Before, I don't watch anime because I believe it was for the kids but after watching Naruto, it totally changed my perspective about anime. Anime can be actions, musical, romance and even anime-inspired fashion, conventions, and even video games, the influence of anime and manga is undeniable and it has indeed captivate the people.

Anime and manga offer a rich, visually stunning, and emotionally complex experience. The art style, it's often colorful, expressive, and dynamic and all this is one of the first things that draw people in including me. But beyond the surface, the storytelling is where anime truly shines. It explores a wide range of genres, action, drama, romance, horror, fantasy, slice-of-life, and even psychological thrillers allowing it to appeal to all types of audiences.

Characters in anime and manga are deeply been redefine, often facing personal challenges and growth throughout the series. These multidimensional personalities are one of the reasons why I find strong connections to my favorite characters. The perseverance in the face of adversity or the relatable struggles, which i find myself identifying with the characters in ways I can't understand.

Personally, the character I most identify with is Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto. Growing up, I struggled with feelings of loneliness and being misunderstood, much like Naruto, who spent his childhood isolated from others due to the demon fox sealed within him. Despite this, Naruto’s unyielding optimism and determination to prove his worth resonated with me on a deep level. His journey from being an outcast to becoming the leader of his village mirrors the internal battle of finding one’s place in the world.

And there is this other character that I identify with,Hinata Hyuga, also from Naruto. Though initially shy and reserved, Hinata undergoes a beautiful transformation, learning to step outside of her comfort zone and find strength within herself. As someone who’s struggled with self-doubt and insecurity, her growth inspired me to push through my own limitations and embrace my potential.

I also find myself drawn to Yuki Nagato from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Yuki is intelligent, introverted, and somewhat detached from the world around her, yet she remains fiercely loyal to her friends. Her cool and calm demeanor often reflects how I approach challenging situations, keeping a level head in the face of chaos. But just like Yuki, I also appreciate the quiet moments of connection that remind me of the importance of being there for the people who matter most.

I saw the pieces of myself reflected in these fictional worlds of this anime characters. With their struggles, triumphs, and quiet moments of introspection, those anime provides a unique medium for exploring personal identity, relationships, and growth which resonate with me on a deeply personal level from all walks of life.

Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day

Naruto is among the first animes I had followed. As my family watched it together I thought it just another Japanese cartoon but as the episodes go on the character of Naruto is slowly revealed, more than an overactive mouthy kid. A long running anime but we get to know know, cheer and celebrate with Naruto as he pursues his calling to be Hokage.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya., I may just add to my watch/reading list, it will bw a long flight. ✈️

It is as you stated in your last paragraph,

”...anime provides a unique medium for exploring personal identity, relationships, and growth which resonate with me on a deeply personal level from all walks of life.” 👍
