beginning what would become a pivotal uprising against Ottoman rule. Although initial efforts faced significant setbacks—only a fraction of rebels wielded weapons—British intelligence, including T.E. Lawrence, facilitated landings in Jeddah and supported Arab forces.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 10/12:

Meanwhile, the general war effort in Britain experienced tragedy at sea. The HMS Hampshire was struck by a mine off the Scottish coast on June 5th, sinking and killing British War Secretary Herbert Kitchener and his staff. At home, Britain shifted toward conscription, abandoning volunteer recruitment to provide the troops needed for ongoing battles.

The Human Cost and Conclusion

The ongoing conflict underscores the grim realities of war—massive casualties, shattered armies, and relentless attrition on all fronts. Successes in the East, such as Brusilov’s offensive, are contrasted by setbacks elsewhere, highlighting that victory often hinges on planning, coordination, and battlefield adaptability.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 11/12:

Throughout these tumultuous weeks, one lesson remains clear: overconfidence and underestimation of the enemy’s resilience can be disastrous. History shows repeated instances where commanders assumed their forces were invincible—only to be shocked by the enemy’s tenacity. Whether in Gallipoli, the Balkans, or on the Western and Eastern fronts, the war relentlessly challenges complacency.

Final Thoughts

As the war rages on, the world watches a transformative conflict whose outcomes will redefine nations and reshape global power dynamics. For now, the Russian infantry reaps the fruits of strategic innovation, Austria-Hungary flails in chaos, and new alliances and betrayals emerge in the shadows of ongoing combat.

Part 1/11:

The Historical Context and Tragedy of the Armenian Genocide

Introduction to Armenian History and Its Regional Background

During the Armenian Genocide, hundreds of thousands to millions of Armenians perished. While many discussions focus on the genocide itself, understanding the rich and tumultuous history of Armenia, its cultural heritage, and political landscape provides essential context. This article explores the origins of Armenian identity, regional struggles, and the events leading to one of the 20th century’s most devastating atrocities.

The Ancient and Medieval Armenian Lands

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 2/11:

Armenia's history is marked by a persistent struggle over its territory. From the 16th to the 18th centuries, its lands were contested by the Ottoman Turks to the west and the Persians to the east. The Armenian capital, Yerevan, changed hands over 14 times, reflecting this ongoing conflict. Historically, Armenia was divided into eastern and western regions; the east became part of the Armenian Empire, which was eventually absorbed by Persia, while the west fell under Ottoman control.

Throughout this era, Armenians maintained a distinct cultural and religious identity. They primarily resided in six provinces of eastern Anatolia, where they formed thriving communities with their churches and traditions. Despite external domination, Armenians sought self-governance and cultural preservation.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 3/11:

Rise of Armenian National Movements

By the 19th century, Armenian nationalism began to emerge, inspired by the broader wave of European revolutionary ideals. The 1863 Armenian Constitution acknowledged their cultural and religious rights within the Ottoman Empire, establishing representative assemblies and fostering political organizations such as Armenakan, Henchak, and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun). These groups aimed to defend Armenian interests amid increasing oppression.

The Changing Powers: Ottoman, Persian, and Russian Interests

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 4/11:

The regional balance shifted as the Russian Empire expanded into the Caucasus, acquiring significant Armenian-populated territories from Persia in the 1830s. Meanwhile, the Ottoman Empire, known as the "sick man of Europe," was in decline and trying to reassert control over its shrinking lands amidst rising European influence and nationalism.

In the Ottoman domain, Armenians lived under the Millet system—a community-based system granting religious minorities a degree of autonomy. Armenians thrived culturally, maintaining their churches and schools, but growing tensions and economic disparities created fertile ground for unrest. The 19th-century decline of Ottoman power intensified these strains, with some Armenian communities pushing for independence or at least greater autonomy.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 5/11:

Rising Religious and Political Tensions

Throughout the 19th century, the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II and his successors attempted to uphold Islamic identity at the expense of the Christian minorities, including Armenians. These policies stoked anti-Christian sentiments, and there were numerous violent episodes—including massacres of Armenians. Notably, the 1894-1896 Hamidian Massacres resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Armenians.

In 1909, a more radical faction came into power among Turks, leading to further persecutions. The tensions culminated in violence such as the massacres in Adana, which killed between 20,000 and 30,000 Armenians. These events highlighted the fragility of Armenian communities within the Empire.

Reform Attempts and the Brink of War

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 6/11:

In the early 20th century, European powers sought to contain Ottoman abuses through reforms like the Armenian Reform Agreements of 1914. Under these agreements, Armenian provinces would be overseen by European commissioners to protect their rights, ideally preventing violence. However, these efforts were thwarted by the outbreak of World War I and the Ottoman Empire’s subsequent betrayal of these promises.

