"Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars." - Khalil Gibran

Scars. I was so afraid to get them when I was young. Aren't you? We were all told that we "should behave" and avoid getting hurt or else we'll get scars and these scars do not look good. It's just crazy how, when we're grown, we have a different perspective on scars. Now I see scars and I think: these scars mean battles won, with a victorious soldier who was brave enough to face the war. It kind of sounds like silly but if you really think about it, it's true.

So yeah - hey you, victorious fellas who are here in the Hive-bloggosphere!👋 How are we all doing? I see your scars and let me be the first to say that I am proud of how far you've come in this life. 🫶

Speaking of scars, I have quite a few scars from my Pebbles' scratches haha. But they are all worth it! Yep - we spent quality time yesterday as it was a holiday. I and Pebbles, alongside Kendra, our Mother, Ate Rica, Ate Eve and Ate Babi, went to Charlie's Cup café by the mountain. We took a few group photos and of course I had some solo shots. The area was picturesque and breathtaking - and I soaked it all in!! All the beauty! All its glory! And think about how far I have come - from being too afraid of having scars, to courageously not having to hide my battle scars in front of the people I love dearly.

Here below is something you would ponder upon about scars. It's from my LinkedIn newsletter subscription.

✉️📩👉Every scar tells a story, a memory etched onto the canvas of our skin. But more than the physical marks we bear, it's the unseen scars, those deep emotional and psychological wounds, that truly shape our essence. I recall the time I stood in front of a mirror, scrutinizing each imperfection, letting each one whisper tales of inadequacy and failure. But what if, instead of viewing these scars as blemishes, we saw them as badges of endurance, symbols of battles fought and lessons learned?

I remember juggling the weight of personal and professional responsibilities, feeling the strain of trying to meet everyone's expectations, including my own. One evening, after a particularly grueling day, I sank into my chair and found an old photo of myself. The younger version looked back, free of scars, both literal and metaphorical. It dawned on me that while the scars represented pain, they also epitomized growth, resilience, and the countless moments of overcoming. It's in these moments of introspection that we must ask ourselves: would we truly prefer a life untouched by experiences, however painful, if it meant missing out on the profound wisdom they impart?

My journey to self-acceptance wasn't linear. There were times I was on the verge of giving in to the internal voices that magnified my flaws. But with each stumble, with each setback, I began to realize that my scars were not chains holding me back but anchors grounding me, reminding me of who I was and how far I'd come. By confronting and embracing these imperfections, I learned to see them as integral parts of my unique story.

Every reflection tells a story; embrace the journey, scars and all, for they are the chapters of resilience and growth that make you beautifully unique.

To anyone reading this, grappling with their own scars and the universal feelings of not being enough: remember, it's through the cracks that light enters. Instead of hiding or being ashamed of your scars, wear them with pride. Let them be a testament to your strength, your resilience, and your journey. It's okay to feel vulnerable, to have moments of doubt, but never forget that you are more than your scars; you are a tapestry of experiences, woven with threads of courage, determination, and hope.

In my quest for self-acceptance, I've discovered that our scars, whether visible or hidden deep within, are what make us uniquely beautiful. So, to those struggling to find their worth amidst the chaos and challenges: pause, breathe, and remember that your scars are not blemishes to be concealed but stories to be told. Embrace them, learn from them, and let them guide you towards a more authentic, empowered self.

In life, it's the imperfections, the irregularities, the scars that give depth and character to the narrative. They teach us, they mold us, and ultimately, they empower us. As you navigate your own path to self-acceptance, may you find the strength to view your scars not as reminders of past traumas but as badges of honor, symbols of battles won and lessons learned. After all, the most beautiful stories often emerge from the deepest scars.

Each one of us bears the imprints of life's battles - whether they're visible on our skin or etched deep within our souls. These scars, these marks of trials and tribulations, aren't signs of defeat, but badges of resilience and perseverance. When you look in the mirror, don't see them as flaws but as chapters of a story that's uniquely yours. They're evidence of your strength, your ability to endure, to learn, and to grow. Embrace these stories, for they are proof that you've faced challenges and emerged stronger, wiser, and more resilient.

Now, I want you to remember: The journey to self-acceptance is filled with highs and lows, but every scar you carry is a testament to your spirit. They are reminders of moments when you stood tall, faced adversities, and pushed through. When doubts cloud your mind, or the weight of past memories burden your shoulders, stand firm in the belief that you are more than the sum of your scars. You are a beacon of hope, courage, and perseverance. Wear your scars with pride, for they tell the world that you've fought, you've loved, you've lived, and most importantly, you've overcome.
