Strategy adds $740M of Bitcoin as price surges past $122K

Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, added $740 million worth of Bitcoin last week as the cryptocurrency's price surged past $122,000. The company purchased 6,220 BTC at an average price of $118,940 per coin, raising its total Bitcoin holdings to 607,770 BTC with a cumulative investment of approximately $43.6 billion at an average cost of $71,756 per Bitcoin.

This purchase solidifies Strategy's position as the largest corporate Bitcoin holder globally, owning about 3.05% of all Bitcoin ever mined.

Despite Bitcoin pricing below its all-time high of $130,000, Strategy has continued its regular buying pattern with this being its second acquisition in July 2025.

Following this purchase, Strategy's year-to-date Bitcoin profit improved to 20.8%, reflecting effective capital allocation amid the recent price rally and market volatility. Strategy’s persistent accumulation underlines its conviction in Bitcoin as a long-term treasury reserve asset amid a bullish crypto market environment.