The Onset of World War I and Genocide Acts

As WWI intensified, the Ottoman government saw Armenians' potential alliance with Russia as a threat. They falsely claimed that Armenians were plotting rebellion against the empire—accusations used as justification for mass deportations and massacres.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 7/11:

In late April 1915, the Ottoman authorities initiated what would become known as the Armenian Genocide. Key Armenian leaders and intelligentsia were arrested and executed in what is now commemorated annually as "Red Sunday." Subsequently, the Ottoman government ordered the systematic deportation of Armenians from their ancestral lands, leading to death marches, massacres, and the destruction of an entire culture.

Resistance and Notable Acts of Defiance

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 8/11:

Despite the genocide, Armenian communities resisted fiercely. The city of Musa Dagh, situated on the Mediterranean coast, withstood a 53-day siege from Ottoman forces until Allied ships evacuated its residents, saving thousands. The resistance also manifested in the Armenian volunteer units led by figures like Andranik Ozanian, who fought alongside Russian forces in the Caucasus, and in the formation of the short-lived Van Republic under the leadership of Aram Manukian.

The Battle of Sarıkamış in late 1914 was a disastrous campaign for the Ottomans, with thousands of soldiers—including many Armenians—dying due to both military failures and extreme weather conditions. Enver Pasha, the Ottoman war minister, blamed Armenians for the defeat, fueling further suspicion and hostility.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 9/11:

The Aftermath and the Legacy of Tragedy

By the war’s end, the Armenian population was decimated, and the first Armenian Republic was proclaimed in 1918 with Yerevan as its capital. However, as the Russian Empire collapsed and the Soviet Union rose, Armenia’s independence was short-lived. The defeat of the Ottomans and the subsequent treaties ignored Armenian interests, and much of Armenia was absorbed into Soviet Russia. Many Armenian leaders went into exile, and the territory remained a point of contention between Turkey and Armenia.

The Human Spirit and Cultural Resilience

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 10/11:

It is crucial to recognize that Armenians were not passive victims; they were resilient, culturally rich, and deeply committed to their independence and identity. Despite the overwhelming genocide, Armenian history is marked by acts of resistance, survival, and revival that continue today.

Conclusion: Recognizing the Crime and Its Significance

The Armenian Genocide remains one of the 20th-century’s most significant genocides, with millions of lives lost and a culture forever scarred. It reflected the dangerous intersection of nationalism, ethnic hatred, and imperial decline. As history shows, the strength of the Armenian people and their cultural resilience continue to inspire remembrance and lessons for the future.

It locks value permanently.

Once $LEO goes into the LSTR contract, it's off the market for good.

That means less sell pressure, and stronger long-term value.

A great rotation is occuring

LeoStrategy is absorbing $LEO by the tens of thousands. All of the LEO is getting perma-staked as sLEO in the LeoStrategy treasury vault

It will begin earning USDC on September 23rd from LeoDex Affiliate Fees and autoswap all USDC back into more LEO every day

The flywheel we're building will be in the many millions of LEO and it will drive continuous buy pressure while locking up more and more of the supply

The remaining LEO that isn't owned by LSTR and POL will eventually be worth $100+

Plan accordingly

No neo, it means that you don't have to...

Holding $LSTR means your cut of that locked $LEO grows daily.

The earlier you get in, the bigger your base share.

0

avatar

Explain further, please.

0
0
0.000
avatar

When you buy and hold $LSTR, you're basically locking in a share of the total $LEO being collected by the LeoStrategy contract.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Every day, more $LEO gets added to that pool and since $LSTR holders split that pool based on how much they hold, your portion grows daily.

0

But here’s the key:

The earlier you buy, the fewer $LSTR tokens are in circulation so your share of the pie is bigger. Later buyers split it with more people.

It was a hectic day for me.
Got home later than usual as I went to deliver the groceries I bought for my parents.

Since it was already dinner time, I stayed back for dinner after which I headed home.

Part 1/12:

The Launch of GPT-5: A New Era for AI Conversations and Capabilities

In recent days, users have had the opportunity to experience the new GPT-5, a significant upgrade in OpenAI’s language model lineup. This new iteration promises to be a game-changer, especially for daily users and developers alike, by combining multiple capabilities into a single, more intelligent, and efficient model.

Speed Improvements: Faster Responses, But Not the Main Highlight

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 2/12:

One of the most immediately noticeable features of GPT-5 is its enhanced response speed. In side-by-side tests, GPT-5 responded to straightforward questions like the number of Saturn’s rings or the different iPhone models faster than GPT-4—approximately 30 to 50% quicker. For instance, GPT-5 took just over 3 seconds to answer how many Saturn rings exist, compared to nearly 7 seconds for the older model.

