An interesting observation I heard recently: by the time a technology works flawlessly, all the alpha has disappeared. Early PCs were ridiculed as toys. The first iPhone was criticized for not having basic features like copy-paste. The internet was dismissed as a passing fad by many experts. Any other planned changes you may know? I mean, just rebranding is not going to work, and I fear this hype will just be a pull rug from the ones that have massed their accounts in the beginning and couldn't recover any of it, and now they are supporting this just to get their slim shaddy done.
Any suggestions? Technically speaking is possible and probably quite easy... but if there is no consensus, it will never happen.
