LOH 264 // A Dream Achieved My Younger Self Would Be Proud Of
Looking back, one of the dreams I had as a kid was simply to write. It sounds simple, but to my younger self, it was a massive aspiration. When I was a child, I had an intense love for books. Just name it, being stories, characters, and worlds that seemed so real to me. But what I admired most were the authors and I want to be like them. They had the power to create entire universes with nothing more than words. I remember telling myself, "One day, I want to be the one creating those stories."

Growing up, though, reality started to set in. As much as I loved the idea of writing, I struggled with self-doubt. I wasn’t sure if my ideas were any good or if anyone would even care to read them. I will write and scrapped it for the feared failure. Even though it is one of the things I love the most I could do it because I think " who will read it" Like many others, I followed a more conventional path, pursuing things that felt more “secure” and opted for just filling that dream with reading other people's work and do something else that doesn't speak to my passions but offered stability and financial security. Still, in the back of my mind, I couldn’t shake the dream of becoming a writer. Every time I read something that inspired me, I’d feel that familiar tug and said to myself that I could do that too.
Years went by, and although I didn’t give up completely on the idea of writing, I certainly didn’t prioritize it. But as I got to know about hive I realised that even if I can't become the writer I want, at least I can always share my thoughts with people on this platform and here I am today, joining contest, writing about random things make me feel satisfied.
Even though I know deep within me that I'm not close to a good writer but at least, people her are not so discriminating, they read, drop comment and even make corrections. If I could go back in time and tell my younger self about what I’ve achieved, I think she’d be both amazed and incredibly proud. She would have never believed that one day, her words would be shared with my people. But that’s the beauty of chasing a dream: you never know where it will take you, and sometimes, the journey is just as important as the destination.
Thank for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
