The chaos of war: Serbia’s resilience amidst multiple invasions in World War I
As the world plunged deeper into the chaos of the Great War, Serbia found itself repeatedly battered on multiple fronts, yet consistently managed to repel the invading forces. Last year, the Serbian territory was under attack by the Austro-Hungarian army multiple times. Despite fierce resistance, the Serbs endured heavy losses, especially during the winter and spring, when typhus swept through their borders, claiming many lives. During summer, Serbian enemies focused their efforts elsewhere, leaving the front lines relatively quiet but tense, knowing that at any moment, an attack could resurface.
This week, the headlines are dominated by the renewed threat to Serbia. The German and Austro-Hungarian offensive launched in October 1915 marked a significant escalation, aiming to crush Serbia once and for all. The offensive was pushed through heavy artillery bombardments along the rivers Danube and Sava, with rapid establishment of German and Austro-Hungarian bridgeheads. The swift breach of Serbian defenses resulted in the fall of Belgrade on October 8, 1915, effectively removing the Serbian capital from Serbian control.
The offensive’s mastermind, General August von Mackensen, was called to other fronts, leaving the Balkan campaign to be coordinated by his subordinate, General Conrad von Hotzendorf of Austria-Hungary. Their combined efforts aimed to eliminate Serbia as a threat, thereby opening a land corridor from Germany to the Ottoman Empire through Constantinople, and facilitating easier supply routes for the Central Powers, including their campaign in Gallipoli.
As Serbia faced devastation, neighboring Bulgaria entered the conflict, eyeing the territory of Macedonia, which had been promised to them in previous Balkan conflicts. The Bulgarians, motivated by recent successes in Poland and Galicia and eager to acquire new territories, decided to join the Central Powers in October 1915. Their entry was strategic, not only to secure territorial gains but also to weaken Serbia further.
The alliance-building extended into the broader geopolitical landscape. Britain and France recognized the importance of the Balkan region and aimed to demonstrate strength by supporting a landing in Thessaloniki (Salonika), Greece, a neutral country united by internal political factions. While the Greek government was cautious, Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos favored aligning with the Allies, eager to expand Greek influence in the region. The British and French seaborne forces managed to land around 20,000 troops in Thessaloniki, despite political tensions and Greece's official neutrality.
The Battle on Western Front: The Battle of Loos and technological innovations
Meanwhile, on the Western Front, the ongoing battles continued with fierce intensity. The British and French launched offensives in Artois, Champagne, and Loos. Despite their efforts, they failed to break through the formidable German defenses, suffering heavy casualties—tens of thousands of soldiers lost in these assaults. Notably, the British Royal Flying Corps made significant advances during the Loos Battle, employing new wireless communication technology to coordinate artillery and air raids more effectively. This period marked what might be one of the earliest instances of strategic aerial bombardment, targeting German trains, railway hubs, and supply depots.
The battlefield also saw innovations in warfare tactics, with British pilots conducting organized strategic bombing missions against enemy logistics, an early precursor to modern aerial warfare. Although these tactics faced skepticism from some artillery crews, their potential to disrupt enemy supply lines began to showcase the evolving nature of combat in the Great War.
The Middle Eastern theater: The campaign for Baghdad and Gallipoli
In the Middle East, British and Indian forces achieved a crucial victory at Kut on the Tigris, leading their commanding officer, General John Nixon, to urge the pursuit of the retreating Ottoman forces toward Baghdad. However, General Charles Townshend, overseeing these operations, expressed concerns about logistics and supply lines, highlighting the vulnerabilities of working so far from the sea with limited forces.
Simultaneously, the failed Gallipoli campaign persisted, with significant losses and little strategic gain. The Allied powers recognized their need for a victory and continued to send reinforcements—though limited in number. French and British divisions, under command of General Maurice Sarrail, attempted to seize control of the Turkish-held Dardanelles, but the campaign remained bogged down, with hopes of capturing Baghdad diminishing amid logistical nightmares and stiff Ottoman resistance.
The geopolitical turbulence in Greece and the Adriatic
The political situation in Greece was fraught, torn between pro-Central Powers monarchs and pro-Allied governments. King Constantine I favored neutrality aligned with the Central Powers, while Prime Minister Venizelos supported the Allied cause. This internal division led to a diplomatic stalemate, with the Allies choosing to land forces in Salonika to secure footholds in the region, despite Greece’s official neutrality.
Meanwhile, the Austro-Hungarian Navy posed a threat in the Adriatic Sea, disrupting Allied naval operations. Concurrently, the sabotage of the Italian battleship Benedetto Brin in the port of Brindisi resulted in significant casualties, highlighting the campaign of sabotage and covert operations carried out by the Central Powers.
The narrative of the week underscores the staggering human cost of these campaigns. Serbia, in particular, endured the most grievous suffering—disease, hunger, refugee flows, and the loss of a significant portion of its population. The country was ravaged physically and morally, fighting valiantly despite being outnumbered and under siege from multiple armies.
As winter approaches, Serbia’s fate seems grim, with potential economic ruin, widespread disease, and the devastation wrought by relentless warfare. Meanwhile, the Western Front continues to see brutal trench warfare, with innovations in tactics and technology, and the Middle Eastern campaigns struggle amidst logistical and strategic challenges.
At the end of this intense week, the great powers find themselves locked in a complex web of military campaigns, political intrigue, and shifting alliances. Serbia’s resilience is inspiring but comes at a tragic cost, while the broader strategic picture remains uncertain. The war’s brutal reality continues to unfold, with new threats emerging on every front, and the ultimate outcome remains unclear.
Stay tuned for more updates from the front lines next week, and remember to support independent historical narratives for a clearer understanding of this tumultuous period.