However, speed isn't necessarily the most critical upgrade. The real breakthrough lies elsewhere, particularly in how GPT-5 manages its diverse tasks more intelligently without user intervention.

Simplifying Model Selection for Users

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 3/12:

One of the most confusing aspects of previous GPT models was the variety of options available—GPT-4, GPT-3.5, GPT-4 Mini, and their variants. Each model had different strengths, and users had to select the right one for their specific task, often leading to confusion and suboptimal results.

GPT-5 addresses this by integrating all existing capabilities into a single adaptive model. Instead of manually choosing whether it should use a lightweight version for simple queries or a more powerful one for complex thinkings, GPT-5 automatically selects the appropriate internal "mode" based on the question’s complexity. This seamless adaptation makes the AI more user-friendly, especially for casual users who don’t want to navigate technical model options.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 4/12:

Enhanced Coding and Creative Abilities

GPT-5's ability to handle complex programming tasks is notably improved. Through practical tests, users can generate games like Tetris or chess with detailed features. For example, creating a playable Tetris game initially took about 57 seconds on GPT-4, yielding only a basic version.

Switching to GPT-4 Mini High significantly reduced this time to under 15 seconds, producing a more complex, feature-rich game that included scoring, level indicators, and controls. Notably, GPT-5 further improved this, generating an even more sophisticated version of Tetris in around 19 seconds, with enhanced graphics and game mechanics.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 5/12:

Similarly, GPT-5 demonstrates considerably better coding intuition by automatically integrating themes, rules, and visual elements—baking in sophistication unprompted.

However, some challenges remain. Attempts to generate custom chess games with Pokémon sprites encountered errors—highlighting that while GPT-5’s coding is remarkably advanced, it’s not yet perfect at fixing its own bugs or handling failures seamlessly.

Improving Creativity, Writing, and Content Generation

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 6/12:

One of GPT-5's touted improvements over previous versions is its enhanced "writing flare"—the ability to deliver more engaging and natural language responses. For instance, when asked to craft a script about the discontinuation of Windows Phone, GPT-5 provided a detailed, well-structured narrative complete with notes on how to film the story.

Similarly, requests for social media graphics, such as a thumbnail for a Star Wars-themed YouTube video or themed birthday invitations, yielded mixed results. GPT-5 produced more contextually relevant and polished images than GPT-4 but still struggled with composition and accuracy in some cases—especially with image generation where it sometimes created less appealing or incomplete results.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 7/12:

Overall, GPT-5 shows clearer improvements in delivering more lively, expressive, and nuanced written responses, making it more useful for storytelling, marketing, and creative content.

Challenges in Fact-Checking and Hallucinations

Despite improvements, GPT-5 still struggles with factual accuracy. In tests asking for real-world products made by brands like McDonald's or KFC, GPT-5 continued to invent products with confidence—such as a McDonald's XT mobile phone or KFC gaming console—that do not exist.

This persistent issue with "hallucinations"—AI confidently stating false information—remains a concern. OpenAI attributes some of the challenges to the limitations of hardware and ongoing data feedback loops but acknowledges that hallucination is not eliminated overnight.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 8/12:

For factual queries, GPT-5 still needs cautious verification, as it can generate plausible but incorrect information, especially for niche or poorly documented topics such as specific tech products.

Better at Understanding Complex Queries and Context

On the positive side, GPT-5 demonstrated greater contextual understanding. When asked obtuse or complex questions, such as the history of Windows Phone or creating detailed scripts with filming notes, GPT-5 responded more accurately and coherently than GPT-4. It was better at parsing nuanced prompts, aligning responses more closely with the user’s intentions.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 9/12:

In one test, GPT-5 offered a comprehensive, engaging story about Windows Phone's rise and fall, explaining the key issues in a relatable way—using analogies and narrative flow that made the story compelling.

Limitations and Final Considerations

While GPT-5 offers many advancements—integrating capabilities, improving response speed, and enhancing creative output—the upgrade is not a universal leap forward. Some features, particularly in image generation and factual accuracy, still show room for improvement.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 10/12:

For casual users and content creators, GPT-5 simplifies the experience by automatically choosing the most appropriate internal model, removing the complexity of selecting between multiple specialized models. Its ability to generate detailed scripts, code, and creative content is notably better, making it a valuable tool for many applications.

However, issues like hallucination and inconsistent image quality remind us that AI, despite rapid progress, remains imperfect and should be used with oversight and validation.

Pricing and Access

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 11/12:

OpenAI maintains the existing subscription model, with GPT-5 accessible at the same price. For free users, access remains limited, but they get to experience the improvements. Paid subscribers, however, benefit from the full potential of the integrated GPT-5 model, with some caps on daily requests—though even these limits often prioritize access to the powerful new internal model.

