Let's take a first look at how the communities are performing during the early days of the August War!
FreeCompliments starts strong and maintains the lead! Immediately following are the Hive Naija community, Photographers, and Cent.
Congratulations on this start! We have other communities that are still warming up, and we might see them climb higher in the rankings as the race progresses. This time, we have a new section for referrals!
As you can see, this is the graphic we have been using up until now. It will be updated for the next report to include referrals and data from the Olio di Balena Community.
Referrals
You might have seen the announcement about Referrals; if not, here is the link.
This new referral system comes with incentives to onboard new users and mentor them in creating their first posts and threads.
In the August War, each community can have representatives who onboard new users, and their referrals will count towards the community total while they continue to earn rewards.
Each referral can be worth up to 50 points for the community and up to $50 for the referrer!
Reach out to your community leaders and create your winning strategy!

For long-form, we need to focus on our engagement.

I think there is still a disconnect on the people that are active on long and short format! :( need to find a way to get people to be active in both sides :D
Most users continue to think of achieving success by producing old-style content. Methods such as sharing threads, sharing long-form content between 50-150 words, and actively using comments are also extremely effective in achieving success. For this, I am developing the idea of a few short-term events and long-term calls to action. I hope it will be useful. And I hope we can make more users more active.