When BTC halving is approaching people gets excited because the block rewards will be reduced by 50% which could lead to a scarcity and inevitably a price rise.
How do you see $LEO in that context?
30M circulating supply, not further increase ✔️
Token burn ✔️
Constant buybacks ✔️
Leostrategy buys that can never be sold ✔️
Read the post again, never said Leo has a halving. I am talking about the excitement people have about BTC halving because it will reduce block rewards. But Leo has a lot of mechanism that are reducing the circulating supply daily, which we should be excited about.
Right, You never said, but I am asking if there is something like this because I am not aware and have limited knowledge about the Leo ecosystem.
Reducing the circulating supply is good.
No halving, Leo is already fully in circulation and have just migrated from inflation to deflation with a fixed supply cap of 30 million tokens. However, there are a lot of system put in place by the Inleo team to ensure the token price increment going forward.
I'm aiming for Champion League this Splinterlands season, currently at Diamond 1 with 3600 rating. I'm learning that higher leagues mean better rewards.
With 7 days left, I'll play intensely, powering up my SPS to 115K. My goal is reaching Champion 3, and ideally a leaderboard spot, for boosted earnings.
All along the motherboard was the main issue. Glad my son can find refuge and use it for now. Actually he built it and refurbished parts from his old computer from what are compatible.

