CC-WEEK23 // Gadgets Are Cute, But Trust Them At Your Own Risk.
Everybody talk about loyalty all talk about such as loyal friends, a loyal partners, loyal pets but nobody remembers to warn me about unloyal gadgets that can betray you when you least expect. Yes, the very devices we charge everyday, update, protect with screen guards using our money, and even whisper sweet nothings to (“please, don’t die on 1%”). Yet, when betrayal happens, we never expect it and it’s always spectacular.
Well, when my phone decided to audition for the role of Biggest Snitch of the Year, it caught me unaware and in the most embarrassing way

I was in market buying all the things I need to get for the family and God so good, I got everything I need from a store. I sat there watching as the sales girl get my things together and when she was done, the calculated everything and gave me the price and it was even lower than my initial budget because it was all on wholesales.
I was about to make a payment when my phone started misbehaving. I tried to offer the data and reboot it but I don't know how the Bluetooth on my phone on and connect with the store speaker until My phone started to ring and not just any ringing tone, that particular day, it chose local tone like that of the priest own on the highest level.
The room froze. Heads turned. Someone choked on their water. And the worst part? My phone refused to stop. The buttons weren't working. The screen wasn’t responding. Even Siri abandoned me like, “Girl, you’re on your own.”
To make the things worst, I was unable to send money and they are all looking me with that kind of eye that say are you here to scam us. I even heard some workers says "she doesn't have money to pay, I hope she won't charm us and carry the goods". I just swallowed on nothing because I have nothing to say, I tried to call my husband but my phone betrayed me to the end. I was trying to call my husband but it was dialling my sister's number and in the end, I asked her to help me send the money to them that I will return it when I get home and she was the one that save me from the embarrassment.
And if you think that was my only betrayal story, please sit down. Because my gadget drama has chapters.
There was also the time autocorrect tried to destroy my social life. I meant to text a friend, “I’m bringing snacks.” My phone decided the world needed chaos and changed it to: “I’m bringing snakes.”
My friend replied, “??? Why?” I said, “Snacks!” Autocorrect said, “Snakes.” At that point, even I started doubting myself.
And then, the voice note incident—the one that still haunts me. I was ranting to my best friend about someone who had annoyed me. I poured my soul out. Even shakespeare would’ve been proud. When I hit send, I realized… I had sent it to the SAME person I was talking about.
Not just a text. A WHOLE. VOICE. NOTE, that I poured my heart and soul to, With emotions, sound effects, and a bonus sigh.
My phone just sat there like, “Good luck explaining THAT.”
Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
