A Day at the Mall with Friends (FUN, FUN, FUN!) 🤸‍♀️ // Darkness to Light✨

What's up, dear Hive friends? 💓 I hope everyone is well and doing good!🥰
For this post, please allow me to share a "day in the life" kind of blog. We all have seen this kind of content in vlogs, right? Let's have it in blog form this time haha.
A couple of weeks ago I met with my friends at a local mall which seems to be popular to tons of Cebuanos - SM Seaside. You see, people here in Cebu love to bond with friends and families at malls, because (1) it's cold as it's air-conditioned, away from PH heat haha and (2) there's so much activities that can be explored inside a mall plus it's safe, especially for children.
Anyhoo, my friends and I met for some "girl chat" time and I was truly blessed by one of my friends' life story. She shared about how she got her anxiety and how she currently battling it. I was blessed by her humility as she shared her story and laid out her heart. I was even moved to tears.
I was also able to share them my struggles and stress at the workplace - which they also totally related to! Before we knew it was were sharing some practical tricks and tips on stress management and ultimately have work-life balance.
To end the awesome day, we went shopping! Haha. It was more like window shopping though as we were all becoming more practical with our finances lol #adulting101. It was so much fun going from store to store and chatting and laughing and sharing crazy jokes haha! It was like we were in high school again.
Before I end this post, please again allow me to share this beautifully written "wisdom article" from my LinkedIn subscription👇👇👇
There was a time in my life when I woke up every morning feeling the weight of a mountain on my chest. Each day felt like an eternity, trying to battle my own mind, the highs and lows of bipolar disorder taking me on a relentless roller coaster. At my lowest, I questioned my worth, my purpose, and the meaning of it all. The darkness that enveloped me wasn't just the absence of light; it was a suffocating blanket of despair and uncertainty.
But as I journeyed through that arduous terrain, I came to a profound realization. Acceptance. Accepting my condition wasn't a sign of defeat, but an act of courage. By acknowledging my struggle, I was better equipped to face it head-on. I learned that mental health is an ongoing process, a delicate balance of self-care, seeking support, and understanding oneself. And the more I embraced my reality, the more I recognized that my attitude was the compass directing my path. Every challenge became an opportunity, every setback a lesson. Through therapy, introspection, and relentless determination, I carved out my path to healing, using my past pains as the stepping stones.
Amid this journey, I set small, achievable goals for myself. From simple tasks like making my bed every morning to setting aside time for self-reflection and personal growth. These goals became my anchors, grounding me during my lowest lows and propelling me forward during my highest highs. The significance of these goals wasn't just in their accomplishment but in the journey of pursuing them—the discipline, resilience, and tenacity it instilled in me.
Even amidst life's storms and chasms, remember: every step you take on the tightrope of mental health is supported by the safety net of acceptance, therapy, and love. Embrace the journey, for the sunlit breakthroughs are just on the horizon.
Over the years, my story of transformation and self-development became a testament to the boundless potential within each one of us. I often recount my journey not as a tale of sorrow but as an anthem of hope, emphasizing the sheer power of attitude and the will to change. Your perception, your mindset, can change your reality. It's not just about seeing the glass half full, but understanding that even if it's half empty, it's in your hands to fill it up.
Today, standing at a vantage point of happiness and contentment, I look back at my past not with regret but with gratitude. Gratitude for the challenges that molded me, the despair that fueled my determination, and the experiences that shaped my perspective. Through my narrative, I hope to inspire you. To remind you that no matter how dark the night, dawn is inevitable. The journey might be tumultuous, but the destination is worth every trial and tribulation.
So, to anyone reading this, know that your journey, your struggles, your story, is unique, valuable, and powerful. Use it. Let it drive you. Embrace the transformative power of attitude and self-development, for in them lie the keys to unlocking the best version of yourself.
Every one of us traverses through life's unpredictable terrains, sometimes finding ourselves in the deep valleys of doubt, despair, and overwhelming challenges. But remember this: it is during these very moments, in the depth of our struggles, that we discover our true strength. Your battles, whether with mental health, personal hurdles, or unforeseen adversities, are a testament to your resilience. Bipolar disorder, or any challenge you face, doesn’t define you; it's the courage you muster, the acceptance you embrace, and the mindset you adopt that truly shapes your narrative.
Embrace your journey, every high and low, as a pathway to growth and self-discovery. Our attitude, the lens through which we view our circumstances, holds the transformative power to turn obstacles into opportunities. While the road to mental health management and self-betterment may be ongoing, never underestimate the profound impact of setting goals and the tenacity to see them through. With each step, no matter how small, you're not just moving forward, you're rising, evolving, and becoming the beacon of inspiration for countless others. Remember, it's not about where you've been, but where you're headed, fueled by an indomitable spirit and a heart full of hope.