The Art of Otto Dix: Exorcising the Horrors of War
Otto Dix, a German painter and graphic artist, is celebrated for his uncompromising depiction of Weimar society and the harrowing realities of World War I. His works serve as powerful visual exorcisms—images that attempt to create order and meaning from chaos, both within himself and in the turbulent era he lived through. As Friedrich Otto Dix himself once expressed, "All art is exorcism. I paint dreams and visions—dreams and visions of my time." This statement encapsulates his approach: channeling the chaos of his inner world and the external chaos of his era into stark, truthful art.
Born on December 2, 1891, in Untermhaus to working-class parents, Dix showed prodigious talent early on. By adolescence, he was already training as a painter. Between 1909 and 1914, he studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, where he was influenced heavily by the Expressionists. The movement resonated with him, laying the groundwork for much of his mature work, which often conveyed raw emotion and social critique.
When World War I erupted, Dix volunteered eagerly, feeling compelled to experience the war firsthand. Assigned to the field artillery unit in Dresden and later serving as a non-commissioned officer at the Western Front, he fought at the Battle of the Somme and on the Eastern Front. His experiences in combat left indelible scars, both physical and psychological. He was wounded multiple times and awarded the Iron Cross Second Class for bravery.
His wartime drawings and paintings emerged early, with his notable series debuting in 1916. Deeply traumatized by the horrors he witnessed—images of destroyed houses, mutilated soldiers, and death—Dix's art became an outlet to process these nightmares. His powerful depictions of war's brutality—such as "War Invalids" (1920) and "Wounded Soldier" (1922)—highlight his disdain for how postwar society treated injured veterans.
By 1924, Dix’s work had become increasingly politicized. His painting "In the Trenches" (1924) stirred controversy with its unflinching portrayal of dismembered bodies in a German trench, provoking public outrage. That same year, he co-founded the traveling exhibition "Never Again War," which aimed to confront audiences with the brutal realities of conflict. His 1924 portfolio, "Der Krieg" (The War), a series of incisive etchings, echoed Francisco Goya's "The Disasters of War," emphasizing humanity’s vulnerability and the barbarism of wartime destruction.
Among Dix's most significant works are the triptychs "The City" (1928) and "The War" (1932). Both pieces deploy three panels to narrate comprehensive stories. "The City" depicts a war veteran returning to Berlin—shaven-headed, wounded, and surrounded by prostitutes—symbolizing societal decay and the personal toll of conflict. "The War" presents a panoramic view of destruction, corpses, and surrender, capturing the chaos from multiple perspectives.
His style fused realism with Expressionism, employing stark contrasts, vivid details, and unsettling imagery to evoke visceral reactions. Dix's commitment to depicting truth, however gruesome, made his work both revolutionary and dangerous.
In 1926, Dix became a professor at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, where he influenced a new generation of artists. However, the rise of the Nazis in the early 1930s marked a turning point. Adolf Hitler despised modern art, considering it degenerate, especially Dix's anti-war and socially critical pieces. His work was condemned, and he was forced to leave his teaching post. His paintings were exhibited at the infamous Degenerate Art exhibition in Munich and subsequently destroyed.
Refusing to emigrate—despite the danger—Dix retreated to Lake Constance, where he painted serene landscapes, avoiding political confrontation but remaining steadfast in his artistic integrity. During Nazi rule, his art was censored and confiscated, illustrating the oppressive environment that stifled freedom of expression.
The Second World War and Later Life
With the outbreak of World War II, Dix was drafted into the Volkssturm—a militia made up of older men and teenagers unfit for regular service. He was captured by French forces and spent time in captivity. After his release, he resumed painting, although his focus shifted more toward landscapes and still lifes, consistent with the wartime restrictions.
He continued working until his death from a stroke in 1969. Despite the upheavals and restrictions, Dix’s commitment to honest representation remained unwavering.
Legacy and Impact
Dix’s most acclaimed work, "The War," housed in the Dresden New Masters Gallery, exemplifies 20th-century German realism. Its four panels depict the catastrophic consequences of modern warfare, emphasizing the human cost of conflict. His "Der Krieg" etching portfolio—modeled after Goya’s "Disasters of War"—remains one of the most potent anti-war artistic statements, combining graphic detail with emotional depth.
Art critics praise Dix’s work as “perhaps the most powerful and unpleasant anti-war statement in modern art,” emphasizing its raw honesty and psychological intensity. His art not only condemns the barbarity of war but also confronts viewers with the brutal truths that many prefer to forget.
Personal Reflection on War and Art
Throughout his life, Dix grappled with his wartime trauma, stating in 1963 that he volunteered to experience the war’s horrors firsthand. He explained, "I had to see with my own eyes to confirm the reality." His willingness to confront and depict these atrocities underscores his approach—an intense desire for truth, no matter how disturbing.
His work serves as a stark reminder of war's horrors, urging future generations to remember and learn from history’s darkest moments. Otto Dix’s art is a testament to the power of realism and expressionism, uniquely capturing the human psyche's depths and society’s moral failures amidst chaos.

