Splinterlands: Katrelba Gobson is a great damage dealer
Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Katrelba Gobson.
Featured cards

Katrelba Gobson is an earth splinter that costs 6 mana. This card has bloodlust, sneak, and double strike to start. Leveling this card increases its stats, and it gains snare at level 5 and cripple at level 9.
This is a card that I like to use often in Brawls. I don't have it very high level, but the double strike, sneak, and bloodlust combination is very powerful. It would be nice to have this at level 4 so it gains an extra damage, but it's still powerful at level 3.
Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Blood & Sunder, Aim True, and Regret & Fire. This means that monsters can't miss, and they all gain the corrosive armor and return fire abilities. There is also 16 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for fire, water, and life.
It's an interesting set of rules, and the low mana cap makes this fight challenging. You need to maximize your lineup and also deal damage.
| Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lobb Lowland | 6 | Summoner | -1 speed |
| Failed Summoner | 2 | 1st | Magic Reflect |
| Katrelba Gobson | 6 | 2nd | Double Strike, Sneak and Bloodlust |
| Fungus Flinger | 3 | 3rd | Martyr |
| Total Mana: | 17 |
My summoner is Lobb Lowland for the -1 speed. My tank is Failed Summoner wtih magic reflect. Katrelba Gobson is my main damage dealer with its abilities. Fungus Flinger is my last monster with martyr.
The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while Katrelba Gobson deals damage. Failed Summoner is a nice low mana monster that can reflect magic. Fungus Flinger can die eventually to the return fire, and that will buff my Katrelba.
Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match can go either way. It will take a few turns for my opponent to kill off the failed summoner, so it depends on whether or not I will be missing any attacks. The blast can slowly kill off Katrelba if I miss too much.
Round 8

A few rounds later, my opponent is down to one monster left. This match is my win if I can land my attacks this round, but I will lose otherwise.

I won that match later that round.
Conclusion
The battle this time went exactly as planned. My lineup worked in the end with Katrelba suviving long enough to kill off my opponent. It was quite close though, but I didn't miss too many attacks.
You can see my entire match here.
What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

Katrelba is easily one of the best Earth Gladiators for a reason. Even at level 3, that Double Strike + Bloodlust combo can spiral out of control so fast.
It was actually a very close game, and the double strike was enough to do the damage
The combination of sneak, double strike and bloodlust ability makes this unit very powerful in Brawls
