Rising Star Weekly Giveaway #225 and Hollow Light of the Sealed Land

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. I also talk about an OST track that I like. Please make sure to read the rules to qualify for the giveaway. I chose a track from a game that I played in the past.

Hollow Light of the Sealed Land

I chose Hollow Light of the Sealed Land as this week's track because of the trailer for the remake of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. This track plays during the trailer of the original version, and the remake (shown below) and during the final dungeon of 1st Chapter. This is one of the best tracks in Trials of the Sky First Chapter, and there are only a few, such as Silver Will, that beat it for me, as this track plays in the promotional trailer and during the final dungeon of the game. I have been looking forward to the remake ever since it was teased a few years ago, and it is looking quite amazing. My favorite version of this track is the Nasty Children edition, and I don't think many Kiseki fans even know of this version. After that, I like the Zanmai version followed by the original version. All of these tracks are great, but I just like the Nasty one more. The Nasty Children album was one of the arrangements that was made quite a long time ago, so it had more Ys tracks than Kiseki tracks.

When I watched the promotional trailer, I immediately thought of this track because it played during the final dungeon in the original version, and the first part of the promotional trailer in the remake. As the very first game in the Kiseki (Trials) series, I am looking forward to this game and it should help make it easier for new people to get into the series. I am very happy to see that this game is releasing, and I have heard that the length of the game will be going from the original 40 hours to play to around 80 hours for full playthrough. From what I have seen in a few videos and articles, the gameplay will be just as challenging, and you can go to areas with higher level mobs if you are up for the challenge. The orbment system from Sky will still be there, so you can still get higher level spells early depending on your quartz layout. The track in the second part of the trailer is Hoshi no Arika (The Whereabouts of Light) that I talked about before in [giveaway 146](https://peakd.com/hive-195370/@jfang003/rising-star-weekly-giveaway-146-and-the-whereabouts-of-light).

Do you like any of these tracks? If so, why?

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

  1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
  2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
  3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
  4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
  5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
  6. If you have more fans than skill and you won't reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
  7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
  8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
  9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
  10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
  11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.

I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine: we just get better with age.