Well initially I was using tap water but it leads to a very quick lime scale buildup and it caused my sauna steamer to break. I was able to fix it with a replacement unit that I had and since I bought another one but still I rather not have to go through it with any of that and since I also figured a nice cleaning procedure and it's better to clean the water distiller than it is to clean the sauna steamer
Nope that just my temporary distilling operation once I fill up my 6 gallon jug I can put away the water distiller well maybe clean it and then put it away

The Transformation of Steam: How Payment Processor Policies Are Reshaping Digital Distribution
Last week marked a pivotal moment for digital game distribution as Valve, the creator of Steam, quietly introduced a new rule—Rule 15—that fundamentally shifts the platform’s content policy. This seemingly subtle change has profound implications, effectively delegating the decision on what can be sold on Steam to third-party payment processors like Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal. In this transition, the ownership of platform content no longer resides solely with Valve but is now subject to the standards set by these financial giants, raising concerns about censorship, free expression, and the future of digital marketplaces.
Previously, Steam operated under a set of 14 rules that governed what kinds of content developers could submit. The new Rule 15 states that content that may violate the policies of payment processors or related networks and banks could be banned. This is a critical distinction—it's not an outright ban on illegal content but a precautionary measure based on potential violations.
This change was not explicitly flagged in advanced communications, but sharp-eyed users and developers soon discovered that hundreds of adult-only games vanished from the platform almost overnight. Developers received a token gesture—$100 in store credits—as compensation, but the core issue remains: many titles that are legal in multiple jurisdictions, especially in adults-only niches, are being pulled under vague and broad interpretations of “may violate” policies.
The motivation behind Valve’s move is rooted in the immense pressure exerted by payment processors. The platform confirmed in a statement to Rock Paper Shotgun that they pulled the games after being notified that certain titles might breach the standards set by financial institutions. The rationale is not legal compliance but risk mitigation: avoid losses or bans from major payment networks.
This showcases a critical vulnerability—Steam’s immense reach makes it a lucrative target for influence campaigns. Because the platform relies heavily on Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal—control over roughly 69% of global credit cards—Valve is effectively hostage to their policies. If these processors decide to withdraw or restrict certain types of content, Steam must capitulate or face losing access to crucial revenue streams.
Behind this shift is the influence of advocacy groups like Collective Shout, an Australian organization campaigning against the objectification of women and the sexualization of minors. They launched a campaign that mobilized over a thousand emails to companies like PayPal, Mastercard, and Visa, urging them to tighten restrictions on what could be processed.
While their stated goal is to reduce harmful and misogynistic content, critics argue that such pressure often leads to overreach, resulting in the removal of legal adult content and even artistic expression. The campaign piggybacked on previous victories, such as targeting mainstream games like Grand Theft Auto or Detroit: Become Human for their themes, but the real concern is the precedent it sets for broader censorship driven by external advocates.
A notable example discussed is the game No Mercy, which featured explicit content deemed illegal in certain jurisdictions like the UK and Australia. Advocates argued that its removal was justified because it contained illegal material in some regions. However, the game was still legal elsewhere, illustrating how region-specific laws clash with platform-wide policies. Valve’s delayed response—taking five days after media coverage—highlighted complacency and possible underestimation of enforcement challenges.
This incident was exploited by groups like Collective Shout to reinforce their narrative that illegal content circulates widely on Steam, even though most problematic titles are not illegal everywhere but are targeted by external pressure groups exploiting legal ambiguities.
The Broader Implications for Developers and Consumers
The repercussions extend beyond adult-themed titles. Platforms like itch.io have already begun to restrict access to adult, NSFW, or controversial content following similar pressure tactics. As a result, thousands of games, including high-art projects and niche independent titles (sometimes LGBT or minority-focused), have been hidden or removed. Developers now face an uncertain landscape where their content risks being banned based on subjective interpretations of “may violate” policies, not actual violations.
Additionally, the impact isn't limited to large publishers. Smaller creators and marginalized groups are disproportionately affected, especially when content can be falsely flagged as adult or inappropriate due to biases—whether cultural, political, or based on the creator’s identity.
The Future of Platform Content Policy
This trajectory raises alarming questions about the future of free expression in digital game distribution. Once a platform becomes a de facto monopoly—the “kingmaker” in the industry—its policies cascade into wider cultural and legal arenas. If platforms capitulate to external pressure, they risk eroding the diversity of content and silencing voices that operate in legally protected spaces.
There is already burgeoning resistance. A petition from developers like Beller.gamē* aiming to protect legally compliant content from payment processor censorship underscores a growing grassroots movement. However, resisting the powerful influence of multinational payment corporations is challenging, especially when the cost of standing firm could be losing access to essential revenue channels.
The Vague Language of Guidelines: A Double-Edged Sword
Valve’s vague language—using terms like "may violate"—serves as a strategic shield, allowing platform operators to preemptively remove content without clear legal standards. This creates a chilling effect, discouraging creators from submitting risky but legal material and opening the door for inconsistent enforcement.
While Valve publicly promised in 2018 to defend creative freedom, recent events show that such promises are now history. Market realities and external pressures—particularly from activist groups and financial institutions—have proven too influential to resist.
Broader Societal and Legal Concerns
This development is emblematic of a broader trend where private corporations increasingly shape cultural norms and expressions. Their influence extends into legislation, with some regions passing laws targeting “objectionable” content—blurred lines that can be exploited to justify censorship.
The implications are worldwide. As payment processors set the parameters for what can be sold, the risk is that content considered legal and artistic in one country becomes inaccessible across the globe. The scope of censorship could expand rapidly, leading to a homogenized, sanitized digital landscape devoid of controversial or challenging material.
Concluding Thoughts: A Call for Vigilance and Democratic Oversight
The story of Steam’s Rule 15 exemplifies how external pressures—regardless of their intent—can undermine the principles of open, diverse, and artistically liberated digital markets. The reliance on major payment processors creates systemic vulnerabilities—turning platforms into gatekeepers that act on behalf of financial and ideological interests rather than democratic consensus.
As creators, consumers, and industry stakeholders, vigilance is essential. Advocates and developers are pushing back through petitions, legal challenges, and awareness campaigns, aiming to protect the right to access and distribute legal content. However, the underlying challenge remains: ensuring that core freedoms are defended against the silencing tactics of powerful corporate and activist interests.
The future of digital content depends on transparency, clear standards, and robust mechanisms that respect legal rights across jurisdictions. Otherwise, we risk losing a vital part of cultural expression—a marketplace of ideas, art, and stories shaped by diverse voices, not by the narrow interests of profit and control.

