Splinterlands: Lady Amara is great in Going the Distance

Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Lady Amara.

Featured cards

Lady Amara is a light splinter that costs 6 mana. This card no abilities, but it does gain higher stats as you level up this card.

This is a card that I found myself using more in Foundational battles. It is slow, but the high health makes it work well as a backup tank so that the rest of my ranged damage dealers can continue to deal damage.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Going the Distance and Lost Legendaries. This means that no melee or legendary monsters can be used. There is also 24 mana available, and I can use every splinter except water.

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. My archon is Incessant Sage for the +1 armor. Lady Amara is my tank due to her high health. After that are my ranged damage dealers, Wild Horse Tamer and Hungry Ulund. Wild Horse Tamer goes first because it has more health to be a backup tank.

Round 1

At first glance, I think that I have the advantage in this match because of my archon, and my backup tank having more health. We have the same amount of damage on both sides.

Round 8

A few rounds later, my opponent's lineup is reduced to 1 monster, and I still have two. My opponent can't attack anymore so this is my win.

I won the match later that round.

Conclusion

The battle this time did go exactly as planned. Lady Amara was a great tank, and my archon also gave me a slight buffer due to the extra armor. With this, I was able to wipe out my opponent's 2nd monster first and secure the win.