Conclusion: A Promising Step Forward

avatar

Part 12/12:

GPT-5 marks a significant step in AI language model development, offering a unified, smarter, and more adaptable AI assistant. While not perfect, its enhancements in speed, reasoning, coding, and content generation are tangible. As development continues, future iterations will likely address current limitations, bringing us closer to AI that can understand, create, and verify with human-like finesse. For now, GPT-5 sets a new benchmark, promising exciting possibilities for users across industries and skill levels.

Exploring the World of Delicious Vegetarian Curries and Homemade Flatbreads

Curries are a celebration of bold flavors, nourishing ingredients, and comforting warmth. Recognized for their versatility and depth, they bring joy to those who savor them. In this article, we delve into three enticing curry recipes, each showcasing different ingredients and flavor profiles. Alongside these, we explore how to make fluffy, vegan naan bread from scratch and even a vegan twist on the classic butter chicken. Whether you're a seasoned chef or a home cook new to curries, these recipes promise a satisfying culinary adventure.

A Savory Eggplant and Apricot Curry

Part 2/9:

The first recipe is a unique blend of roasted eggplant and sweet apricots. The process begins by preparing two medium-sized eggplants, which are sliced and scored to allow flavors to penetrate. To combat the bitterness typically associated with large eggplants—thanks to their seeds—soaking cut pieces in a saltwater bath is recommended. This simple trick effectively removes the bitter compounds, resulting in a more delicate flavor.

While the eggplants soak, the remaining vegetables—onions, garlic, and red bell pepper—are prepared. A secret ingredient that elevates the dish is finely chopped dried apricots, which add a subtle sweetness to the curry. After soaking, the eggplants are rinsed, dried, seasoned with oil and salt, and roasted until tender and slightly caramelized.

Part 3/9:

In parallel, a rich tomato-based sauce is cooked with sautéed onions, garlic, and a fragrant spice blend of cumin, coriander, and cinnamon. The toasted spices are crucial, as they release their full aroma when briefly sautéed before adding liquids, enhancing the curry’s flavor profile.

The roasted eggplants are then scooped into the sauce along with fire-roasted or canned diced tomatoes, cooked lentils, and the dried apricots. This mixture simmers gently, allowing the flavors to meld. The finishing touch includes serving the curry over fluffy white rice, drizzled with coconut cream, and garnished with fresh mint and a squeeze of lemon juice. The sweetness of apricots balances beautifully with the richness of coconut, creating a dish that’s equally delightful in winter or summer.

Part 4/9:

Quick and Healthy Potatoes and Peas Curry

The second recipe is perfect for a quick, nourishing meal packed with protein and fiber. It starts with sautéing spices—whole cumin, coriander, and mustard seeds—in hot oil, which brings an aromatic base to the dish. Once fragrant, onions, garlic, ginger, and optionally chili are cooked to develop depth.

Next, diced potatoes are added along with water and vegetable stock cube, then left to simmer until tender. To boost the nutritional content and texture, frozen peas and canned chickpeas are stirred in, along with coconut milk for creaminess. As the curry finishes cooking, a handful of spinach is incorporated, wilting into the hot mixture.

Part 5/9:

Served with whole-grain rice or homemade naan, this curry offers a hearty dose of plant-based protein and complex carbs. Garnished with fresh cilantro, sliced chili, and lime juice, it’s an adaptable, wholesome dish that can be made with pantry staples and leftovers alike. Making a large batch enables you to enjoy it for several days, perfect for busy weeknights or meal prepping.

Homemade Vegan Naans: Fluffy and Aromatic Flatbreads

Complementing the curries is a step-by-step guide to making vegan naan bread from scratch. The basic dough combines simple ingredients: flour, non-dairy milk, plant-based yogurt, sugar, baking powder, and salt. After kneading until smooth, the dough is divided into four portions, rolled out into oval shapes, and brushed with garlic-herb oil.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 6/9:

The naans are cooked in a hot skillet until bubbling and golden on both sides, resulting in soft, flavorful flatbreads. These naans are perfect for dipping, scooping, or wrapping up curries. They are subtly fragrant with garlic and herbs, and versatile enough to serve with any spicy dish or as a quick bread accompaniment.

Vegan Butter Chicken: A Creamy, Spiced Viand

The final featured recipe is a vegan adaptation of the beloved butter chicken. Instead of chicken, tofu is marinated in a mixture of plant-based yogurt and a rich blend of spices—garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cayenne. Left to marinate briefly, the tofu is then baked until crisp and golden, making it a hearty, protein-rich element of the dish.

0

0.000
avatar

Part 7/9:

Meanwhile, a sauce is prepared with sautéed garlic, onion, chili, and ginger, infused with the same blend of spices used for the marinade. Canned diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and soaked cashews are blended into a smooth, creamy consistency, thickened with coconut milk. This luxurious sauce coats the baked tofu, creating a dish reminiscent of the classic Comfort Food, but entirely plant-based.

