Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: Harvest of Heroes — A Thanksgiving Tribute! Daarg Deadblast

Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about Daarg Deadblast as my MVP card in Modern when combined with Marlai Singariel as your archon/summoner.
Featured cards

Daarg Deadblast is a Rebellion water splinter that costs 6 mana. It has the ability weapons training and swiftness from the very first level. At level 2, it learns triage and at level 3, it learns dodge. As a support monster with the weapons training ability, I think it works well, as it makes your own monsters faster.

Marlai Singariel is a water summoner that costs 6 mana. It gives +1 magic to all monsters, and increasing the level increases the maximum level of cards that can be on your side. I have been using this card quite a bit because magic is very powerful in the lower leagues. I managed to level this card to level 2, and I have noticed that has helped me a bit in matches.
Why this card?
This card is just amazing as a support monster. The swiftness by itself increases the speed of your entire team by 1, and the weapons training just adds more magic damage to your entire team. If you combine it with Marlai Singariel as your summoner, that is an additional 3 damage, as the weapon trained monster also gains that extra magic damage. Depending on the mana available, you can pick low mana monsters or higher mana monsters when it's available. The higher mana monsters have higher base stats, so they tend to be better when you can afford to use them, but the low mana monsters maintain the damage with slightly lower stats. As mentioned above, I just think that the combination of Marlai Singariel and Daarg Deadblast works out extremely well.
Battles

You can find the first battle here. My opponent had a level advantage over me, but my use of the Daarg Deadblast allowed me to have a few tankier monsters as my weapons trained monster. This was great as the sneak monster wasn't able to deal much damage against my last monster, while the rest of my lineup dealt more damage.

You can find the second battle here. In this battle, I didn't have as much mana available, so I went with two lower mana monsters (total cost of 6) as my support monsters to be weapons trained. The rst of my lineup is just built around keeping my magic monsters alive, and ensuring that I move faster than my opponent.
Conclusion
Daarg Deadblast is such an amazing card, and it synergizes well with Marlai Singariel. By doing so, you are essentially adding 3 damage to your lineup because the weapons trained monsters also gain the extra magic damage. Depending on the mana available, you can swap around cards. If you have plenty of mana, the higher stat monsters tend to work out better. However, if you have low mana, lower mana monsters can work out well. For me, the extra cost of the two monsters in a low mana match is 6. So, for a cost of 13 mana, I have 9 magic damage, and all of those monsters have at least 5 health. There are no bad cards, but this card has just been one of the cards that I have used the most. It works out well because the extra damage just adds up quite well over the course of the match.
What did you think about this card? Have you used it, and is there anything you would change to make this card even more powerful?