I had one of these and it took awhile. They are very popular. These are made at the creamery you buy them from. They make the shells at night. They freeze them in the morning. 10's of these are made. They are limited.
The employees that make them absolutely DO NOT understand the hype. I went in a couple times and disappointedly walked away empty handed. They tried to explain to me these are no different than a waffle cone with the oreo ice cream.
At first, I did not listen. There had to be something to it. Why did everyone want one so badly if it's just a waffle cone!? Well, it is different, but it's not. I finally got one and the hype is NOT justified.
It is pretty much the waffle cone. I owe all the employees that had to deal with my disappointment an apology. A big one because they were all right. It's the same. It's also not. It's a taco and that's pretty cool.
I'll admit. Eating ice cream like it's a taco is pretty cool. Flavor-wise, these are no different. It tastes the same. The texture is the same. The experience is only slightly different. Instead of coming out the bottom
the ice cream drips out both sides. You also get a bite of the waffle cone with each bite of ice cream which IMHO is better. That's the biggest difference is waffle cone with each bite. There's more waffle.

Change is inevitable. Time to time, change comes. It can be intentional or unintentional. Evolution also means change, but it takes a huge time and the change is very slow.
It's so slow that it's hard to notice, and it may take a century or even thousands of years. Can you predict what the next evolution for the human being will be? It's not so easy, as nobody knows the future.

Recently, after my daughter experienced an ear infection, we visited the doctor for an antibiotic prescription. The visit cost $244, with insurance covering $60, leaving us with $184 to pay. This is despite paying $556/month for family health insurance, indicating a flawed system.

