Why We Ended Up Eating at a Different Restaurant?

Two days ago, my brother celebrated his 35th birthday. He didn’t want to prepare any food for his birthday because he preferred that we just have dinner out. However, it rained heavily from morning until evening on his birthday, so he decided to celebrate on another day when the weather would be better.

Yesterday, the weather was good. It finally got warm again after several days of continuous rain, so he decided that we would go out for dinner.

When we arrived in Inopacan, which is actually our usual place to eat whenever we’re in Leyte, I immediately noticed a restaurant. We hadn’t tried it before, so I suggested that we try a different restaurant this time. My mom and my younger sibling agreed, especially since we all thought the ambiance looked nice. It was open, and from the upper floor you could see the view of the surrounding area.

However, we were a bit disappointed because when we placed our order, almost everything we wanted wasn’t available. We were really looking forward to eating there, but what could we do when about 80% of what we wanted wasn’t available?

To make things worse, we asked what kind of fish they used for their grilled fish, and they told us they didn’t know because they only buy fish once someone places an order. Because of that, we decided not to continue.

I told my mom that I really wanted to eat there because the ambiance was nice, but if that was the situation, it would be better to transfer to another restaurant. So that’s why we ended up eating at a different restaurant.

The restaurant where we ended up eating is actually our usual go-to place whenever there’s a family occasion. We really like their food, the taste is good, the service is fast, and the staff are very accommodating.

However, sometimes it’s also nice to try something new. But if the other restaurant hardly has anything available, it just makes more sense to go back to the one we already know and love

This restaurant mainly offers Filipino dishes. I can honestly say that their food is really well-seasoned and flavorful. That’s also one of the reasons why many people keep coming back to this place.

We’re also thankful that we didn’t continue with the first restaurant we went to, because otherwise we might have ended up frustrated, hungry and waiting too long for our food. Instead, we went home full and satisfied with both the food and the service at our go-to Kan-anan Restaurant.
