LOH 281 // I Would Choose Working From Office
If there is no reason what so ever that stop going to work in the office, I prefer working from the office because it brings structure and clear boundaries to the workday. There’s no mistaking when it’s time to work and when it’s time to clock out. For me, this separation is crucial for maintaining work-life balance. Being physically present in an office also allows for direct collaboration with teammates and spontaneous conversations and maybe easy access to other departments. This can foster stronger relationships and promote a more dynamic team culture.

The office can also be more conducive to professional growth. Being present means you’re likely to have more face-to-face interactions, which can lead to better networking opportunities and quicker access to feedback. Especially if you have the creative or collaborative role, work from home might not be easy because there might be some distractions, the office environment can spark inspiration and provide opportunities for real-time brainstorming for those in creative or collaborative roles.
Even though the daily commute can be time-consuming and tiring, particularly for those who live far from their workplace but it is also part of the daily activities that need to be done.
The routine of commuting to the office and returning home helps establish boundaries that signal the start and end of the workday. And also this is crucial for mental clarity and maintaining a sense of balance. The office distractions is minimal, the noise from the coworkers to frequent meetings is what makes the office work fun.
The office environment also offers better access to resources, whether it's state-of-the-art technology, office supplies, or in-person support from colleagues and managers. The opportunities for career advancement and mentorship are often more readily available in an office setting, where spontaneous interactions with higher-ups can be a catalyst for personal and professional growth. That is why I just like the the social and professional benefits of office life.
