I have used all my witness votes. Because I think that it's important to be as involved as possible in Hive Governance. But I think I need to spend more time researching the witnesses that I have voted for.

Currently, my method is:

  1. Vote for Liotes.
  2. Avoid the top 20. Because I read many posts that speak to a kind of corruption among a cabal of around 10 of them. Without ever naming those that they distrust.
  3. Vote for witnesses with APR set to at least 20%.

So the research I need to do is:

  1. Try to understand who, what, and why about the aforementioned 'cabal'. Maybe that's as simple as avoiding anyone who supports Hive promotion through the inexplicable funding of a car.
  2. Also try to understand how the HBD APR affects the Hive economy.
  3. Most importantly, investigate witnesses beyond the data listed in the Witnesses voting pages. In order to see the real contributions that they make to the Hive ecosystem.
