Exploring Solea Mactan Cebu: Pools, Views, and Good Vibes

Solea Mactan Cebu Resort is located in Cordova, Cebu. If you're traveling from Talisay City, Cebu, the best route is via the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX). It is the shorter and faster option since there is usually less traffic compared to other routes.

The journey from our home in Talisay to the resort takes about an hour, although the travel time may vary depending on the traffic situation in Talisay. Once you reach CCLEX, the drive becomes smooth and quick because only a few vehicles typically use the expressway, making it easy to reach the resort in no time.

My family went to Solea Resort last friday. This trip was extra special because it was my brother's 50th birthday celebration. To make the milestone even more memorable, his two children decided to celebrate it with the whole family at the beautiful Solea Mactan Cebu Resort.

The celebration became even more exciting because one of my brother's children had just returned from Canada and planned a surprise homecoming. Only my mom, my younger brother, and I knew about the surprise. The rest of the family, including my brother and his wife, had no idea that their child was already back in the Philippines.

Since we arrived at the resort early and dinner was still hours away, we decided to make the most of our time by exploring the resort and enjoying its beautiful surroundings.

After we parked, we took a leisurely walk around the resort grounds until we came across the signages and pathways. We simply followed the directional signs, which led us to the Aqua Park, Aqua Play and the beach.

The Aqua Play area for kids was quiet, and no one was using it during our visit. It's also much smaller compared to the Aqua Park.

After spending some time at the Aqua Play area, we followed the pathway again and eventually found the Aqua Park. It was much livelier there, with both kids and adults swimming and clearly enjoying themselves.

The Aqua Park offers a variety of activities that make the experience fun and exciting for everyone. It definitely requires energy, though, since you’ll be climbing up the inflatables. What makes it even more thrilling is the challenge of reaching the top, it’s not easy because your feet can slip, or the inflatable can move, causing you to lose balance and fall into the water.

After exploring the Aqua Park, we followed the pathway once again until we reached the beach. Cordova is well known for its rocky beaches, and when we arrived, I noticed that the sand didn't seem to be natural. Even so, the guests were still enjoying their time by the beach.

It's still a lovely beach to relax and unwind. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the cool sea breeze makes it even more refreshing. It's the perfect spot for anyone whose main purpose for traveling is to take a break, recharge, and simply enjoy a relaxing getaway.

My sister-in-law and my mom, who were with me, also enjoyed exploring the resort grounds. Meanwhile, my dad and my other siblings headed straight to the Aqua Park. Instead of joining the activities, they had fun watching the guests climb the inflatable obstacles. They couldn't help but laugh every time someone lost their balance and splashed into the water, making the experience entertaining even for those who were just watching.

After exploring the beach, we headed back to the Aqua Park to meet up with my other siblings. We then agreed to make our way to the restaurant, where we would meet the rest of the family. While I was busy exploring the resort and taking photos, I was also constantly communicating with my nephew to check where he was. Looking back, I can't help but laugh because my brother and the rest of the family had absolutely no idea that a surprise was waiting for them.

Well, the resort is truly beautiful. From the moment you enter, you're welcomed by lush trees that create a relaxing atmosphere, making it enjoyable to stroll around the property. The entire resort is also very clean and well-maintained. The pools are spacious, giving guests plenty of room to swim, play, and enjoy their stay.