Serve this vegan butter chicken over rice or naan, garnished with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lemon for added brightness. The rich, creamy texture combined with spicy warmth makes it a perfect centerpiece for a cozy dinner.

Final Tips for Making Excellent Curries

Part 8/9:

A key takeaway from these recipes is that slow simmering at low heat enhances flavor integration. Many curries taste even better the next day after resting, allowing the spices to fully develop. Feel free to adjust ingredients based on what’s available in your pantry—flexibility is part of the charm of these dishes.

Whether you're preparing a hearty vegetable curry, a spicy chickpea dish, or a luxurious vegan butter chicken, these recipes demonstrate how simple ingredients, patience, and a few spices can yield extraordinary meals. Don’t forget to serve your curries with freshly made naan, rice, and vibrant garnishes such as herbs, chili slices, and citrus for the ultimate dining experience.

Part 2/12:

Kicking off with a simple yet inventive recipe, the focus was on crispy baked seaweed fries served with two delicious mayonnaise-based dips. Using russet potatoes—the classic choice—or Yukon Gold as an alternative, the fries are cut into one-centimeter (half-inch) strips. Soaking the cut potatoes in cold water for about ten minutes helps remove excess starch, ensuring they crisp up beautifully in the oven.

Part 3/12:

The seaweed element adds a subtle umami flavor that elevates the usual fry experience. Small pieces of nori are incorporated into the fries, offering a fun twist for those seeking a more sophisticated taste. After drying the potatoes thoroughly, they're tossed with vegetable oil, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne for a bit of heat, then coated with seaweed pieces before baking at 200°C (400°F) for about 40-45 minutes, with a flip halfway through.

Dipping Delights: Sriracha Mayo & Hoisin Mayo

Part 4/12:

The accompanying dipping sauces are quick to prepare. One combines vegan mayonnaise with Sriracha for a spicy kick, while the other blends vegan mayo with hoisin sauce to add a hint of sweetness and depth. When the fries come out golden and crispy, a sprinkle of sea salt completes the dish. For presentation, the fries are drizzled with the Sriracha mayo and garnished with sliced scallions and toasted sesame seeds, accentuating the umami notes from the seaweed.

Miso Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Sambal Tahini Mayo

Part 5/12:

Next, the creator ventures into sweet potato territory, preparing wedges coated in a miso-based marinade along with a zingy sambal tahini mayo. The sweet potatoes are sliced into wedges—halved lengthwise, then cut at an angle into 4-5 wedges per half—and marinated in a mixture of sesame oil, maple syrup, miso paste, sambal oelek (spicy chili paste), ginger, and a bit of leftover marinade brushed on before baking at 180°C (350°F) for 35-40 minutes.

Part 6/12:

The dipping sauce, a compelling blend of vegan mayo, tahini, sambal, soy sauce, and water, adds creaminess and heat, balancing the caramelized flavors of the roasted sweet potatoes. The wedges become irresistibly soft inside with a lovely caramelized exterior, and for an extra crisp, just broil for a minute or two. This combination has been a staple in the creator’s recent meals due to its addictiveness and robust flavor profile.

Crispy Baked Zucchini Fries with Versatile Dips

Part 7/12:

Expanding beyond potatoes, zucchini fries offer a fantastic alternative that’s equally tasty and super easy to prepare. The zucchinis are cut into 1-inch (2 cm) strips, then tossed with vegetable oil, breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, salt, and pepper. The breadcrumb coating ensures a crispy crust, and the recipe is highly customizable—adding spices like curry powder, Cajun seasoning, or Italian herbs can give it a personalized touch.

Part 8/12:

Baking at 170°C (340°F) for about 20 minutes per side guarantees crispy, golden fries. These zucchini fries are served with two dip options: a roasted red pepper dip made from jarred peppers blended with spices to mimic a marinara-like sauce, and a creamy Thousand Islands dressing with vegan mayo, ketchup, pickles, and a touch of sweet chili and pickle juice. Both dips enhance the veggie fries' flavor and offer a variety of taste experiences.

Ultimate Loaded Chili Sweet Potato Fries

Part 9/12:

The pièce de résistance is a hearty, indulgent loaded chili sweet potato fries dish. This recipe involves soaking raw cashews for a creamy cheese sauce, cutting sweet potatoes into consistent half-inch fries, and baking them at a high temperature (220°C / 430°F) for optimal crispiness. Meanwhile, a flavorful chili is prepared using onions, garlic, carrots, diced tomatoes, black beans, and spices like cumin, oregano, smoked paprika, and chili powder.

