It just depends on how you want to do things, but I think it depends on how much time you have free. It doesn't take too much to get those maximum curation rewards as you just have to keep your voting power below 100%.

I keep my voting power below 100% but I don’t upvote most popular posts.
It doesn't have to be the most popular. The last hard fork made it so we always use 2% for a full power vote. As long as you vote within the first day, it should give you the max rewards.
