Splinterlands: Celestial Guardian is good in Earthquake battles
Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Celestial Guardian.
Featured cards

Celestial Guardian is a life splinter that costs 8 mana. This card starts with flying. It doeesn't learn any new abilities when it levels, but it does gain 2 health making it a tankier monster.
Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Earthquake. This means that all monsters without the flying ability will take 2 physical damage per turn. There is also 24 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for earth and death.
| Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Incessant Sage | 6 | Summoner | +1 Armor |
| Codex Sage | 4 | 1st | Void Armor |
| Celestial Guardian | 8 | 2nd | Flying |
| Lady Amara | 6 | 3rd | |
| Total Mana: | 24 |
My summoner is Incessant Sage for the +1 armor. My tank is Codex Sage with void armor. Celestial Guardian is my backup tank, and Lady Amara is my last magic monster.
The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. I went with a magic lineup because I didn't want to deal with armor. Celestial Guardian is my main damage dealer because it has flying, so it can outlast my opponent.
Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match is my win. My opponent's monsters don't have much health other than his tank. As I am using magic monsters, that dodge ability doesn't hurt me. The earthquake will slowly wipe out his monsters.
Round 2

A round later, my opponent has lost his tank, and most of my monsters are still quite healthy. The earthquake will take one monster down, and the other one will be low enough in health. My magic monsters can't miss, so I don't think there is anything my opponent can do.

I won that match later that round.
Conclusion
The battle this time did go exactly as planned. I had my magic monsters deal damage, and Celestial Guardian stayed alive due to its flying ability. My opponent just slowly died off due to the earthquake damage, and that let me win this match without too many issues.
You can see my entire match here.
What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

Great game though, just once again taking advantage of a better tank and magic cards can do the magic. The last card you had didn't even get any hit. Great tactics
Celestial Guardian is perfect to use for matches with the earthquake ruleset
The decision to use Celestial Guardian for this match is a brilliant idea
