Splinterlands: Lady Amara is good in dragon breath due to its high health

avatar

Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Lady Amara.

Featured cards

Lady Amara is a light splinter that costs 6 mana. This card starts with no abilities, but it does gain higher stats as you level up this card. It has high base health, but lacks in the speed and attack department.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

rule set.png

The rulesets this time are Unprotected and Dragonbreath. This means that there is no armor, and all ranged/magic monsters can inflict burn. There is also 27mana available, and I can only life splinter.

Wild Horse Tamer63rd
Total Mana:26

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. My archon is Incessant Sage because it's the only life archon in Frontier. My tank is New Beluroc Aegis with taunt. My backup tank is Lady Amara. Finally, I have Wild Horse Tamer as my ranged damage dealer.

Round 1

round 1.png
At first glance, I think that this match can go either way, but I have the advantage. I don't know why my opponent decided to move a ranged monster to the first spot and lose a damage dealer.

Round 4

round 4.png
A few rounds later, both me and my opponent have 2 monster left, but I win because the burn will kill off his magic monster.

I won the match later that round.

Conclusion

The battle this time did go exactly as planned. My opponent misplayed by placing a ranged monster up front. This caused him to lose out on damage, and my Lady Amara was able to survive long enough for me to win the match.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

Good health and low mana cost, both are the good factors

When there's burn, the best winner is always the player that their cards have better health. I think you played quite well to suit the ruleset of this game. I hate burn games lol, especially when I don't have enough cards with good health

The huge base health of Lady Amara plays a big role in winning the match