Part 10/12:

The vegan cheese sauce, made from blended soaked cashews, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and water, is heated until thickened and used generously to drizzle over the fries. The chili is spooned atop the fries while still hot, and the dish is finished with sliced avocado, chopped scallions, salsa made from cherry tomatoes, red onion, and lime juice, and a drizzle of Sriracha for added heat.

This dish is a celebration of bold flavors and textures—warm, spicy chili over crispy sweet potato fries topped with a smooth, cheesy sauce, vibrant salsa, and creamy avocado. It’s perfect for sharing or devouring solo, providing an explosion of nourishing goodness that balances heartiness with freshness.

Part 1/10:

Delicious and Nutritious Snacks: A Guide to Homemade Treats

In today's culinary journey, we're exploring how to make some healthful and flavorful snacks that satisfy both your taste buds and your wellness goals. Whether you’re into sweet or savory, these recipes are easy to prepare, ideal for on-the-go, and packed with wholesome ingredients.

Energy Bars: A Rich and Flavorful Orange-Oat Snack

The first recipe involves creating vibrant orange-infused energy bars that combine nuts, dried fruit, oats, and natural sweeteners. The process begins with roasting half a cup of walnuts at medium-high heat for three to five minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Once roasted, the walnuts are transferred to a food processor.

avatar

Part 2/10:

To craft the base, blend the roasted walnuts with three-quarters of a cup of raw almonds until reaching a dough-like consistency. If a food processor isn't available, pre-made almond flour (about half a cup) can be used as a substitute. Next, add two-thirds of dried apricots, chopped and roasted, into the processor, pulsing until they are chopped into small pieces.

Part 3/10:

In a large bowl, combine the processed mixture with a cup of traditional rolled oats, orange zest, half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Incorporate one cup of creamy peanut butter, half a cup of maple syrup, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract to form a moist, dense batter. Using your hands or a spatula, press this mixture into a baking dish lined with parchment paper, then bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until golden on top.

Part 4/10:

While the bars cool, melt half a cup of dairy-free dark chocolate either on the stovetop or in the microwave at low heat to prevent burning. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled bars in a zigzag pattern, and optionally sprinkle with orange zest and sea salt for extra flavor. Once set, cut into eighths or ten bars—a delicious, energy-boosting snack perfect for anytime of day.

Italian Tomato Crostini: A Flavor-Packed Appetizer

Part 5/10:

Next, we venture into savory territory with a zesty Italian-style roasted tomato bread. Start by chopping one and a half cups of cherry tomatoes, or any tomatoes available, into quarters. Mix with two minced garlic cloves, a quarter cup of chopped dried tomatoes, and a teaspoon of dried tomato oil (or olive oil). Add a tablespoon of capers roughly chopped, along with a teaspoon of onion powder, salt, pepper, and half a cup of chopped fresh basil.

Let this mixture rest for several minutes to develop flavor. Meanwhile, prepare a balsamic glaze by boiling half a cup of Italian vinegar until it reduces by about three-quarters, creating a concentrated, flavorful syrup—though optional if you prefer a lighter taste.

Part 6/10:

Slice a baguette or French bread using a bit of dried tomato oil for added flavor, then brush the slices and toast them in a pan until golden and crispy. Top the toasted bread with the herb-garlic mixture, then drizzle with the balsamic reduction if desired, and garnish with fresh herbs. This results in a robust appetizer that can also serve as an impressive starter or snack.

Protein-Packed Roasted Edamame Chips

The third recipe focuses on nutritious roasted edamame snacks. Take two cups of frozen, shelled edamame: rinse, drain, and soak them briefly in hot water to thaw and soften. Once drained and dried with a towel, toss about half a cup of the edamame with half a teaspoon of curry powder, ensuring even coating.

avatar

Part 7/10:

Place the coated edamame on a baking sheet lined with parchment. In a small bowl, mix two teaspoons of miso paste with one teaspoon of Mexican chili sauce or Sriracha and two teaspoons of maple syrup. Stir until well combined, then toss the remaining edamame in the sauce, ensuring each bean is coated.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 to 35 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the edamame are crispy. Once cooled, these snack bites are ready to be enjoyed immediately or stored in an airtight container for up to three days. They’re high in protein and perfect for a quick energizer during work or study breaks.

Sweet and Crispy Sweet Potato Fries with Dips

Part 8/10:

Finally, for a satisfying, guilt-free treat, homemade sweet potato fries are a perfect choice. Peel two to three medium-sized sweet potatoes and slice them into uniform strips. Soak the slices in cold water for five to ten minutes to remove excess starch, helping the fries become crispier.

After draining and thoroughly drying the slices, toss them with approximately two teaspoons of cornstarch or potato starch, ensuring even coverage. Then, drizzle with two teaspoons of vegetable oil and season with half a teaspoon each of dried oregano, onion powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

avatar

Part 9/10:

Arrange the sweet potato slices on baking sheets, spaced out to prevent sticking and promote crispiness. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for around 20 minutes, then flip and bake for an additional 15 to 25 minutes until golden and crunchy.

