Simple Joys: My Photography Journey

Happy Saturday Hivers!

Compared to others, my photos aren’t that impressive. Some people’s shots make you say “wow” at first glance, the angle is just right and everything is captured so beautifully. I haven’t reached that level yet. But no matter how much I try to turn my back on photography, my hands still instinctively reach for my phone whenever I see something beautiful worth capturing.

This is one of the things I truly miss about traveling. Aside from meeting new faces and visiting new places, I get to see so many moments and scenes that are worth capturing through photos.

I’m not very good at photo editing yet. I actually enjoy taking photos more than editing them, so my interest in editing is quite minimal. That’s why I use Lightroom, mainly for its automatic editing features. All of these photos were edited there.

Actually, I only edited the colors. I just enhanced them a bit. The original colors of the photo were somewhat dull, so I adjusted them to make the image more vibrant and visually pleasing.

For this first photo, I don’t know the name of the flower. I saw it during my trip to Valencia, Negros Oriental, in the mountainous area. The flower caught my attention, so I captured it.

The second photo is a flower called a cosmos. It was growing near grassy fields. While my mom and I were walking, I noticed it, and its color was what really highlighted its beauty.

The third photo is a gumamela. One of the things I really love capturing is raindrops. While I was looking at the flower, I noticed a raindrop on it, so I quickly took out my phone and captured the moment.

The fourth photo is a lighthouse. I don’t know if it’s just me, but whenever I see a lighthouse, it’s always something I feel drawn to photograph.

The last photo was captured at one of the beautiful beaches in Siquijor. It’s what they call “Mini Boracay,” and it really does resemble Boracay with its fine white sand.

Photography brings joy to my heart. I hope you enjoyed looking at the photos.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!

Namaste! I am fond of reading books, watching korean, american and filipino series/movies and I am also fond of gardening. I love listening to different life stories and I am always captivated with the beauty of nature so travel is my escape when life turns into blue. But hey, how could I forget my photography hobby? It is one of the best, so follow me as I will be featuring my experiences of the stuff that I am passionate with.
