Stop. Pause... Continue

Earlier today, I wanted to vent about life, my health, the economy, my fears, concerns, and mental health. However, I had a lot to take care of before I did that, and when I returned to write my thoughts, I suddenly lost the courage and zeal to do so. I began to wonder why I had suddenly lost interest.

I was really sure I woke up wanting to rant, the night wasn't the most pleasant for me, I have been having some serious food poisoning episode for a week now, coupled with a few other things, and just taken some hours to handle other real life business took the sting out of me.

It is not that I am no longer frustrated, or that my health has improved; nothing has changed that mental state, but I have realized that allowing time to pass without constantly dwelling on the voices inside my head has somewhat deafened them.

When people think about life issues, it builds inside of them until it reaches an apex, which manifests as visible anger, sadness, and disappointment.
I classify myself as an overthinker because I allow my thought process to become complex. I do not ask open-ended questions.

Sometimes a regular person's thought process leads to an obvious conclusion, such as a half-baked solution to an obvious problem, but sometimes I go above and beyond by asking "what if the obvious answer is not enough?" I grew up around people who thought my thought processes were morbid.

I did not choose to be like this.

......But I have been exposed to a lot of things in life, seen some of life's harsh realities, and imagined things that regular thoughts would not, and this has made me a very edgy person.

People counteract negative/realistic thoughts about life with pleasant, dreamy, or satisfying thoughts. This is how we cope

When people do not have money, they frequently fantasize about future happy times when their financial difficulties will be over and they will not have to suffer again; however, they are not working toward that future, but rather relying on hope.

Mind you, a miracle is not the same as hope; miracles are divine phenomena that occur as a result of divine intervention, whereas hope is simply a place of comfort built on no existential foundation of proof.

Nevertheless, hope is powerful.

I am not going to stand here and say it is not; that would be completely incorrect; I am just saying that when hope is based on everyday things, the chances of a positive outcome are slimmer.

However, hope is what allows us to live our lives free of worry. This sometimes prevents our worries from piling up and causing harm to our mental health. Sometimes having positive thoughts in negative situations allows us to live another day, which is enormous.

Sometimes people do not live for today. The thought of their suffering being over, of seeing their children, of finally having a good financial situation after working so hard for so many years is a powerful motivator to keep striving.

However, even at the pinnacle of human understanding, we still do not understand how the paranormal state of life influences so much of what happens in the normal state of life.

For someone who thinks deeply. It is both a blessing and a curse.

Back then, I tried to distract myself from my feelings of uncertainty by hanging out with certain types of people. Fortunately for me, my job was one of the reasons I did not fall into depression. It helped me procrastinate. It did not allow me to have the serious thoughts I needed because they obviously left me with a lot of worries.

Many people believe that worrying is bad for their health and causes high blood pressure and other medical problems. However, excessive physical and mental exertion is the cause. Worrying does not solve problems or make you unhappy, but it does keep you aware.

Many people in life try to dull their senses of awareness by repeating positive thoughts; some even resort to alcohol and other illegal substances.

The things you refuse to worry about do not go away; they exist; however, as humans, we enjoy putting up mental barriers and procrastinating difficult tasks in order to be free.

For example, if you do not worry about money, your bills will not pay themselves; it is that simple, and no amount of positive thinking will change that. The Bible itself states that faith without work is dead. Worrying is not something to be despised; it is simply staying aware of your problems and putting them into perspective.

However, while everyone deserves to be free of life's problems, being deserved does not mean anything.

At the end of the day, balance is key.

For a while, I felt better and decided not to say or post what I wanted to. It is not that bad, but I just did not feel as worried or jittery as I did in the morning, so I decided not to. It is not because the problems have disappeared. I am aware of them, but I suppose there is no harm in being free for a moment and then returning to bear those thoughts again.

Yes, eventually we don't want all that awareness to actually overcrowd us. Thanks for the comment

If you ever hope that you will be fine and things will go well for you, it will surely be like that
We gotta live in hope till it happens
I wish you the best!

I believe that Hope is different from prayers and it's definitely only prayers that works miracles, any other thing won't.

I love your definition of both miracle and hope. A lot of people depend solely on hope to change their circumstances which is a good thing but when you only hope and not do anything is what makes it senseless. Worrying isn't a bad thing if done minimal because yes, it keeps us aware of what we are going through but at the same time, we shouldn't let it take over our mind to the extent that we start to question life in the negative way.

Yeah, hope is good, but if it's not backed, then it's mostly standing on nothing. Hope changes nothing, it's only a phenomenon, and although I think it plays it's own part.
As for worrying, thank you. Yes, I do believe there has to be a sort of balance, else it becomes to much

When it comes down to it money and problems just plain suck... But the fact that they do doesn't make them vanish and go away. Just part of what we have to deal with in life.

I also would bury myself in work to forget about problems and also kept me from becoming depressed so I understand that 100%. Us men tend to do that...

It never hurts to dream and have hope, sometimes it's all we have to keep ourselves going!

Money problems are just one of a kind, unfortunately most things people need to keep going is dependent on money, so it'll always be an issue that nothing can take away.

I think nowadays there aren't many places where you get supportive co-workers like I did back in the day. Inasmuch the job I had 7 years ago was physically and mentally draining, it kept me away from depression for so long.

I didn't really start knowing depression until lately.

I hear you there...I fight off the depression as much as I can too. But somedays it wins and I really get nothing done. At least having some support here is helpful I find. Part of the reason I got involved in DUO token was to give me some "work" to focus on which has been nice. When you're health is a problem it affects everything, so I'm constantly trying to keep myself going... If that makes any sense...

I don't know where I would classify myself like you did, whether overthinker or not. But I know it's actually good that sometimes we just let our minds free or some weights.
I always wish you a better life and improvement in your health status. Enjoy your day boss.

Well, I think everyone knows the type of person they are, unless they're not paying attention or they want to deny it. Yes, it's always good to let off a few weight.

I think that people are just human. There are going to be times when things don't well and it doesn't hurt to take some time to relax or being free for some moment. So I think it's good to find something that you can do to keep your mind distracted.
