Bitcoin Pizza Day: Una celebración que une a la comunidad [ESP//ENG]

Este pasado 22 de mayo tuvimos la oportunidad de reunirnos en Valencia, Venezuela para festejar ese momento histórico del 2010 cuando Laszlo Hanyecz, programador y pionero en la minería de Bitcoin, intercambió 10.000 Bitcoins por dos pizzas grandes. Jeremy Sturdivant, quien aceptó la oferta publicada en el foro Bitcointalk, compró las pizzas en Papa John’s y se las entregó a Hanyecz.

Hola mi gente de LifeStyle paso por aquí para contarles cómo fue mi celebración del Bitcoin Pizza Day, ese evento marcó un antes y un después y hasta la fecha nos está haciendo reunirnos con la comunidad de ecosistema cripto para seguir creciendo y creyendo en este proyecto que al parecer aún tiene mucho por darnos.

Debo decir que llegué tarde, cuando llegué ya había comenzado la competencia de las pizzas, ya había unos cuantos compitiendo por comerse una pizza completa. Me divirtió ser la que le hizo porras a la gente para que ganara. Ese fue el primer concurso de la noche, porque luego entregaron más premios.

Durante la noche sortearon gorras, medias, franelas, tazas y otros premios en metálico. Yo no me gané nada, pero me alegró ver a la gente feliz y saltando recibiendo sus premios, durante la noche.

Yo de recuerdo me traje stickers bellísimos de pizzas y la bonita satisfacción de ver a la comunidad aún activa a pesar de todo. Debo decir que el trabajo de Natalia Loreto y Manuel Sánchez durante estos años ha sido tremendo para sacar este evento adelante. Mi total agradecimiento por hacer estos espacios posibles para la comunidad, que además debo decir que son necesarios para crear esos lazos de apoyo que nos permitan seguir creciendo.

Y la verdad confieso que me quedo esperando lo que se viene para el próximo año, porque una cosa sí es segura. Pase lo que pase, siempre comeremos pizza cada Bitcoin Pizza Day.

This past May 22nd, we had the opportunity to gather in Valencia, Venezuela to celebrate that historic moment in 2010 when Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer and pioneer in Bitcoin mining, exchanged 10,000 Bitcoins for two large pizzas. Hello my Lifestyle people, I'm stopping by to tell you how my Bitcoin Pizza Day celebration went. That event marked a before and after, and to this day it brings us together with the crypto ecosystem community to continue growing and believing in this project that seems to still have a lot to give us.

I must say that I arrived late; when I got there, the pizza competition had already started. There were quite a few people competing to eat a whole pizza. I had fun being the one cheering people on so they would win. That was the first contest of the night, because later they gave out more prizes.

During the night, they raffled off caps, socks, shirts, mugs, and other cash prizes. I didn't win anything, but it made me happy to see people happy and jumping around receiving their prizes throughout the night.

As a souvenir, I brought back beautiful pizza stickers and the nice satisfaction of seeing the community still active despite everything. I must say that the work of Natalia Loreto and Manuel Sánchez over these years has been tremendous in making this event happen. My total gratitude for making these spaces possible for the community, which I must also say are necessary to create those support networks that allow us to continue growing.

And the truth is, I confess that I'm looking forward to what's coming next year, because one thing is for sure. Whatever happens, we will always eat pizza every Bitcoin Pizza Day.