Complement the fries with two flavorful dipping sauces: a sweet mustard made with vegan mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and cinnamon, and a creamy avocado dip blending ripe avocado, garlic, plant-based yogurt, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Garnish the fries with fresh cilantro for presentation.

Part 1/10:

The Future of AI: Exploring Google DeepMind’s Genie 3 and the State of Artificial Intelligence in 2025

In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, breakthroughs in artificial intelligence continue to reshape what we believe possible. On August 6, 2025, several major AI developments surfaced, marking a significant leap toward more autonomous and versatile systems. Among these, Google DeepMind's release of Genie 3 stands out as a groundbreaking milestone—a model that brings science fiction closer to reality by generating interactive, high-fidelity virtual worlds from simple text prompts.

The Birth of Genie 3: A New Era in Virtual World Simulation

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 2/10:

Imagine a system that can create detailed, controllable environments in real-time, rendering at 720p resolution and 24 frames per second—sounds like science fiction, right? Well, Google DeepMind has announced Genie 3, an AI model that achieves just that. Unlike traditional graphics engines or game development tools, Genie 3 understands physical properties and environmental dynamics sufficiently to simulate interactive worlds that users can explore and manipulate.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 3/10:

This system goes beyond mere image rendering; it generates environments with tangible realism and consistent physical laws, much like an openworld video game but driven purely by text prompts. The environments are not static but dynamically respond to interactions, thanks to the model's comprehension of real-world physics and object properties. This ability fundamentally shifts how autonomous systems, including robots, could be trained—by providing an unlimited, customizable sandbox where real-world scenarios can be simulated repeatedly without the risks and costs of physical testing.

Why It Matters

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 4/10:

The significance of Genie 3 lies in its capacity to serve as a “world model” that accurately mimics reality, allowing for extensive training and testing of AI-controlled robots. Instead of relying solely on real-world data, which can be costly and limited, developers can use these virtual environments to prepare robots for complex tasks such as navigation, object handling, and human interaction. The emergent consistency and high fidelity of these simulations suggest that AI systems might soon reach levels of understanding and interaction previously thought unattainable.

Market and Industry Impact: A Near-Future Reality

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 5/10:

While Genie 3 is a technological marvel, it’s also part of a broader trend toward more autonomous, interactive AI systems. For instance, humanoid robots like Unitry’s R1 are rapidly approaching market readiness, priced at about $5,900, with capabilities to perform daily tasks like cooking, walking, and even companionship. As these robots become more sophisticated, the importance of realistic training environments—like those generated by Genie 3—becomes even more apparent.

This convergence of advanced simulation and physical robotics hints at a near future where AI-controlled robots could be trained and deployed with minimal human intervention, transforming industries from home assistance to healthcare.

Broader AI Developments in 2025: Open-Source Models and Software Engineering

0
0

avatar

Part 6/10:

Genie 3 isn’t the only highlight in this wave of AI innovation. The year has also seen notable advancements in other domains:

  • OpenAI’s Approach to Open-Source AI: OpenAI released an impressive model, GPTO OSS, licensed under Apache 2.0. This move signifies a shift toward more accessible and freely available AI tools, encouraging innovation by allowing developers to build upon OpenAI’s work without restrictive licenses. Although the model approaches state-of-the-art reasoning capabilities, it still faces limitations regarding censorship and the depth of general intelligence compared to proprietary counterparts like GPT-3.5 or GPT-4.
0

0.000
avatar

Part 7/10:

  • Enhanced Software Engineering with Claude Opus 4.1: Anthropic unveiled an upgraded version of its chatbot tailored for coding tasks. The new model demonstrates improved multi-file refactoring capabilities and is optimized for larger, more complex projects. Such tools are vital as software development becomes more intricate, demanding AI assistance to maintain efficiency and code quality at scale.

The Larger Implication: Toward Artificial General Intelligence?

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 8/10:

Many AI enthusiasts and industry insiders consider Genie 3 a watershed moment, a step closer to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Its ability to generate consistent-enough virtual worlds, model physical properties, and enable long-interaction horizons suggests that systems could eventually reason, learn, and adapt across a variety of tasks much like humans.

However, caution is advised. Tech influencers and skeptics alike warn against overhyping these advancements, highlighting the potential risks of highly capable autonomous systems—particularly given the possibility of unintended consequences like uncontrolled autonomous decision-making.

