A moment of Tears & Joy || Departure of Our Mentees || We'll always remember your good services rendered for our school

One year of mentoring is milestone for us; either good or bad. It calls for joy and at the same times sorrows filled our heart as we're leaving the school today for our various destination for the continuation of our services. We wouldn't forget the love we established here in this Institution. We lived as one family with unity and one stuff. Through the cohesion we didn't see any difference between the Mentees and their Mentors; we were seen as one for the 12 months we had so far spent here. We wouldn't forget our daily feast together which you inculcated in us and everywhere we will go we'll remember this and practice accordingly. The Lead Mentee was expressing this remarks at the gathering during their departure.

I say this with a heavy heart ❤️ as our Mentees are departing from our school today ( Anansu Presby Junior High School). All because they are bringing their "teaching practices" to a successful end. 12 months mentoring in teaching isn't a small journey as we see. The long duration isn't nothing, but the association of activities that come with is what matters. As a practicing teacher, you're always under training, coming to school daily when school is in session, reporting very early before the permanent teachers, making sure that the students tidy up the compound and taking their teaching seriously in order to get higher score marks. Above all they had to be always armed like a soldier who is in the battle field. Their college supervisors would come at any point in time to check their work output and teaching in class which they wouldn't know the day. They have really passed all these tests with time

The Mentees established good rapports with both teachers and students. They never exempted themselves from any co-curricular activities which were carried out in the school. The demonstrated a high knowledge of the content and subject matter of their field to which they were brought here to practice. They also learnt the teaching ethics in both the classroom and outside classrooms environment; after all, teaching isn't only practice in classroom but learning how to relate well with the community is also part of teacher behavior we must emulate. They exhibited a sense of good behavior and respect for all manners of people. I think they now deserve to be sent to the field as a qualified teacher who have received good training from their Mentors. After all, teaching and learning is a process, the more you be in the system the more that you learn new things, we never finish learning unless we die.

It was time to honour their effort and show our appreciation as permanent teachers. At least their 12 months of service they have really being committed to their work and taking a the lion share of task as student teachers. We don't have any bigger things to offer, but something little to show our appreciation. We parcelled some nice designed clothes well rapped for each of the Mentees. After few advice and fun 😊 making, we presented to each of the 10 Mentees,6 females and 4 males. The students also did well by buying some items and parcel to for their Mentees.

The Mentees also did well to show their appreciation by giving the staff ceiling fan. If someone gives you money you may use to purchase food and eat but if he present something like fine, any time you use it would remind you of the person who gave to you. I think with this ceiling fan, anytime we use, it would remind us of these Mentees. We would by all means miss them in so many ways. But we can't do anything since we were once Mentees some days ago before becoming a permanent teachers.

We showed our last respect by taking a lot of pictures to remember them. Meanwhile a lot of indoor games has already taken place to make the students become happy. After the present and talks, we closed the school so that those who would want to go to their hometown can get a chance to leave. So, today is the last day we may see our Mentees here in our school. Even if it happens that we'll see them, it maybe on different purpose. We thank everyone who make this day a success and for witnessing this memorable day with us. Thanks once again for your attention!
