Splinterlands Engagement Challenge: Tutorials and Tips - Glint and Reward Shop
Every week there is a Splinterlands challenge that can be found in this week's post. I also encourage Splinterlands players to partake in the challenge because they get to learn about the game. In this week's challenge, we talk about some information about Glint.
What is Glint?
Back in 2024, Splinterlands announced that the reward structure of ranked battles would reward Glint, and the Glint would be used in Reward Shop for users to gain rewards. You can read more about it here. At that point in time, they removed the reward of loot chests, but they re-added it the loot chests a while back. Glint is also untradable, and most of the rewards from it are also untradable.
How do I earn Glint?
- Ranked Battles
- Burning Soulbound Reward Cards
The primary way of earning Glint will be through ranked battles, but you can also earn them by burning soulbound reward cards. The amount of Glint you earn is based on your staked SPS, guild bonuses, and your league in ranked battles. Above, you can see all of those factors calculated together to get me a reward boost of 14.68 and a base Glint of 284 from each win. From what I have done in the past, Modern gives more SPS and Glint, but it is harder to advance. When the Wild pass was not in effect, Wild was better for me because I could go higher in the league to get a better modifier. According to this support article, Modern fights will earn 50% or higher more Glint compared to Wild for the same league.
Reward Shop
You can access the reward shop here. This shop resets at the start of each season, and the reset only affects you if you buy out the original stock as it causes you to go to the next stock which has increased prices. I will talk about it in more detail below. There is also a support page for the reward shop
Card Pulls
The top button for "View Reward Cards" allows you to view what you pulled previously from the shop. After that is the common foil pulls and the gold foil pulls. Each rarity goes up in price, and each area has a stock of cards at the base price. When you pick a epic draw, you are guaranteed an epic card, and if you were to choose the gold foil cards, you would get a corresponding gold foil card for that rarity. As for the matches, the common draw has 400 remaining in Batch 1. If you were to buy out all of Batch 1, then you would enter Batch 2 with an increased 50% price.
Loot Chests
The basic information for the loot chests can be found here. Here, you can see the rate at which you will get specific cards. I didn't realize that a higher chest would also increase the chance of legendary and gold foil cards by so much, though.
Resources and Titles
The last two things are resources and titles. You can buy merits, energy, and potions. The titles were a limited time offer, and they are already sold out. These titles were supposed to give players a boost to their earnings so people bought them up quite early.
Conclusion
I think that going back to review Glint, and the reward shop was a great thing to do. It's an important part of the ranked battle system, and understanding it can help you figure out how to achieve your goals. I have been doing ranked battles for quite a while, and there were things that I did not even know. I did not know that the loot chests had specific drop rates, and it was nice to see them.

The batch price increase in the shop has caught my attention, that part feels like a big deal for planning Glint spending long term though that's nice
