My Hive Goals for 2026 Week #31

I have decided to start posting a weekly update on my progress toward my 2026 goals here on Hive. It helps me stay on track, and I can realize if I am behind on a goal at any point in time. It's the eighth month of the year so far, and there is plenty of time left in the year. Also, for everyone's note, the Saturday Savers has ended, but the Slothly Savers Club has started in its place.

Progress

graph.png
Above are statistics that I have gotten from HiveStats. This week is looking better than last week, and it all adds up over time.

HP

I earned 158 HP earned throughout the week. I am checking this through the difference between the two endpoints on the graph on Hivestats. It's slightly better than last week, but it's still great progress. I did remember HPUD earlier this week and powered up 10 Hive.

HBD

HBD.png
I earned 0 HBD this week. With the price of Hive lower, we have hit the debt limit. This means that we will be earning Hive instead of HBD. I won't be able to add to my HBD savings for a while, but the interest will help me towards that goal. When the Hive price is above the debt limit, I'll add to my savings. There isn't much I can do here, but at least that interest will add up. The APR is more or less at 10%, but I think it might drop more in the future since we are still under the debt limit.

Conclusion

goal progress.png
My progress is looking decent for now. I need around 2% per week, so this week I met that standard. HBD is officially behind where I need to be now. However, without any HBD being earned, it might not be enough if that doesn't change by the end of the year. Other than that, nothing much has changed, and I am just slowly grinding away at my goals. The HBD goal isn't looking that great as I am behind, and I don't think we will be getting HBD anytime soon with the current Hive price. My HP goal is looking great, but my HBD isn't. I am not sure if I want to leave it as is or change some Hive into HBD later down the year. The HP goal is looking good, but I don't think I will be touching HBD for a while. The state of Hive HBD interest just isn't stable.

Do you have any goals for 2026? What is the progress towards your own goals?

Feel free to leave a comment if you read my post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I will do my best to answer.

As Hive continues toward its sub penny price coming by 2030 or likely quite b4 that, it will get easier & easier to earn more Hive but less & less dollar value it’s worth as it goes. Personally I’m of the camp it’s easier to sell half of stake at .60 cents and just buy double amount sold for 10% of cash raised at .03 cents. Hard to make a choice to sell at .04 being down so much but people said same at .10 and if they sold half and just powered down 50% of stake they’d be able to buy back twice as much HP for less than all funds raised selling that 50% 18 months ago.

It seems to be the weekly or monthly goals are easy way to loose cash regularly as it’s just being stats if something crashing 50% every 6 months & than some. I get loving Hive community and not powering down 100% , but I kinda don’t get bot selling a portion when Hive is clearly not doing anything but loosing value year over year minus extreme brief mini pumps that would take being liquid and not powered up to take advantage of. It kinda seems like it’s getting to be no different than the hive accounts who have been posting identical post on Steemit daily but they only get bot votes they delegate to buy via having Steem powered up and they seem to not care the value is down 99% and clearly dead with no interaction but they seem addicted to the warning a token that looses way more value yearly than all rewards ever added together.

When we earned half in HBD and could lock in 50% profits that changed the math but now with most powering up the 50% liquid portion it’s just loosing game with a stat increasing that is loosing real value on every time period. Almost like it’s bit of an addiction watching number go up in a token loosing 50% of value every 6 months or worth over longer scale. Just some advice, at least sell the liquid portion to lock in something so the math isn’t just a loss over any period minus extremely fast artificial pumps that last a day or week.

To me it’s quite obvious we are never getting the 90% plus of active accounts back who bailed past two years due to DHF fraud & inflation nonsense that witnesses & whales keep not changing regardless of how bad things get.

Just do urself a favor, if we ever get a longer term artificial pump like December 2024 - January 2025 which I don’t see as likely but if we do, power down a few weeks and sell 33% of stake to then buy it back for 80% less and u can likely double HP or better with still locking in some cash to remove off Hive platform.

Facts. Though it does seem most here don’t care and just like the gamification aspects that make it fun regardless if they loose real value. That’s cool and all but I personally prefer smearing value. I will continue to sell hive above .04 cents and buy it back at .02 cents as you said it’s likely. If someone could make a centralized version of Hive they’d be rich. People really seem to not mind letting dollars go to make Hive number go up. Well till price goes down another 50% which as you say has been pattern every 6 months or so I will earn my pleb amount of Hive daily & keep turning half into HBD well I keep the HP portion powered up.

Are you holding onto the HBD or keeping it liquid? I have just been keeping it as Hive, but I am not sure if I should just change that into HBD. I am just not as sure on HBD to stay that stable though.

I have started keeping it. HBD I mean but I have only like $70 worth. Frankly I have more concerns about HBD over Hive. The peg is held together with pins basically. If the biggest HBD holder tried to get all his funds out we’d see a total mess. I wish they’d stop the peg nonsense to remove much pressure off Hive.
What do you think? @jfang003

@geneeverett what about HBD prediction? Got one?

I don't trust the peg at all, and I don't think it's helping Hive at the current prices. If Hive were healthy, then I think the peg would be fine, but it's not.

I don't think I'll power down, but I have been keeping the liquid portion from the rewards. If we do a longer-term pump, I'll probably remove that portion. I do agree that I should probably power down, but I just can't seem to bring myself to. HBD savings isn't looking that solid either as they cut the APR there, and the DHF cuts were too little and late.

HBD peg will indeed break hard when the biggest holders try to dump. The other reply makes a valid point. Those accounts just keep leaving it to keep compounding, that said they will never likely get it out at a dollar value. The volume is way too low for it to not breakdown when the biggest holders try taking out serious numbers. So yeah the APR keeps going lower but that’s not the main issue. The peg is very weak, it’s just lack of heavy withdrawals keeping it from being an issue. It’s a time bomb. I only keep a few hundred HBD in there for brief periods to earn while I wait to withdraw.

When the year ends, I'll probably take out my HBD from savings and convert it into liquid Hive. I don't trust the liquidity when it comes down to it.

Congratulations man, this is honestly great, and just keep accumulating no matter what the naysayers say or think. We'd always see them.

I also think the APR on HBD could still decrease in the future

It should be 5% by now.
It’s remained way to slow coming down from 20% as Hive is down 99% even one of we just go down another penny. 98% plus already meaning APR on HBD hasn’t kept up and it’s way behind. Hive should have a higher APR due to price collapse. Oh well I’m no witness just a lonely pleb here :)

Yes. I think the APR there could drop so I haven't been cpunting on it.