The Path Forward: Tools and Responsible Innovation

0
0
0.000
avatar

Part 9/10:

For those eager to participate in this AI-driven future, tools like Warp are indispensable. As a powerful command-line AI development environment, Warp offers programmers enhanced control, higher efficiency, and deeper integration into their stacks. Its recent achievements in outperforming other coding agents validate its status as a leading tool for AI-assisted software development.

Conclusion

The developments announced on August 6, 2025,—from Google DeepMind’s Genie 3 to open-source models and upgraded coding assistants—paint a compelling picture of AI’s trajectory. These innovations hold the promise of more realistic simulations, smarter robots, and more capable AI systems that could redefine industries and daily life.

It comes from:

• Boosting your income
• Investing in assets that grow in value
• Living below your means

Straightforward, but not effortless.

This is where the real trouble begins. Peer pressure can be real. In a society where respect is measured by what you have.

Nevertheless, living below one's means is truly the way forward.

I learned this thing you just explained from a colleague earlier this year.

That dude isn't move by what people say or think about him. I thought for a moment we were on the same level financially.

Not until one day I saw an alert on his phone.

That dude is derm wealthy yet I normally buy lunch for him 😫😫.

I had to asked him why he disguised himself.

He told me something beautiful.

"Build your wealth first before you spend. Know when it is your seed and when it is your harvest. Else you'll be spending your seed thinking it's your harvest."

Then I realized I have been eating my seed all these years 😭😭😭, thinking I am living a great life.

$LEO is the Alpha that I had long come to search for…

📊 What is Alpha in Investing?

Alpha is a measure of an investment's performance relative to a benchmark index, after adjusting for risk. It reflects how much value a portfolio manager or investment strategy adds or subtracts compared to the overall market.

📌 In short: Alpha tells you if an investment is earning more than it should for its level of risk.

I saw a lot of Sturgis oriented bikers on the road yesterday and none, no not even ONE was wearing assless chaps. We used to be a proper country.

The US also used to be a country where a white woman could pose for a jeans brand without triggering a storm of woke critics, lol.

Unless of course there is constant buy pressure. The expect an ever increasing floor price. Projects like $pTGC and $LEO have a constant buy pressure. I am not saying they will not drop but it will be to higher floor levels.

It's often repeated because it's accurate:

Without your own keys, the crypto isn't truly yours.

Crypto without self-custody isn't genuinely under your control.

Damn, gold is running hard with POTUS making a nomination for the new Fed chair and new tariffs on some gold bars.

PAX gold crypto looks good.

The Arbus “Chirps” are live but what are they and how it works? The "chirps" are an AttentionFi rewards layer that pays real contributors for both off‑chain efforts like posts, and onchain actions such as swaps, staking, and governance.

Batman Beyond scored a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes which honestly sounds crazy when you compare it to live action Batman movies, even The Dark Knight only got 94% so how did this animated show about future Batman beat everything else, though to be fair it only has 29 reviews compared to hundreds for the big movies, still pretty impressive for what started as a kids show about teenage Batman in a flying suit Read More in ➡️ #linkincomments

I am talking about the thousands of people are a niche crypto group that is living in 2017 and asking about Leo joining that is not being aware of where the industry is moving.

This is the fundamental issue with Hive people

The Boys prequel Vought Rising keeps adding cast members and honestly this lineup is looking pretty solid, Jensen Ackles is back as Soldier Boy and Aya Cash returns as Stormfront, plus they got Will Hochman from Blue Bloods and Elizabeth Posey from Euphoria, setting it in the 1950s as a murder mystery sounds like the perfect way to show how fucked up Vought was from the beginning, production starts later this year so we might actually get this sooner than expected Read More in ➡️ #linkincomments

Hello lions 🦁

On this now defunct Thursday, we bring you a few lines dedicated to that infallible and inescapable destiny that at some point in our lives we have to face.

In the five minutes after death, the body begins to undergo many chemical and physical changes. Even in death, nature is wise and activates the processes after death.

We leave you a small poetic prose with a mortuary essence. I hope it will be to the liking of the community of lions.

Japan is expected to see a population decline of nearly a million people this year. This demographic shift began fifty years ago and isn't related to AI. AI remains the key to potentially reversing this trend.

The Jester 2 dropped an exclusive image and this creepy bastard looks even more disturbing than before, that decaying smile and those dead black eyes are nightmare fuel, Colin Krawchuk is back directing and this time the evil clown is going after a teen magician, sounds like the perfect setup for some fucked up tricks and kills, the first movie was pretty decent horror so hopefully this sequel can up the ante without going too over the top Read More in ➡️ #linkincomments

I often ponder the incongruity of people working 80 hrs/week so they can afford the life they want, but that makes them too tired to actually ENJOY that life...

Most of us are in that category, we have a dream future in our brain where life will be less hectic and work load will be lesser but sadly we never reach there and we want to earn more and more. you live from day 1, things are never going to change and you will only end up getting far away.