Part 1/12:
The strategic situation on the Balkan front
Part 2/12:
This week, the headlines are dominated by the renewed threat to Serbia. The German and Austro-Hungarian offensive launched in October 1915 marked a significant escalation, aiming to crush Serbia once and for all. The offensive was pushed through heavy artillery bombardments along the rivers Danube and Sava, with rapid establishment of German and Austro-Hungarian bridgeheads. The swift breach of Serbian defenses resulted in the fall of Belgrade on October 8, 1915, effectively removing the Serbian capital from Serbian control.
Part 3/12:
The offensive’s mastermind, General August von Mackensen, was called to other fronts, leaving the Balkan campaign to be coordinated by his subordinate, General Conrad von Hotzendorf of Austria-Hungary. Their combined efforts aimed to eliminate Serbia as a threat, thereby opening a land corridor from Germany to the Ottoman Empire through Constantinople, and facilitating easier supply routes for the Central Powers, including their campaign in Gallipoli.
Complex alliances and regional ambitions
Part 4/12:
As Serbia faced devastation, neighboring Bulgaria entered the conflict, eyeing the territory of Macedonia, which had been promised to them in previous Balkan conflicts. The Bulgarians, motivated by recent successes in Poland and Galicia and eager to acquire new territories, decided to join the Central Powers in October 1915. Their entry was strategic, not only to secure territorial gains but also to weaken Serbia further.
Part 5/12:
Part 6/12:
Part 7/12:
The battlefield also saw innovations in warfare tactics, with British pilots conducting organized strategic bombing missions against enemy logistics, an early precursor to modern aerial warfare. Although these tactics faced skepticism from some artillery crews, their potential to disrupt enemy supply lines began to showcase the evolving nature of combat in the Great War.
The Middle Eastern theater: The campaign for Baghdad and Gallipoli
Part 8/12:
In the Middle East, British and Indian forces achieved a crucial victory at Kut on the Tigris, leading their commanding officer, General John Nixon, to urge the pursuit of the retreating Ottoman forces toward Baghdad. However, General Charles Townshend, overseeing these operations, expressed concerns about logistics and supply lines, highlighting the vulnerabilities of working so far from the sea with limited forces.
Part 9/12:
Simultaneously, the failed Gallipoli campaign persisted, with significant losses and little strategic gain. The Allied powers recognized their need for a victory and continued to send reinforcements—though limited in number. French and British divisions, under command of General Maurice Sarrail, attempted to seize control of the Turkish-held Dardanelles, but the campaign remained bogged down, with hopes of capturing Baghdad diminishing amid logistical nightmares and stiff Ottoman resistance.
The geopolitical turbulence in Greece and the Adriatic
Part 10/12:
The human toll and the strategic outlook
Part 11/12:
Conclusion
Part 12/12:

Which is the game changer here?
the tokenomics are very strong! The challenge is getting the volume in the dex. One we get that, we are good to take off
Do we have halving process on Leo ?
Deflation is the game changer everything else just adds fuel to the fire.

Part 1/11:
Early Life and Artistic Formation
Part 2/11:
Born on December 2, 1891, in Untermhaus to working-class parents, Dix showed prodigious talent early on. By adolescence, he was already training as a painter. Between 1909 and 1914, he studied at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, where he was influenced heavily by the Expressionists. The movement resonated with him, laying the groundwork for much of his mature work, which often conveyed raw emotion and social critique.
Wartime Experience and Artistic Response
Part 3/11:
When World War I erupted, Dix volunteered eagerly, feeling compelled to experience the war firsthand. Assigned to the field artillery unit in Dresden and later serving as a non-commissioned officer at the Western Front, he fought at the Battle of the Somme and on the Eastern Front. His experiences in combat left indelible scars, both physical and psychological. He was wounded multiple times and awarded the Iron Cross Second Class for bravery.
Part 4/11:
His wartime drawings and paintings emerged early, with his notable series debuting in 1916. Deeply traumatized by the horrors he witnessed—images of destroyed houses, mutilated soldiers, and death—Dix's art became an outlet to process these nightmares. His powerful depictions of war's brutality—such as "War Invalids" (1920) and "Wounded Soldier" (1922)—highlight his disdain for how postwar society treated injured veterans.
Political and Social Critique Through Art
Part 5/11:
Masterpieces and Artistic Style
Part 6/11:
Betrayal under the Nazi Regime
Part 7/11:
In 1926, Dix became a professor at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, where he influenced a new generation of artists. However, the rise of the Nazis in the early 1930s marked a turning point. Adolf Hitler despised modern art, considering it degenerate, especially Dix's anti-war and socially critical pieces. His work was condemned, and he was forced to leave his teaching post. His paintings were exhibited at the infamous Degenerate Art exhibition in Munich and subsequently destroyed.
Part 8/11:
Part 9/11:
Part 10/11:
Part 11/11:
His work serves as a stark reminder of war's horrors, urging future generations to remember and learn from history’s darkest moments. Otto Dix’s art is a testament to the power of realism and expressionism, uniquely capturing the human psyche's depths and society’s moral failures amidst chaos.
For further exploration, see our related series on art and the Great War, illustrating how different artists responded to the trauma of this tumultuous period.

