A Little Magic in the Sky

I’ve always liked looking up at the sky, but recently I found myself paying extra attention because of something I learned about, iridescent clouds. They’re not your everyday clouds. These ones form really high up in the atmosphere, and when sunlight hits the tiny ice particles inside them just right, they glow in soft, shifting colors. It’s called irisation, and honestly, it sounds as magical as it looks.

What made it even more interesting to me was the idea that seeing one might bring good luck. I know, it sounds a bit superstitious. But still, who wouldn’t want a little extra luck? Ever since I heard that, I caught myself glancing up at the sky more often than usual, almost hoping I’d get lucky enough to see one.

And then, yesterday, I did.
I wasn’t even expecting it. I just happened to look up, and there it was, a soft, glowing cloud with hints of pink and green shimmering through it. It didn’t look real at first. The colors were so gentle but so striking at the same time. I actually paused for a moment just to take it all in. It felt calm, quiet… almost like the world slowed down for a second.

I won’t lie, a small part of me thought, “Maybe this is my lucky moment.” But even without that, it still felt special. Sometimes it’s not even about luck, it’s just about experiencing something rare and beautiful that you didn’t expect.

That moment reminded me how easy it is to get caught up in everything we’re doing and forget to look around, or in this case, look up. There’s so much beauty in simple things, and sometimes it shows up when you least expect it.
If you ever see an iridescent cloud, take a second to enjoy it. Whether it brings luck or not, it’s definitely something you won’t forget.. my phone camera did not do justice, but i can tell it os so beautiful.
