Splinterlands 39th Season of Glint, Merits and SPS
The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I didn't get as many fights as I would like in Modern because I have been more focused on Frontier. I decided to go back to my strategy before the cards in modern format changed, and decrease my league if I am close to the boundary.
Season Rewards

I ended up with 7,004 Glint for last season, which is less than what I was getting before. I got to Silver II like usual in Modern, but it shows Gold I since I managed to move up my Frontier rankings by quite a bit. I am still spending most of my time in Frontier because I want to improve my deck there. Just yesterday, I managed to get the last legendary card to get a copy of every card. Once I get closer to maxing out, I will probably focus more on Modern.

I did get three league advancement rewards in Modern. I didn't get that many cards, but I did get some common scrolls. I don't know if I like all the entry tokens in the chests because I don't pay for the new pass. I got three this time because I purposely dropped my league rank by 1 before the end of the season.

I went for one epic this time. I got quite a few rare cards last time, and I felt that getting some epic cards (which are rarer from advancement chests) was the better choice. I don't think I will be able to save enough for the legendaries, or if it is worth it. I'll see how the chest rewards go during the next season, and I will decide what to do then.
Gladius Packs

I am not sure how many packs I collected, but I realized that I was reading the wrong number when buying packs and mixing up crowns with merits. So I used all my merits this time, and got 9 packs. I have to say that it's too bad that there were no legendary cards, but all the gold foil cards nice, and there is even a gold foil rare this time around.

The first new card that I got was the gold foil version of Krash Wanderford. It doesn't have any attack and I don't have any gold foil weapons training monster. So I am not sure if I will use this much in brawl.

The second new card that I got was a gold foil version of Captain Katie. I think this card is quite useful, and I think I will definitely be using this in my upcoming brawls. The snipe and bloodlust are a deadly combination against opponents.
SPS

My SPS rewards were far lower than last time. My brawls haven't been the greatest as my guild hasn't been ranking well. At the same time, I focus most of my efforts on Frontier, and it doesn't have any SPS rewards.

It doesn't look like the pool is coming back, so I might move the DEC out of my previous liquidity pool. I plan on staking all of my SPS I got from staking for a total of 107.582 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I factor in the time difference.
Conclusion
This season seems worse than the last one by quite a bit. I didn't earn that much SPS or Glint. Most of my time was spent in Frontier for the cards. The only good thing was all the gladius packs that I opened. I realized that I was checking the wrong numbers, but I will know for sure next time. I guess I wasn't paying attention there. I did get two new gold foil cards that I can use in my future brawls. I still think I will be going to Frontier for the cards, but I am going to lower down my league at the end of the season in modern when I think its reasonable enough.
Feel free to leave a comment if you read my post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.

Nice season update, Even with lower Glint and SPS, it’s cool to see how you’re adjusting your strategy and trying new modes.