Few moments ago, I went to the balcony and I noticed two girls were enjoying the rain outside. It seems they are a quite romantic type. I found it funny. You can call me as an unromantic person also. By the day, do you love to get wet in the rain?
#rain #cool #environment #cent
At the moment where I live it's very sunny, but no, I don't like to get wet in the rain. Floor makes me sick.
I like to enjoy rain from window but I don't like it when I am outside.

I got a pretty good setup now. A little bit wasteful, but oh well That's what it takes to keep it alive longer. As I mentioned almost out of distilled water for my sauna sessions so I m breaking bad again 🤣
#grindsquad #duo #dook
All this time I thought tap water was used.
Ah, I see, that makes sense.
You do sauna sessions on your kitchen floor? 👀
Nope that just my temporary distilling operation once I fill up my 6 gallon jug I can put away the water distiller well maybe clean it and then put it away
Have a happy Saturday guys!

Part 1/15:
The New Rule 15 Explained
Part 2/15:
Previously, Steam operated under a set of 14 rules that governed what kinds of content developers could submit. The new Rule 15 states that content that may violate the policies of payment processors or related networks and banks could be banned. This is a critical distinction—it's not an outright ban on illegal content but a precautionary measure based on potential violations.
Part 3/15:
This change was not explicitly flagged in advanced communications, but sharp-eyed users and developers soon discovered that hundreds of adult-only games vanished from the platform almost overnight. Developers received a token gesture—$100 in store credits—as compensation, but the core issue remains: many titles that are legal in multiple jurisdictions, especially in adults-only niches, are being pulled under vague and broad interpretations of “may violate” policies.
The Power Shift and Its Impact
Part 4/15:
The motivation behind Valve’s move is rooted in the immense pressure exerted by payment processors. The platform confirmed in a statement to Rock Paper Shotgun that they pulled the games after being notified that certain titles might breach the standards set by financial institutions. The rationale is not legal compliance but risk mitigation: avoid losses or bans from major payment networks.
Part 5/15:
This showcases a critical vulnerability—Steam’s immense reach makes it a lucrative target for influence campaigns. Because the platform relies heavily on Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal—control over roughly 69% of global credit cards—Valve is effectively hostage to their policies. If these processors decide to withdraw or restrict certain types of content, Steam must capitulate or face losing access to crucial revenue streams.
The Role of Advocacy and External Pressure
Part 6/15:
Behind this shift is the influence of advocacy groups like Collective Shout, an Australian organization campaigning against the objectification of women and the sexualization of minors. They launched a campaign that mobilized over a thousand emails to companies like PayPal, Mastercard, and Visa, urging them to tighten restrictions on what could be processed.
Part 7/15:
While their stated goal is to reduce harmful and misogynistic content, critics argue that such pressure often leads to overreach, resulting in the removal of legal adult content and even artistic expression. The campaign piggybacked on previous victories, such as targeting mainstream games like Grand Theft Auto or Detroit: Become Human for their themes, but the real concern is the precedent it sets for broader censorship driven by external advocates.
The Case of No Mercy and Legal Content
Part 8/15:
Part 9/15:
The Broader Implications for Developers and Consumers
The repercussions extend beyond adult-themed titles. Platforms like itch.io have already begun to restrict access to adult, NSFW, or controversial content following similar pressure tactics. As a result, thousands of games, including high-art projects and niche independent titles (sometimes LGBT or minority-focused), have been hidden or removed. Developers now face an uncertain landscape where their content risks being banned based on subjective interpretations of “may violate” policies, not actual violations.
Part 10/15:
Part 11/15:
Part 12/15:
While Valve publicly promised in 2018 to defend creative freedom, recent events show that such promises are now history. Market realities and external pressures—particularly from activist groups and financial institutions—have proven too influential to resist.
Broader Societal and Legal Concerns
This development is emblematic of a broader trend where private corporations increasingly shape cultural norms and expressions. Their influence extends into legislation, with some regions passing laws targeting “objectionable” content—blurred lines that can be exploited to justify censorship.
Part 13/15:
The implications are worldwide. As payment processors set the parameters for what can be sold, the risk is that content considered legal and artistic in one country becomes inaccessible across the globe. The scope of censorship could expand rapidly, leading to a homogenized, sanitized digital landscape devoid of controversial or challenging material.
Concluding Thoughts: A Call for Vigilance and Democratic Oversight
Part 14/15:
Part 15/15:

How do you defeat your opponents if they far outnumber you?
You pit them against one another.
Of course that's not what's happening in the world right now...
Yeah, straight from Russia's playbook. They've been doing it for quite a while now. There were warnings but it still seems to working out quite well.
In the world everything is solved with power.
Restore draft feature isn't working, lost a draft I was about publishing some minutes ago. Checked on draft folder but nothing showed up. Fortunately, I had a copy on Notepad.
Right now, I can't set auto vote, keeps telling me something went wrong and to try again later.
I don't know if this is from my end or a general stuff.
#thread2earn #feedback
I always write my posts on PeakD, then copy and paste Inleo. PeakD keeps auto-saving drafts and never loses them.
I had to use Peakd to upload images, then copied to publish through Inleo.
Is your auto vote working ?
Yeah, I just write the whole thing, add pics on PeakD and then copy everything on Inleo.
I think the auto vote is working ok, at least voting power gets reduced
I've tried resetting mine but it's not working. I select the vote % manually now. But Khal just made a thread a while ago confirming the issues and that they're working on fixing it.
Ok, cool. Just gonna wait for the fix then.
Something similar happened to me a while ago. I rewrote the post. But in my case, I didn't make sure to save what I should have; what I saved was a blank page.
It's a pity. I don't understand what's happening with the site.
I don't understand it either.
Let's hope it gets fixed soon like Khal said

If you think otherwise you are part of the problem
You can't bring back retro nostalgia. World is too much damaged for that. I'd build for money too not because I want to be part of problem but I don't want to die like starving artist and forgoten broke developer.
I would hate to see the world that way. Sounds like a miserable existence
Not really what would be miserable is you build something died broke and your product came out in the world after your death. that's misery. money wins over principles or over life of any other person. We don't have to like it but that is how world works. I lived pro-Linux in past I was miserable open source guy NOW I use what makes money for me now, I am happy that way.
not true.
You say die and broke like that is bad.
Their is more to life than money and physical things.
I actually feel really sorry for you.
You must be in 1st world to think die and broke are good thing, they are not. There is nothing more to life other than money, people come and go, memories fade and in grand scheme only money survives, without it you'd be surviving every single day I suppose you're in comfort zone of that world so you feel there are other things important. You don't have to have to feel sorry for me. I lived from multiple layers of life to now a developer working for zurich based company.
This view shows you have no spritiual life.
I feel super sad for you.
That's very much presumptive of you to say that.

Have you decided on your strategy?
🔹Is the plan to merge to $TITN (arb), bridge to Base, and then stake to earn a share of around 70% of the fees? 🔹Will you merge and keep tokens in the merge contract for extra tokens and unclaimed $TITN (with the option to exit anytime)?
🔹Or a combination: leave some tokens in the merge contract while bridging and staking the rest?
